I’m starting to think that too honestly I think Drayton might’ve been very humble, and congratulated Kieran on beating him. But the lines we get from other characters, implying how Kieran was acting and treating People that’s not a far-fetched that he probably said that to him. I love Karen.

@@TheAudball9000No, since in Spanish, it's basically Drayton saying "Oops, allow me to correct myself". Basically saying what he was, and what he is now. In English, he just dropped the mike saying "Oh yeah, your time is up"

'Wow, what the hell, man! I got it, you hold some grudge towards Kieran, but that comment was too much!'
I never felt bad about becoming a Champion in other games, even Shield and Sword didn't give me the vibe, but here I felt bad...maybe because I made his efforts be for naught
Alright, Kieran changed in a bad way, he became kinda unsufferable and I *KINDA* can understand Drayton's point of view, NOT how he treated Kieran, but I still felt bad...
I was happy when I reached the end...even if I wished the player could talk.
I love the parallels between Nemona and Keiren especially at the end when you see their champion cutscenes after defeating them.
people doesn't walk away after she loses. People are concerned when they think she's crying and run up to her, but she's actually happy that you defeated her. She's happy that you grew so strong to do so. It was like a proud mentor moment with Nemona. Nemona is also the class president, and you get the sense that she's a pretty good class president. She uplifts and encourages the people around her to get stronger. She's a really nice person who enjoys seeing everyone grow.
Keiren, on the other hand, was a bully and an absolute jerk. One of his club mates was having problems at home and couldn't get his Pokémon up to the requirement. Instead of showing empathy, Keiren kicked them out, saying they just liked being weak. If Nemona were in a similar situation, she would tell them to focus on their home situation and consider battling later. I know Nemona is crazy about battling, but I believe she has morals. When you finally bring the bully down, everyone who used to support them walks away. They don't support them anymore because you're no longer seen as the strongest person in the room.
Fun fact
Kieran has unique dialogue if you use Ogerpon during this battle. He’ll call you out for sending her out during a serious fight, as if to taunt him.

He will exclusively make his Pokémon target Ogerpon so if you know that you can maybe adopt a strategy around spiky shield
Kieran will also immediate focus to attack Ogerpon until she fainted out in the battle since he can't stand seeing her reminds him back from 1 part DLC tried to protect her. Make sure to note that when fighting against him in Champion league
Drayton is now my literal favorite character in all of Scarlet and Violet just from being so cold to Kieran in that cutscene

Chatting shit like that while he's down is a bitch move, telling him he should enjoy it instead of trying to be the best, and then adding an extra layer on top; I've seen fist fights start for less

Ex-Champion remark has got to sting but Kieran needs to lay off the fruit loops because his behaviour is like that on how a serial killer is born by stooping into madness.
Unhinged. What did he do wrong? He changed his hairstyle, earned the champion title by working tirelessly to build his team and made other students uncomfortable because of his understandably pretty intense emotional state. Peanuts compared to the atrocious backstabbing he received in part 1 by both his sibling and a new friend he trusted and looked up to.

@@MisterRegrettiin gen 7 and 8, when Incineroar uses Darkest Lariat, it does a T-pose. Incineroar doesn’t do that anymore in gen 9
They kinda undid the animation the moment Darkest Lariat no linger became exclusive to Incineroar
It’s cause it’s not Incineroar’s signature move anymore

When I first started this dlc, I decided to use a LV. 70-80 team to make it not so easy (had an easy time in Teal Mask). This was quickly changed during the first elite 4 battle, and I brought out my regular LV. 100s, this dlc definitely had some challenge to it
i lost to lots of regular trainers in the 2nd part

I didn’t use Ogerpon. I battled Kieran the way Arceus intended, sportsmanlike. No tricks, no weapons, skill against skill alone.
Arceus isn't really all that good though. He has been known to be quite destructive, you know?

Hard disagree. Kierans first scene this dlc was him giving someone the boot cause they're having problems at home and couldn't stay competitive. It doesn't get too much worse than that imo without being full blown evil. Drayton could be a little cold, imo. It's pretty deserved @@supersonic2175

Anyone else have more trouble fighting any of the elite four members than Kieran? Dude was a cakewalk, talking about how he got stronger 😂.
Competitive-wise, his team is fundamentally stronger than most npc teams in the series, even most champions, ...... *But YEAH.* This was too easy, given what it was supposed to be. Even Lacey gave me a harder time by comparison.
*They should've just said "fuck it" and made him level 100.* That alone, combined with his strats, *WOULD* have made this battle worth it. A team like that at Level 100 WOULD have made this probably the most difficult battle in the series. But nope, Game Freak is too scared to go that route. Don't know why though. This whole DLC proves they get that older people like these games.
The one that was harder than Kieran for me was Amarys because, you know, Steel types

lacey was the only one I struggled with this DLC though I think I got lucky with drayton because I froze his dragonite

He got extremely jelaous of MC, as they:
- managed to beat him every time they fought against him
- have had 'befriended' his sister in a span of a few days, having her go from "ew, outsider" to "hello, bestie~" (and possibly having her have a crush on them)
- hid the truth about Ogerpon's story which was told by his grandpa, which made Kieran bitter
- were chosen by Ogerpon as her new friend/partner, despite Kieran being sorta obsessed with her, and him wishing to befriend her, even going out of his way to spread the truth about Ogerpon and "Loyal" Three.
In retrospection, I kinda get why he would snap. Still, I personally believe he went a bit too far with his attitude/behavior.

His sister treated him awfully and tbh I don’t think you just cruelly reminding him on how he just lost to me is doing him any favours for his current attitude

I never said Kieran was right for being a dick. But there is a big difference between admonishing someone for being a dick and straight up trash talking somebody. Drayton made things 100% worse by doing what he did.

I kind of find it hilarious that Drayton seems SURPRISED that Kieran doesn't want to take his advice, despite being a moron here who doesn't have basic empathy. He literally tried "roasting" someone in the middle of a breakdown. Like yeah buddy, nobody wants to listen to someone like that when they're already in a shaky place mentally, _especially_ not a kid who's pretty obviously got some underlying things going on that aren't being properly addressed by anybody. I would say I find it hard to believe anybody can be that stupid about talking to somebody in this situation, if I didn't see it so much in fandoms whenever there's any characters who are neurodivergent-coded or emotionally unstable in some way.
