      +charmed1234567819 [not referring to you] to the raf[ben bannan] losers, he's gone ha ha ha . and the argument about profits up actually came from dior perfume/shoes etc but clothes sales drops & supposedly burned by management. that's why they didnt renew his contract in may..

    Why oh why can I never find any of those lovely french knickers in the stores or online? They look super on less than stick thin figures and the lace is sheer delight. Come on manufacturers! make them to match your bras and as an option for the larger lady who doesn't want skimpy keks!!!!!

    the second real heir to dior, the first was ysl. the clothes are ravishing, imagine each piece worn to tone down the effect from the runway; as a historian galiano brought in the zeitgeist, then his star burned in one swoop. he must come back, but if he doesnt his genius is secure in history

      J. Barbosa Yves Saint Laurent was the head designer at Dior , when Cristian Dior passed away , for about two years he was in charge , and went on to become the most significant designer , talented , and influential couturier of the 20 century.
      And like Chanel and Dior , YSL created a style , not fashion, style.

      alexandreetsasha totally agree, YSL was a visionary that made groundbreaking contributions to the fashion world.

    i think dior management championed him, then failed him. its as much their failure.

    I think people have really started to romanticise Galliano's time at Dior and this nostalgia has caused some people to down play what Raf is doing for the house. I see Galliano's later work for the house as quite heavy and far from something I imagine a modern woman in. Whether Raf's Dior resonates with you or not, there is no denying the figures. Since he has taken creative direction profits have increased favourably. I doubt anyone commenting on this is in the position to actually purchase any of the clothing being presented, luckily the people that are in that privileged position don't agree with the rest of you.

      @Sulbactam 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      its not even about who has purchased, its about the public's appreciation. Dior for me is more than any commercial brand, it is already an art, an institution of its highest pedestal. i dont like raf for dior because he's not grand neither galliano because he is sometimes over the top. they should hire someone with taste of modern, artistic and with control or balance

      +Ben Bannan I kinda agree. Overlooking Galliano past work, I feel he is stuck in his design. Everything feel outdated and predictable. From the designs to the fabrics, everything feel vintage. Like Anna Sui but for rich 60 years old. The only recent that feel fresh from Galliano for Dior is Spring/Summer 2006.

    • @rodval2322
      @rodval2322 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ben Bannan THERE ISN'T A MORE STUPID ARGUMENT THAN "YOU PROBABLY CAN'T AFFORD THIS" so what? the house uploads pictures and videos from their show for normal people like you and me can see and give an opinion, the rich people who can afford Dior or any high fashion brand are there in person seeing the show so of course the video is not directed to them.
