Our paths are so remarkably similar yet vastly different. I was raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico, where I completed my undergraduate and medical degrees, and moved on for an additional year of fellowship year at New York University, and this is where I met the love of my life, also from Salinas, Puerto Rico. Call it serendipity if you will.
I have no idea how we landed on your channel or whether our children were watching following you while we were working, but you caught our attention. We wish you happinness and prosperity as you grow your family in Puerto Rico. May the good Lord keep you safe and thriving.

So great to see all the beautiful plants and greens growing. Where did she find the collard greens. I love them put don’t how to find them. How long does she let them grow before cutting them and what type of collard greens did she buy? Amazing footage. Life yes here sometimes is challenging I live in NYC /NJ for 60 and I miss it at times but the isla is beautiful the weather is great and the good out weighs the life differences. Thank you for sharing.

I can totally relate to the guy who is counselor/teacher. I am actually from Utuado so when he mentioned Utuado, that was pretty awesome. Seems like even though he is making less over there he can still have a good quality of life, such as owning a home, friends family, and good healthy food. My uncle thought in Utuado as a teacher and has a big beautiful house on his income.

Blessings and a speedy recovery! My husband and I have been following your story because ours is somewhat similar / we bought a land in PR almost at the same time you guys did, we moved from the DFW to Cidra, PR on Christmas. We are building our house and costs are outrageous but we are loving the country and how God blesses us with the land He provided to us. I pray He guides you guys, open the doors needed and make the path for what He has in place for you and your beautiful family! Blessings!! Éxito y bendiciones!!

I love all of your videos. We have a condo in Isla Verde, my dream/desire/goal is to have my own land and live off the grid, but as a single woman its been tough. Your last statement at the end of your video about having community hit home for me. I don’t have much family in PR, so would really need friends which has been very very very very difficult. After 8 years of going back and forth i still only know my 2 senior neighbors. I’ve volunteered on farms done group activities etc but no real networks. The other difficult part is find suitable land from legit realtors. Keep sharing, its all so important for me and helping me move closer to my purpose.

I was all about moving back to PR until I went on vacation last summer. I didn’t care for the loud radios and all the run down houses. I’d probably have to wait till my son goes to college 10 years from now to reconsider since he’s in a good school system and I don’t want to screw that up.

You guys made us laugh alot. Thank you for the awesome update. Jimmy tell all my ANTILLIAN friends Hola next time you guys see them. Love all the detail and the laughter on the high protein details of the fruits. Also the solar details with Aimee and her husband. Pana also if you roast it in bon fire first then peel cut slice it is good some salt. Funny how Aimee still throws the kisses to her love the same with the same love & intensity to her 💖 as when they were dating. The compost with all the helpers in it was to die for but using all the resources even a fridge tires recycle 👏👏. Nice to see your family and all of these friends all the blessings. Awesome thank you 🇵🇷 is amazing God has blessed that 🏝

    Hello Friend,
I wanted to know how expensive it is to build in PR? We have land over there but we aren't sure how expensive to build, permits, and all other costs related to building. We are planning the move from Texas as well. Appreciate any info/advice you could give us!

Thx for sharing. Prices have doubled due to inflation. You also have to context your are on permits. Our situation has been different since our builder is retired family friend who lives near our land. Feel free to email me for more information jelaark@gmail.com

I just want to say Puerto Rico is no worse than any estate outside of Puerto Rico United States or any part of the world is bad every where and compared to Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico is much better that's my own opinion I wach news everyday from different part of the world and if you compare Puerto Rico is a Haven and I say that because I have neither seen nor heard in the history of Puerto a shooting I'm a school or mall or church and I see that in all must every where in the word is bad like everywhere But. no is the worst
