This is the best video of how to knit a bottom-up sweater that I have found. I like the fact that you also show what you did to untwist stitches, or what to do when your yarn splits. Thank you.
I really struggled with binding off, even more when I needed to bind off loosely. So I learned a trick - using a larger size needle on the right side when binding off. No more problems!
Thank you so much for this. Easy to follow and great to see it in real time. In progress with my first ever sweater. This helps a great deal. Thank you.
Am a beginner knitter. Thank u for your vid. 💖 It’s the kind of knitting sweater that I was looking for. However, I wish u cud hav show a more constructive visual showing where is where of the construction. I am lost from armpit construction onwards.😬😅😫 Also, it wud be good too to list down all the sizes cast on etc so that we don’t have to keep asking u for the numbers for different sizes. But overall thank you again. Much appreciated.💖
Bottom up sweater is the hardest to make, it never fits correctly but top down is much easier and you know at the beginning if you do it right and may try on you. I tried bottom up knitting total failure for the first time now doing top down raglan it goes perfect I'm at the waist level probably will be a success
Great easy pattern, thank you for sharing. I would love to see you do a tutorial of this pattern with some cable designs in it. It would be greatly appreciated and I would be anxious to start it. Thanks 🧶😊
Hi Nj how are you doing today I am doing fine today that's a very beautiful color and very beautiful work on your sweater thank you for sharing with every body how are you stay safe 💙⚘🌹
At 8:27 "neck shaping": I would have loved if u talked us through it. I'm stuck. I dont understand if u purl all 40 st, or if u just purl 20 st. I1ve asked several of my frinds who knitts, and they dont seem too understand either. *please help*
First knit the left shoulder (20sts) after you finish bind off cut yarn, then knit the right shoulder(20sts), it's not possible to knit the all 40 sts😆
when the stitches reaches 60, you said knit all for 8 rows, how about the purling on the other side? or did you mean knit 8 rows and purl 8 rows too in the other side?
Absolutely wonderful and easy to follow video! Be blessed for sharing, this is my go to Sweater Knitting video. Had to subscribe I don’t want to miss any other training
I just have a question. For the right shoulder, when you bind off one at the end of the row and turn, how exactly do you do that? I see you slip the first stitch but then I’m lost from there.
I have a question....Neck border shaping u say to pick up 78 STS. However I calculate it comes to 72 ((20 + 8 +8 )×2)and if I add Kitchener st it works out to 74. How 78? Similarly how it is 88 for arm hole?
To do this you need to make a 12*12 cm swatch with the yarn and needles you want to use. If you would like to knit a pattern, the stitch test must be done with the pattern. Count the stitches to 10 cm. Number of stitches * Your measurements: 10 gives you your stitch cast on. Upper chest measurement +10 cm is a good guideline that you can use.
I have a q. If the ribbing is K2 P2 , I think we would end up with K2, I mean the 179th and 180th stitches is knit and so we begin with our next round which is K2 so we will have 4 knits. the 179th and 180th and the 1st and 2nd. isn't it? In my own view I think we should end with P2 then start the next round by K2 and in this way its balance. Sorry
First my appreciations for great video. I just want to know what does size S mean? for how many year old and what is the circumference of the bottom line ? As well as the neck round size what is the length?

i have big problems with the project curling. does somebody have a solution for that?
Thanks :)
Thanks!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.🙂
Thank you so much!!!
Why are all patterns written for S. I would like one for large.
Do you have a tutorial for this pattern, but in adult men's size L, please?
Thanks for a great tutorial. l'm very new in knittimg. My size is medium. How can l do the neckline? thanks!
thanks!
hiii... can i know why we need to change to smaller needle when making sleeves?
Hello, awesome video!
I want to do it, for 220 stiches how many to bind off for arm shape? And how many stiches to bind off for neckline?
Nice work
I just have a question. For the right shoulder, when you bind off one at the end of the row and turn, how exactly do you do that? I see you slip the first stitch but then I’m lost from there.
For the 1st sts you can knit or slip that's up to you...
Hey! Where can i find the different sizes they gave??
Do you recommend blocking?

