cheating was always present in a certain way. but i feel the last years it has become much worse. clear words from shroud here. developers might have ignored cheating or even accepted it to a point where everyone is openly complaining. worst experience for me the last years were cs:go (2017-2019) and warzone. seems like a lot of people are willing to pay for cheats to look better or just to ruin other players experience. i hope the devs put much effort in developing a good anticheat which is ruining the fun of cheaters fast, like some hours. not like cs;go or warzone where people could cheat over months/years.
Except there's still tons of cheaters and you only get your gear back if the cheater is banned manually, if the cheater who killed you gets banned by battle eye you dont get any cheater compensation
For those joining a year or more later....the game died and devs blamed it on the cheating resurgence. Mostly cuz they couldn't afford to keep paying for the expensive anti cheat solution that actually worked for a single season (season 2)
Whoever makes a really solid instance-based loot shooter is gonna kill it ala Fortnite/PUBG craze, but this game won't be it with the rampant cheating right now.
you wont see any for a solid 100 hours, plenty of fun to be had before you ever have to worry about it, i have 60 hours and haven't seen a single cheater & i'm nowhere near the second map missions yet, it's worth the instal since it's free, just don't spend any money & uninstall once you get to the point you're running into cheaters

It really comes with that map, if you play the other map it's super rare to see cheaters, played 6 hours yesterday and only saw one. Dropping drills brings really good pvp aswell.

A simple death cam (not a laggy shit one like pubg, but an actual literal version of what happened on the other player's monitor) would help immensely I think, it would make reporting players so much easier instead of having to speculate. Bruh when I started playing this game 2 years ago or so you started solo and you could wave at other solo player to form alliances and it was hella fun because sometimes they would leave the alliance and betray you so it had another social aspect to the games, I made a couple friends that way too.

That said the guy at 4:00 isn't cheating the manticore is just the best gun in the game. Dont run purple armor and only run one purp gun at a time and you wont get head hunted
This is how I feel about Tarkov, I love Tarkov despite all the weird and unusual updates, but the cheater problem is so massive. There recently was a 9000 account ban-wave and I still get queued with a cheater that just hunts you down within 5 minutes every 3-5 raids.
That's because as a new player you're automatically put into lower mmr lobbies. The more time you put into the game the more your mmr will increase naturally. Most cheaters are in higher mmr lobbies because of how much loot they extract with

Died doing my first raid to a hacker sniping me across the maps with a gorgon / grey gear. Lost all purple gear. Died about 7 times today to Chinese hackers while playing Cresant falls and I was just done. Uninstalled for good.
FPS games attracts a lot of cheaters simply due to the nature of FPS games, so having it be F2P even makes that whole thing even worse because they don't care if they get banned, they just make a new account. The F2P model works better for games like Hearthstone or even MMOs etc unless your budget is crazy and you can set up pretty decent anti-cheating software, like Valorant, but that is literally the only F2P FPS game I don't see a tons of cheaters in.
Yah they need to make it so that you have to pay to own the game. It will cut down on some of the cheaters. But frankly we just need to find these cheat developers and put them in prison for 10 to 20 years and make it illegal to cheat in any multi-player game.

Its a hard challenge ofcourse you need a good amount of resources to fight against cheaters, but you also need a good amount of good game devs to make a fun game, seems like only AAA titles can deliver (but only if they care), which is sad a indie developer will definitely struggle to make a fun expierence while keeping at bay of the cheaters.

I think they should ban more frequently, I hope to see shroud playing other games and having fun again. I wouldn't recommend playing this game until this problem is solved.
You’ll only run at cheaters at higher mmr and/or have high stash. But if you are starting early on you’ll rarely run into some cheaters. Its a good game
YES! games like EFT & TCF are still in their infancy as a genre & I've said from the beginning that the "best" or most popular game in the genre is probably still yet to come! and i can only imagine after the release of Call of Duty's rumored "DMZ" game mode the genre will likely explode and many more games will spawn.

EFT is not in its infancy and ive been playing since 2018. the TCF however is very much in that stage atm. there is alot wrong with the game. they honestly should have delayed release and made it a paid product. gives them time to actually work on new content rather than just adding a dungeon for the release since the last playtest. and you know get in a anti cheat. they have absolutely no definitive ban system for blatant cheat abusers.

