It still surprises me that this is the capital of the guild, built in a god awful location because it’s built in the path of the elder dragons migration route but supposedly it’s because the location has historical value
When you think about it that might be a good thing for the guild in some ways, lots of monster research is probably based there so it would be one of the best places to research elder dragons if they regularly pass by.
@@debleb166 exactly one of the reasons why it is! The second has to do with it being built from the ruins of another civilization. But the city being in the path of elder dragons makes it perfect for research on said elder dragons!
This arrangement had more traditional folk instruments emblematic of a village or middle age feel. In particular, the egg shaker almost reminds me of a sound of someone plopping down a bale of hay, or a sack or, grain. The MH4U arrangement is way more regal in arrangement, offering classical guitars, harpsicords (i think), bells, and chimes.
To be a little lame (but honest), I think they are just flutes. Specifically, though, they do sound a little like flageolets. I’m not certain, though. At first I thought they sounded a little like bagpipes but it doesn’t quite have the same monotonous, metallic sound.
No, lol, it was called ドンドルマ in Dos lmao "Dondruma" is a literal romanization but "Dundorma" is much more accurate to how it's actually pronounced in Japanese
It's crazy the differences and similarities with the 4U version. Thank you for uploading this. It took me forever to find.
The hammers worked into the music really adds a lot.

Thanks for uploading, this is quite unique!

Banger
Hope we see dundorma again in mh6
It's very possible
Do any of y'all know what that flute-like instrument doing the melody is called?
oof not sure but i think its mirroring the hurdy gurdy making that melody raspy and silky at the same time. I love it!

It was called Dondurma in MHDos, even in the image you can see that. Is called Dundorma in MH4.
