Thanks for coming up our way in Northeast PA. I ride the D&L incessantly and recognized most of the filming locations. Riding through the falling leaves is absolutely magical. Looks like you enjoyed your visit.
The DL is great for seeing the changes in nature. I ride it promably 1-2x a week, it's nice to be able to perceive nature changing. It means something to me. Makes me feel present.
I live in Pa and this D& L trail is one of my favorites. I never consider rail trains boring I am always looking at different things . And thanks for visiting Pa Ryan . Your videos got me hooked on the 600 great bike ... I personally like the original shifting I think it’s a simple re thinking of how to shift and once you figure it out it a million times better than trigger shifting .
Dude!! I have been following you for years. Can't believe you finally made it to my home town of Jim Thorpe PA. There's nothing like it in the Fall. Wish I knew you were coming. I would have been put to meet you.
I so Glad you got a chance to bike ride the D&R/D&L Trail 🚴♂️😎.. You are right about Rails to Trails.. they do have a similar Scenery.. Hopefully on your next trip east you get to bike ride the C&O Canal From DC to Pittsburgh on the GAP trail.. talk about going thru history & the fantastic towns.. The Town of Jim Thorpe PA & the Lehigh Gorge State Park on my list of Trails to do.. hopefully in the Spring time.. Great Video 🌞💫🎥
My first job in the early 80’s was at Piper Aircraft in PA. They felt if you were going to design airplanes you would be better if you flew them. I got my pilots license at minimal cost. Seems like Priority has the same theory. Just another reason why I feel they are such a good company.
You need to ride the Great Allegheny Passage and C and O canal . Two trails that connect Pittsburgh and Washington DC - often comes up on the list as #1 in the top rail trails in the US.
So great to see you not only in the East Coast but my home state. I always watch your videos, and seeing you ride the same canal trail I have ridden really kicks it up a notch. Thanks for sharing!
@@duzer I have a great question pertaining to two types of bikes, either the priority Gemini, or the 600 adx the latest released version. Between the two, which would be more ideal for someone who would bike tour primarily on rail trails and tow paths similar to the trails featured in this video. More specifically gap trail, c&o ,Erie Canal trail and so on…. That being said, in New Jersey where I would do my casual riding there’s a lot of sandy single track… and just sand in general. Which of these bikes would be able to split double duty the best. My emphasis would be on comfort.
Thank you.. World needs people like you. I made your Rabrai video and you even rode and talked for about half mile. You have the best personality. Keep it up.
What an awesome 3-day adventure with some solid humans! Ryan, I'm always amazed, and jealous, at the rides you do and the beautiful people you do them with! You have a way at capturing the essence of what bike riding is all about, too. One day soon, I'll be calling Priority to place an order and I look forward to working with, and contributing to, a great company. Cheers Beans!
Welcome to my state! We think PA's pretty, but it's nice to see others appreciate it too. You guys timed the leaves about perfectly. You inspired me to host a trail ride last weekend with friends. New video idea- Duzer rides bikes in the 50 states?
Incredible! I was just riding the GAP and C&O towpath a few weeks ago with your buddy Tim H. I’m from Ohio, been in Denver for 20+ years, and yeah riding in the east is so gorgeous and different from Colorado.
So glad you came to PA Ryan. So much good riding here. I'm sure you know about the C&O and GAP trail, Washington DC to Pittsburg. IF all goes well I will be riding it this summer. Maybe I'll see you out there.
I got a surly moonlander a few months ago with 6" tires and pinion gearing. I rode from Reno Nevada, to Las Vegas only on OHV trails. It was so much fun and I was completely alone most of the way. It's similar to the baja divide but about a third of the distance
Another wonderful adventure video in the true Ryan Van Duzer-style❤ your videos from three years ago inspired me to do longer and longer ride distances. Now, this series inspires me to do canal trails in the northeast. Thanks for this series Ryan, it was awesome 😊❤
Another joy filled video. Thanks Duzer! Priority seems like a really cool company. Also, Jabba is awesome. I’m stoked he’s been in a lot your vids lately!
Great videos. I live near the DR canal in NJ and have ridden your route in pieces many times. I thoroughly enjoyed your 2 videos. They were beautiful fun and well done. Thanks
We’ve had a house in Carbon County since 1978 and must agree with all the praise. 😉😍 The climbs can be quite beastly at times, most folks ride along the Lehigh Gorge between Jim Thorpe and White Haven.
I’m from that part of PA originally. What you just rode wasn’t available in my day as a kid. I definitely need a return visit. Thanks for the update and keep exploring!❤
Great video! Looking forward to riding from Wilkes-Barre (berry) to Bristol. Your ride stopped in the town of Mountain Top. The trail is not open past there but it is passable in most sections and even improved and almost open in some areas northbound. This is truly a gem for the area and it is a blessing to have such an influential person riding it and posting content. Thank You!
Great content Ryan, and thanks for highlights from my neck of the woods, I'm glad you enjoyed these trails. The crew from Priority seem genuinely great, probably a great place to work. Good to see jaba discovering beauty in his own backyard.
You’re ridding my local trails, about 15 years ago Where the kid was ridding a wheelie, I too had a guy pass me doing a wheelie. My wife said “How is he doing that?”. I said like this! And (I’d never tried to wheelie with clip-less peddles before) proceeded to ride a wheelie right off the trail, down the embankment and into the canal! All without falling or dropping my camera.