Dota had been out for nearly a decade before leaguue of legends came along and blew up the genre and spawned a bunch of mobas from evey corner of the gaming industry... same deal with Battle royale, H1Z1 had been out a solid 5 years before pubg ever existed and blew up the genre and spawned a bunch of BR's etc... it's the amount of games not the amount of time the first one was out

I’ve been giving this game a shot and it’s been fun and met some nice people while just doing missions. I just be minding my business sometimes and get ego chall by a chad when I have tier one equipment
If you're creating a competitive FREE Game or something with a 1 life mode in 2022 the NUMBER 1 thing you have to put above anything else including gameplay it's an anti cheat. This is our reality. I even hope we create legislation around this issue.
@Sneef no they aren't. He's saying that riot should sell their anti cheat because of how good it is. I've only encountered a cheater twice and they have to be real subtle about it. And even then, I've got a game terminated just once for a cheater, and the other cheater got banned within a few days
I uninstalled Cycle pretty quickly after starting it, if it isn't the hackers it's the crackheaded bullet sponge AI that chases down and murders you cuz half of them are faster than you sprinting and take full stacks of ammo to the chin and shrug it off.
I really hope that these games don't continue to force people to play in groups. Please introduce a solo vs solo or solo/duo queue at least. As somebody that doesn't like to engage with randoms or talk to a lot of people I'm not friends with irl, it leaves me as a solo vs anywhere from 2-5 mans depending on the game. Perhaps you could say nut up and socialize, but please just create split queues. I promise your player base won't disintegrate. I know I'm not the only one like this. This is the only reason I don't play Apex which is otherwise a good game. Imagine being forced into 1vX clutches in every valorant round..
Not gonna play the game again until they add in a feature that allows you to rejoin after crashes/disconnects. Been having so many problems with the game crashing. Really is a mood killer when you disconnect from 3-4 games in a row or disconnect on an amazing run. Would honestly rather run into cheaters, cause at least I'd have a chance, even if it's small.

one way to solve the teacher issues may be to add like a prime feature like cs that lets you play with prime members then if anyone cheats you ban their steam from the game completely this solves the cheating to some extent unless the man has money to throw around without care then this will fix it. but there is also the issue that this may cause problems, first there is the dificulty of running two types of servers, there is also the problem that maybe an absolute god player gets reported too much even though he is not cheating he gets banned and quits the game which would be catastrophic to your games avid player base if this happens often. so to be honest i have no idea i dont trust these anti cheat softwares too they have too much access to your device for me to ever feel safe with them. anyone got better ideas boys?
This video is heartbreaking. Right before most of these cheats you saw intense battles, butt hole clenching tactics and plays and then just a sad display from fedora wearing "high value men" sweats.
I like the game, but the cheaters, horrible balance and boring meta's just make it so hard to get back into it. From it once being your armor dictated a fight to now a white gun can insta kill pink armor. It just got really hard to enjoy

I love this game but if I have a few good raids and get a bump up in MMR, then put on blue gear to go for some PvP, I end up running into cheaters every now and then. This is coming from someone with like 50 hours in the game, by the way. That's how bad things are now.

I'm afraid the cheats will continually get better than anti-cheats. You can already search up the contraption that you put your mouse in. It has wheels on it and software that PHYSICALLY moves the mouse. It's a completely physical aimbot. How do you detect that? Might not even have FPS games 5+ years from now.
@@eatsmoke I also work on a small game studio (just over 100 people), so I get it, but Epic Games literally has it’s own anti cheat, and they don’t want to take it because it would cost revenue. To me, that’s just a dumb choice long term.
This is purely the reason why I eventually gave up on the game. I love it so bad, it's so fun to play, but when you die to a cheater almost 5 raids in a row, you just give up. I have nothing from playing the game furter like this, but when you see someone for 1 frame and you are dead, yeah this needs to be dealth with QUICKLY or else the game is gon' suffer more. I'm willing to return as soon as the cheater problem will be over. Until then, I wish developers good luck and hope they'll do something about it asap.
You cant blame the game for the cheating issue though. The devs are actually the RIGHT kind of devs for nce and are working their asses off to keep up with the cheats. The game is incredibly fun, it could be both peaceful and competitive at the same time, however the cheating really, really ruins it, especially when you're in the Asian server (yes, it's not just a meme, there are actually a lot of cheaters among us)

EFT is not in its infancy and ive been playing since 2018. the TCF however is very much in that stage atm. there is alot wrong with the game. they honestly should have delayed release and made it a paid product. gives them time to actually work on new content rather than just adding a dungeon for the release since the last playtest. and you know get in a anti cheat. they have absolutely no definitive ban system for blatant cheat abusers.

Dota had been out for nearly a decade before leaguue of legends came along and blew up the genre and spawned a bunch of mobas from evey corner of the gaming industry... same deal with Battle royale, H1Z1 had been out a solid 5 years before pubg ever existed and blew up the genre and spawned a bunch of BR's etc... it's the amount of games not the amount of time the first one was out

They are and they do. It just does nothing in the end as there are always new cheaters that will replace the old ones. As has been proven time and time again.

