I actually like and relate to Wardi's solo casting. It seems really chill, mindful, and relaxed to me with appropriately timed hype. It reminds me of Rotterdam. The only time I find myself annoyed with a caster is when they have constant neuroticism/insecurity/anxiety pervading their casting.
Wardi said Maru struggles to defend early aggression, but the games referenced were both against Jin Air team mates. Maru has great defense. SOS and Trap have been playing Maru a long time and it shows, they know a couple of vulnerabilities Maru hasn't resolved. Maru is getting Team Killed, he's not failing to defend. But with that being said, he could be scouting more.
Yeah apparently Wardi forgot about the beginning of LoTV where Maru was the only Terran barely scraping through the early game by defending non-stop overpowered Adept aggression. He can definitely survive and is one of the hardest Terrans to kill, along with TY, when they want to prolong the game.
The Series referenced was maru going for proxxies 4 times in a row against SoS and being shut down every time... so no early aggression there from his enemy -.- only from himself.
@@iunary Yep, I think the proxy play really suited Maru's style, but S0S had his number because they were teammates. Wish he had prepared something special for that matchup so he could have faced Serral... It seems like he's switching to some more cheesy builds lately (early BC's for example) along with his staple two base aggression and infinite push macro play. In my opinion Maru has the highest skill of any player in raw game-play ability, but he seems to not have the patience for mastering the slower strategic game 'a la TY.

Are you high? did you see those games? where MARU was the one who did proxxy aggression almost EVERY game and SoS defended it so well that maru just died? stop talking bollocks plx about that series -.- maru lost that through PURE Arrogance thinking he could easily proxx murder SoS and failing....