Hi can we include bind off's 10 last stitch as stitch or knit 80 stitch separately
Thank you so much
HI your video`s are really nice, I see your size is small, what about the other sizes what will the other cast on`s be
Hope to hear from you
Medium c.o 96-100
Large- c.o 110-115.
@@Ngjnw Thank you but no I`m a bit confused the 96-100 is that the c.o st o choose from, then does the rest of the patt sts do they remain the same
No it's not same.
@@NgjnwWill you please the rest, as I would like to knit it
For medium c.o-100
Neck shaping- k24, b.o- 22, k24 and the rest are same.
Kindly put the abbreviated knitting, ie what's R and ssk??
R- row
ssk- slip slip knit
Genious!❤
l mean how many pick up stitches in neckline in medium size? thanks!
I don’t quite see how you switched to using a 3rd needle for the cuff after you use it for some of the stitches in the first row of the cuff.
Sorry what size needle are you using please
Hi, May l know how many pick up stitches to make in a medium size? thanks!
Forvmedium?
I’m still a beginner. May i know your finished sweater bust circumference?
I am unable to figure out the chest size
Where can I get instructions for a bigger size plz ?
To do this you need to make a 12*12 cm swatch with the yarn and needles you want to use. If you would like to knit a pattern, the stitch test must be done with the pattern. Count the stitches to 10 cm. Number of stitches * Your measurements: 10 gives you your stitch cast on. Upper chest measurement +10 cm is a good guideline that you can use.

video. Are both blue pullovers same shown in the cover picture, or are they 2 different pullovers knitted the same way?
It's the same
@@Ngjnw thank you
Hi,if i want make m or L size so how many sts from starting, thank you 😊
For large you can cast on 115-120
@@Ngjnw OK, thank you 😊👌👍
what length of circular needles you use in the sleeves? thanks!
😳😳😍😍😍😍😍😍😍wow
How do you knit using this pattern for a large size?
For large you can cast on 115-120 sts
What length cable is it?
27inch.
Hi did u join the round at the start? Or you just cast on and do the rib pattern
I have Knitted in round.
Sorry
@@Ngjnw yes you are right I found my wrong stitches when I did the nd row
The number of sts should be divisible by 4 and not 2 so that u don't get 4 knits anywhere...
what is your you tube channel? l can not find the NGVID.
What size is this
How long circulars???
How long are the needles?
27inch
Hi, if I needed a bigger size, how could I calculate it to follow your video? I would really like to knit a sweater like this, thank you!
@@Ngjnw Thank you!! And the binding off for arms and neck is still the same?
@@Ngjnw How much would it be for a 115 sts sweater??
@@Ngjnw AHHH, you're the best!!! I'll start right now. Thank you so much
@@Ngjnw for size S cast on is 180. How come for large size cast on is 110-115 sets? 🤔
@@Ngjnw aah… I see. Thk u🙏
Do you have a written pattern
Check description box.
How many metres of yarn does this need?
@@Ngjnw Thank you!!!!
Larger size
What dress size is a S?
Small.
Is the 9 inches after the initial 3 inches or Does it include it as a total of length
No it is not total of length knit it 9 inch after the ribbing part.
@@Ngjnw thank you 🙏🙏🙏 I'm on the last inch now haha. Maybe I should get some sleep lol.
circular needle 4.00mm, how long in cm?
74cm
Whatsoever needle are you using
It's a circular needle, 29inch long.
Doesn't answer queries.
First my appreciations for great video. I just want to know what does size S mean? for how many year old and what is the circumference of the bottom line ? As well as the neck round size what is the length?
S- small size for adult.
Bottom- 80cm
Neck- 46cm
Thank you Maam
Hi! What are the finished dimensions for the small size?? Love the video so much
Body length - 20inch
Sleeve length - 21inch
Bust- 38inch
Uhm 78?? No That Will make 4 knit stitches beside eachother
I did not understand the abbreviations you could speak at the important points rather than showing the knitting
What is your facebook account?
thanks!
Why add music to a video? It's VERY distracting.
does this work for cabling? and in a larger size?
Yes