If you're creating a competitive FREE Game or something with a 1 life mode in 2022 the NUMBER 1 thing you have to put above anything else including gameplay it's an anti cheat.

I've only encountered a cheater twice and they have to be real subtle about it. And even then, I've got a game terminated just once for a cheater, and the other cheater got banned within a few days

I uninstalled Cycle pretty quickly after starting it, if it isn't the hackers it's the crackheaded bullet sponge AI that chases down and murders you cuz half of them are faster than you sprinting and take full stacks of ammo to the chin and shrug it off.

I really hope that these games don't continue to force people to play in groups. Please introduce a solo vs solo or solo/duo queue at least. As somebody that doesn't like to engage with randoms or talk to a lot of people I'm not friends with irl, it leaves me as a solo vs anywhere from 2-5 mans depending on the game. Perhaps you could say nut up and socialize, but please just create split queues. I promise your player base won't disintegrate. I know I'm not the only one like this. This is the only reason I don't play Apex which is otherwise a good game. Imagine being forced into 1vX clutches in every valorant round..

Not gonna play the game again until they add in a feature that allows you to rejoin after crashes/disconnects. Been having so many problems with the game crashing. Really is a mood killer when you disconnect from 3-4 games in a row or disconnect on an amazing run. Would honestly rather run into cheaters, cause at least I'd have a chance, even if it's small.

is cheating mainly prevelant in higher mmr? i haven't encountered a single cheater yet but clearly there is cheaters in the game. I just feel like maybe my mmr is still too low to encounter any of them?
one way to solve the teacher issues may be to add like a prime feature like cs that lets you play with prime members then if anyone cheats you ban their steam from the game completely this solves the cheating to some extent unless the man has money to throw around without care then this will fix it. but there is also the issue that this may cause problems, first there is the dificulty of running two types of servers, there is also the problem that maybe an absolute god player gets reported too much even though he is not cheating he gets banned and quits the game which would be catastrophic to your games avid player base if this happens often. so to be honest i have no idea i dont trust these anti cheat softwares too they have too much access to your device for me to ever feel safe with them. anyone got better ideas boys?

I like the game, but the cheaters, horrible balance and boring meta's just make it so hard to get back into it. From it once being your armor dictated a fight to now a white gun can insta kill pink armor. It just got really hard to enjoy

I love this game but if I have a few good raids and get a bump up in MMR, then put on blue gear to go for some PvP, I end up running into cheaters every now and then. This is coming from someone with like 50 hours in the game, by the way. That's how bad things are now.

Opinions like this is what killed call of duty for the longest time. No one cares about specialists or characters. Gameplay should carry the game enough to be interesting. If you wanna play a story game go play a story game.
I don't want to say its too late.. but honestly the feeling of being cheated will always be in that game now. Even if they start doing a great job banning cheaters, the perception is that cheating is rampant.

I'm afraid the cheats will continually get better than anti-cheats. You can already search up the contraption that you put your mouse in. It has wheels on it and software that PHYSICALLY moves the mouse. It's a completely physical aimbot. How do you detect that? Might not even have FPS games 5+ years from now.
Imagine having the biggest gaming influencer in the world playing your game for free and then not adressing a very considerable issue like cheats.
they are a very small indie studio, it's not that they aren't addressing it, it just takes a lot of time and resources
@@eatsmoke I also work on a small game studio (just over 100 people), so I get it, but Epic Games literally has it’s own anti cheat, and they don’t want to take it because it would cost revenue. To me, that’s just a dumb choice long term.

This is purely the reason why I eventually gave up on the game.
I love it so bad, it's so fun to play, but when you die to a cheater almost 5 raids in a row, you just give up.
I have nothing from playing the game furter like this, but when you see someone for 1 frame and you are dead, yeah this needs to be dealth with QUICKLY or else the game is gon' suffer more.
I'm willing to return as soon as the cheater problem will be over.
Until then, I wish developers good luck and hope they'll do something about it asap.

You cant blame the game for the cheating issue though. The devs are actually the RIGHT kind of devs for nce and are working their asses off to keep up with the cheats. Games been out less than six months. If this game can make it through the eary cheater stage and survive playerbase wise, we are onto a winner. P.s. No, im not just biased.

The game is incredibly fun, it could be both peaceful and competitive at the same time, however the cheating really, really ruins it, especially when you're in the Asian server (yes, it's not just a meme, there are actually a lot of cheaters among us)
