Thee Oh Sees are my favorite band, and I was looking up The Creation’s version of this song, I had no idea they even covered this. I’m so happy holy fuck.
john dwyer does artwork yes but I think according to some sources a guy name "kyle ranson" did album artwork. wikipedia says so anyways, credits are also given accordingly. JOhn dwyer is a great artist though! and im sure in his past albums he did the work maybe?
I must correct my self. This cover is BETTER that The Creation or Big Wheel's recordings. I forgot about OCS' version of Pink Floyd's "Fearless". That has the same playful, almost irreverent quality about it. Sorry spoke without thinking.
conceded it's not a FLAC audiophile super tingly EQ level rip. but they're a garage band, this is what they sound like. one of my favorites from them is barely intelligible with all the pedals and reverb and such: th-cam.com/video/lbKKa8EDA7s/w-d-xo.html
The vocals kind of remove any sense of romance that made the original so much better. Although there's a general flow to the original that creates this great sense of longing that Thee Oh Sees just can't capture.
It's superior to the original ( I love the Creation) in the same way that The Godz version of " You Won't See Me " is , to me many, many times better than The Beatles recording.
The chorus always makes me think of i can change the world
This is Creation song from the album "We are paintermen"
action painting

@camcansh3 It is the band's singer who does all the covers.
I don't know who did the artwork for this album cover but it kicks ass
Big Wheel uit Den Haag.
original artist: the creation
album: we are paintermen
labels: hit-ton schallplatten (germany) and sonet (sweden)
year: 1967

kinda reminds me of the beatles...this song at least. first time hearing them
It was possibly John Dwyer, he does pretty much all the artwork.
Nice BMSR reference in your name.
if you're referring to castlemania's art, william keihn was the artist.
Awesome band...lyrics anyone??

Can someone say what the chords are? Thanks!
I'm pretty sure John Dwyer does the art work for the band.
The Pixies could have write this one
love it.....
brian jonestown massacre much?
I like this cover, but what's up with the recording quality?
Its just a lo-fi style of recording. Many of their tracks are lo-fi

Agree this version transcends the Creation version. Not sure that The Godz You Won't See Me is better that The Fabs, but thanks for hipping me to it!
@greasertrash I can still hear the lyrics just fine. When you listen to Metal and rap, you develop a keen ear, lol.
@alek276 wow....calm down jeez. xD
