To auto-chop do this: Take your sample as you normally would, but... make sure to select and empty group this time (D for example. Now, push Shift+Chop to enter the chop menu, and now press and hold the D group button and you'll see a number (12 is the highest) and it will chop the sample on the whole 12 pads, or you could use the + or - buttons to select how many samples you want. Hope that helps.
👏Thanks for the post. Kool vibey messin around jam. Nice timing & like the vocal sample chop👌like myself still on the workflow curve but its great fun. 🎯 🎶🎵👋
It’s a love hate relationship with this thing for me . I sometimes love it for reasons other than its size and portability. I often hate it because of its instructions and the lack of time to watch enough videos to know how to fully use this thing. I still think it’s for kids. It should have been under every hip hop kids Christmas tree round the holiday season .
Nice work fam! I like how that beat turned out bro. That sample flip was fire. I got some records from the shoppe this past weekend and I've found a sample I'm about to flip tonight after work. Keep the dope videos coming bro! Peace!
So far the sweetest shit I’ve heard done with this thing is by a Japanese dude that had a bunch of old video game samples from various Nintendo games and he made beats out of em on the ko2
The 12 steps vs 16 on the OG KO is a big mis-step as far as I'm concerned. Such a weird decision - I have my fingers crossed we can use the 4 Group buttons as pads for samples in a future firmware update
I do t own this yet but def next purchase. Besides the time this is more powerful than an mpc2kxl which I still use to this day along w sp303. Def hard to adjust to 12 pads as opposed to 16 pads lol 😂 salute man dope sample
@@qmakesbeatz just turn of the Flight to Dubai album and Flight now boarding is absolutely fire!!!! I love how textured the drums are. You think you could make a video showing your workflow for making stuff like that?
quick question for fader knob. It works fine, but it does seem a bit wobbly as far as the actual knob being able to move horizontally, way looser than the other knobs present. Anyone have that? or is it supposed to have crazy give? or is yours stiff and doesn't move at all?
This looks like a nice device, but I just don't see the point of me having this. I have an app Koala sampler, it goes in my pocket, I make tracks on the tube. Anywhere. TE make nice looking device, but I keep thinking its not suited for a legit tracks on for sketching

Very nice flow! Appreciate the video and words
That sample goes crazy.
Love the showing the errors. best part of the process. A real one Q
Yessir, I like to show the real process. There's enough folks showing the pretty, cleaned up version.

Preciate it. Them 12 pads been tearin me up.😂
Beat was a nice groove
Nice 👌🏾
Hold Sample+Tempo before sampling to auto syc bpm
Ok, all very nice, but are you going to make a song or not???
Whatcha mean?
Do you have a Spotify or somewhere where your beats are posted?
Yessir, just search for "QTAL". My latest project is "As An Aside" it has more bouncy beats. "Flight to Dubai" is more traditional boom bap.

Just checked mine and it is pretty wobbly side to side.
@@qmakesbeatz thanks for the reply. I love mine, I just though I damaged it with how wobbly it is, thankfully it works perfect

Yeah, it's tough to justify outside of fun and looks especially if you have alternatives with more functionality.
One thing i know, is that you have the skills to make awesome beats. Regardless of the tool that is in front of you.
Keep repping bro
I appreciate that!@@TheIsolatedGamerz
