Thanks for continuingly adding to our Starfield experience. Pretty much every ship I build has quad dual flack turrets (Those things are so much fun to watch work in third person), and a couple of those mesmerizing shield boosters.. A lot of my builds also have your walk-in reactor and at least one Matilija staircase. FYI, I love the new bridges. All of 'em..I've built at least two different builds with each variant. Your stuff is without any doubt among my favorite mods.
the cockpit connections do not work well. inside the pilot cabin the character cannot reach the hold the crew cannot pass he gets stuck in the seats near the hold
The Va'ruun captain looked at the huge approaching science or pleasure vessel, he wasn't sure which. He was thinking about giving the observation bubble a bigger window when the behemoth's weapon systems began annihilating his entire fleet. Fireworks over, Cora leaves the observation bubble and heads to a narrow spot to stand.
I always have trouble with the capital class rail gun and getting all three entrance to the large command cockpit you just put out. But by far I love the amount of work and detail you put into your mod!
love your work as always. the inly issues I've had so far have been the huge hit boxes around the seats, makes it hard to navigate the security 3x3. otherwise there are some floor issues in the corner glass habs where some objects I place try to be placed in the floor and some crew's feet sink in the floor. but otherwise its all working amazingly and your ramps are some of the nicest to use because of the lighting, and I love the cross ways with the windows!
Love your mods man. Probably the only reason to play starfield for a lot of people. If BGS was smart they’d get you on payroll, and just let you do your thing. Glad I get to enjoy your work for free though.
The darkstar landing pad that's close to the ground will cause issues with the lift. AMAZING WORK BRO THANK YOU SO MUCH . NEW COCKPITS PERFECT. LIFTS ARE IMMERSIVE. I hope you do a lift for the vehicles when they get added.
I have yet to make a full build with just your mod. But I am planning on it. I mainly just use the 1x1x3 staircase, landing bay and a 1x1 hab with the docker snap points atm. They fit so well on my frontier redesign.
Can't wait to see all the new bits appear on the Xbox mods, I had to start a new game cos the one I was playing just craped out so one I've maxed the ship building perks I can really play with ship building
The people on Xbox with problems with the cargo: Snap the cargo box, and then snap the cargo in its place in red, move to the next option of cargo and return to the one you wanted in first place, and then release like when you do the flip trick. 😊
Any piece with the bronze trim above the edges like the bar and glass corner habs always have issues. The bar will snap with no issue but anything going above/below goes red. the corner habs are never green. but the flip glitch works fine making them useable. The big single cannons will not snap to bottom of the new cockpits, and the destroyer (non turret) encased guns are always red and not useable on PC since no method to flip them. The turret versions are fine. Just FYI to hopefully help. I love your work.
On PC you can simply add the lines [Spaceship] fShipBuilderModuleOverlapTolerance=-2.0 to your StarfieldCustom.ini file located in documents/my games/starfield and it will ensure everything snaps easily. I have removed those lines for this testing here.
Could we possibly get a tutorial on how to use your pieces in ship building? I'm having issues getting the shape I want and I'm not too sure how all the pieces work together.
Love your ship parts I use them on every ship I was gonna mention I had a idea that maybe you can try and make I was thinking of like a circular hab like a circle but it have like the hab connection points on angles so you could make like an x shape if you wanted to I think that that could be pretty cool and help make some pretty cool ship designs
Random question: I’m having issues getting some of the ship weapons to fire, worked fine until tonight. I’m curious if anyone’s run into this bug and what it’s related to. Any ideas?
The only issues I have on PC, is with connecting the weapon lifts to the hold. And strangely enough, the new bridge never shows up for me… I guess I’ll try another clean install but it’s a head scratcher.

Have you watched my video how to on them? and how to get them to work. First place the weapon you want, then get a battlestation and or structural weapon container move the battle station or container over the weapon so that you hear the click(it will be red) then flip the battle station and or weapon container and then hit the b button and they should stay snapped in place.
Any chance you have looked into decorations disappearing in your habs? Many people telling me they are having this issue. Kind of hoping it will be addressed. This is the 3rd time I have asked without a response. Is there another way to have our questions answered? Thanks.
Unfortunately I'm not sure why it's happening, so the best response I can give, no, because I don't know where to start. My habs follow vanilla rules, most of their data started as a copy of a vanilla hab and then simply had the models/interior adds changed/removed. So why they would work in the vanilla hab they were originally copied from and not in mine, I simply don't have an answer for.
I'm not sure what you mean, my menu is mostly vanilla, minus the ship builder categories mod which seperates the vanilla habs into their own categories.

Hey anyone able to help with the class C ACS100 anti-capital I can't get it to connect to anything think iv tried every vanilla and matilija part and none of them snap to it. It snaps to them but it doesn't flip to do the flip trick 😢
I'm still working on trying to figure out why it doesn't want to snap on xbox. Hopefully should have it fixed permanently when I next update, which is what I'm currently working on, is snapping issues and model performance issues.

Bridge requires level 95 and starship design 4 and ball turrets require level 90 starship design 3 I think off the top of my head. The next release will lower the level requirement on the bridge, but it's still a few weeks out.
Every time a mod on Xbox requires an update you have to fully delete and redownload the mod. Updating via creations menu is bugged. It will show the mod has been updated to the latest version but it won't actually have the latest versions data.
Already there in V3.01 but in that version they require level 95 and starship level 4. My next update will lower those requirements, but it's still a few weeks away.
Kind of a long response, but... The author of DerreTech quit modding for a few months back in late November and made his original release open source, so I started my mod as a DerreTech expansion which originally simply added the pilot seat screens to the pilot seat in his original cockpit. Then I proceeded to add a bunch of new structural parts and made my security hab off his original 3x3x2 empty hab model and a bar hab. Then author of that mod returned and started working on his mod again in early April but left his original work as open source, so I continued with my expansion. However, in May, the official update broke both the original DerreTech and my expansion mod, when the author of DerreTech decided to start over with made from scratch models and his new version no longer had open source permissions. So I removed all of my dependencies from his mod and renamed my expansion to matilija's Aerospace to separate them and keep developing things in that original style. So the real question is, why did I "copy" i.e. expand on the original DerreTech, the answer is pretty simple, it at the time, and arguably still is one of the best ship mods out there, and when the author stepped away from modding, I was heartbroken that there wasn't going to be any more of my favorite mod, so I took it upon myself to continue to expand on it. His return and subsequent restart of his mod made me realize that my expansion had grown substantially past the orignal release in terms of module additions, so it only made sense to make it it's own thing.

Alternatively just use TNs ship building tweaks which resolves all red snapping issues.

Why does DerreTech copy you? Is there any relation or collaboration between you gentlemen?
That mod I believe came first, and support was kind of dropped for it, at least to my knowledge. That's why the staircases seem unfinished.
