The problem here is that people under estimate the warp. The Immaterium is not something as limited as just some “higher-dimensional reality”. It transcends such. The Warp itself can house a higher-dimensional reality of any size, such as when a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus perceived the infinite-dimensional datascape, which was greater than “every paradigm of scalable time”. The Warp’s geometries defy explanation of any kind, while higher dimensions do not.
The being that can not just traverse the Immaterium but have domains there (like the chaos god and the emperor) are closer in power to a being like... Nyarlathotep from Cthulhu than Lolth.
@@mikaelantonkurki Well the thing is that the Chaos Gods are limited by the influence of the Warp and the collective consciousness of all life. Meanwhile in other universes like D&D, you have gods that can restructure reality at will even outside of their home plane, and they're only held back by divine treaties and laws enforced by beings of higher power, who are themselves subject to higher tier gods all the way to something like Ao the Overgod, who is himself only one of countless Overgods that oversee the multiverse.

The hilarious thing about the Alarith horned helmet is that it's supposed to train them to always keep their balance and keep upright like the mountains they revere and live in/on. But every time I see them I keep wondering how their damn necks haven't broken. They're elves for crying out loud, they don't exactly have the strongest physical forms and something that top-heavy is gonna do a hell of a lot worse than pitch them over face first into the mud! LMAO
The Emperor's inability to level with normal people and understand what drives them is especially funny to me when considering how the primarchs are said to each embody particular aspects of the emperor's personality. Now consider how both Perturabo and Dorn are both bricks when it comes to understanding people. Perturabo in particular employing his own brand of cold machine logic where, as some people have put it, he could design the perfect system but has no understanding of the people who have to be part of it.
Even worse, he's a psyker. His lack of emotional intelligence is kind of pathetic for someone that can directly perceive the emotions of others...
The God-Emperor is a C+ at best kinda god. Yes his followers loyalty is great and mighty...if you're a named character. Or in a named regiment. The average imperial citizen is a blind sheep or dog and sometimes a sheep turns out to be a stubborn ram, but that's it.
The 40K gods are about level with most old pagan gods. Much more powerful than standard humans, but are rather limited in scope and can sometimes be beaten with the right tricks and tools. I mean, Sisyphus managed to lock *Death* in a *trunk* for a good while. Not Hades, he's just king of the underworld, *literal Death.*
Which was far weaker than any of the higher tier gods death was a low tier being in the pantheon

Ah yes, that lovely story. I recall that Ares (a god associated with the nastier sides of war despite having less of a record for the usual shit than nearly all of his male relatives) had to play detective just to find that trunk and get Death out of it.

@@am-ranth8955 In Dragon Ball, Ki strength usually coincides with hax resistance, and the stronger the ki, the greater your ability to resist mental effects and psychic effects. Ki also provides a barrier against such attacks.

Pancreas released a video going over the Chaos Gods in detail on the same day that I posted this comment.
Chaos is simply overhype by many and the amount of contradiction and retcon they posses are cracked.
Beings such has Destiny (the game) Gardener and Widower are so cracked they solidify their place has one of the strongest fictional god's.
Chaos his limited by rules of the universe such has how the gods are born from emotion hell most are not even that old in a cosmic scale.
Orxy and the Hive would rock 40k’s shit after all they are conquering entire galaxies.
@@cpaul562 I know right if we are to take it with a grain of salt the hive is multy galaxy large. personally i'd say the vex would be a far better match has they would showcase how little does 40k really scale.

The dust and blood scarlet king? the tufto proposal one? or 2747? i can see why youd say hes comparable to kaktus verse SC but the only 3 are so vastly more powerful than the emperor that i just would like more clarification
The problem with making any judgements about the Emperor is that it's pretty much all speculation and individual interpretation. All details of the Emperor's actual personality, motivations and thoughts have been kept purposefully vague and ambiguous in the lore. We never actually see anything written from His perspective, and we only see Him through the biases, preconceptions, and limited perception of other characters. Was he too far removed from humanity to understand our motives and mindsets? Or was He busy threading the needle of possible futures, doing and saying whatever He needed to in any given moment to shift the future in His plan's favor? Malcador actually comments on this in one of the later Horus Heresy novels just before the Siege of Terra starts, where he reflects that even he has no idea when the Emperor is sincere or when He is only doing or saying what His foresight shows Him would lead to a better outcome for the plan.
Personally I prefer the interpretation that the Emperor did actually understand humanity just fine, and that he did understand how His sons thought and operated, but He was playing a never-ending game of 5d chess against all of the Chaos gods simultaneously, always reliant on His foresight to pick out which course of action mitigated risk and maximized the chance of His plan to defeat Chaos coming to fruition. Perhaps explaining the threat of Chaos to the Primarchs would have been more likely to lead to a Bad End than keeping them ignorant. Perhaps outlawing religion was less likely to blow up in His face than allowing it to persist.
Unfortunately, mitigating risk does not eliminate it, and one of the possible Bad Ends reared its head and ruined His plan, leaving Him with nothing to do but to run some limited form of damage control as humanity spiraled down toward all the horrors He tried to save them from. I think that interpretation of the Emperor fits the overall setting's theme of tragedy and cruel irony much better than the idea that the Emperor was just some out-of-touch, ivory tower despot who failed by having fewer people-skills than the average dumbass off the street.
One problem with you interoritation; not telling his GENERALS about chaos. And no if normal ass people of Interex can look at chaos relics in a PUBLIC DISPLAY his own fucking kids certainly could handle it. This if nothing else telling us he was at best an antisocial moron.
Or killing everything on his path do you really think all of the death and suffering great crusade DIDN'T power chaos?

The eldar were a completely galaxy spanning empire. And in other dimensions. Their numbers could be conservatively projected into the quadrillions before the fall. There likely ARE almost as many eldar as humans left even with 90+% of them gone.

Nope, not even close. The Eldar are VASTLY outnumbered, their craftworlds at best hold several hundred millions of Eldar (I said AT BEST) and the number of craftworlds are unlikely to pass 1000, and that doesn't even compare to the Imperium's numbers.
@@KrakenWind That's a failure of the writers to realize what they actually DID. Like most sci-fi creators, they have no concept of the scales they're playing with. Like a hive would wouldn't fit billions. Or trillions. You could, before the waste heat starting cooking everyone, theoretically get up to a quadrillion people onto a fully arcology filled planet. The numbers 40K plays with are hilariously tiny.
