I've been sampling the songs here so far and I'm just impressed with how cool they sound, for a group that has close to fifty years in the music business the brothers sound modern and not stuck in old habits.👍🏾
You know, they are just ready to change, and it's great. But a major breakthrough they had in Lil Beethoven now repeat. Lil Beethoven was drama and it was really cool, the songs and album, I'm a choreographer and that's why music for me is stuff at work. Something like this, but they are great, and the music speaks for itself.
Heartbreaker😢. A wonderful one. Makes me think of my Mother's words : "In the end, you will not regret the things you have done. It is all those things you didn't do you will regret. All 'I'm sorry', 'I love you' and just show appreciation. Every time you know you could have helped out somehow, and didn't. That is the hard part when you realize it is too late." Very wise words, I think. RIP, mum❤️
👍 I wish MY Mother had had a chance to listen to Sparks today, as they developed and changed from the seventies. I had a really BAD homemade cassette tape of 'Propaganda', recorded with a lousy mic in front of a mono speaker 😂😭😂! In desperate times you do desperate things 😂. I think it was before Christmas and about Christmas gifts and I intensively wished a Sparks record (thinking of 'Indiscreet', but had 'Big Beat' and abandoned Sparks 😫😱, not Mom's fault, though.). I played that horrible tape and tried to convince her about the exellence of Sparks. She listen a short while, asked "Didn't you say they were boys?" I answered that of course they are, and she looked at me with a totally inexpressive face: "He must be a homosexual." 😂😂😂😂 I remember that so well, because I felt so offended on Russell's behalf, and had typical teenagegirl temper outburst😂😂😂. However, my Mom was never a prejudiced person, that comment was only a determination based on, of course, his high pitched voice. Unfortunately I didn't rediscover Sparks until several months after she passed🙄, and I know there are songs that she would have loved🥰

Every time I listen to this song I wonder, who this is about. About Marc Moulin, who a very close friend of Russell and Ron? Or about the husband of Catherine Ringer? Perhaps about both.
One should never say a definitely "no" about an assumption like that when we probably never will know. We don't know if anyone of them had a good eye to any of Moulin's wifes or to Catherine Ringer. But it could be just randomly or with a private friend in mind.
