Just a tip for those using a keyboard protector, if you’re going to use it, make sure to remove it before closing the laptop, because the oil from your fingers will get all over your screen (coming from personal experience 😭). It’s really just to be comfortable eating while using the Mac so it doesn’t get in between the keys ❤

about the keyboard cover, Apple actually advises not to use them because when you close the macbook the keyboard cover can actually damage the retina screen which can be damaged easily !
you could use them then take them off the keyboard and close

Its a myth it wont damage ypur screen though it may help with thermal issues, if your video editing take it off as keyboard are part of ventilation all other light task like word processing you can leave it on

Hi i know its quiet late but don't use camera cover it puts pressure on your screen and might damage it.
2) don't use tempered glass for mac as it damage the retina screen.
3) and i also don't recommend using trackpad protection.
all this made my 900 dollar mac go to trash 🥲
Is it ok to use a keyboard cover cuz There is lot of dust getting inside of the keyboard.

2- *desinfects the package*
3- *grab the package again with the hand that touched before on it*
4- *opens the package and touch all the stuff inside with the hand that touched the product before the disinfection*

Apple advises not to use or put any accessories in between the screen and keyboard. e.g camera cover, screen protector ang keyboard cover (though, you can use keyboard cover while using the MBA but remove it when you close ur laptop).
i removed them a week later after finding out cause i saw minimal scratches on my mac 😔

Girl no, you gotta remove the camera cover as it can break the screen and have a huge impact regarding its features that detect screen movements ( or something like that) instead try to use a sticky note

hi! please dont use the trackpad protector, keyboard cover (remove it when the laptop is closed) and webcam cover (better to just use washi tape) bc anything that u put in between your laptop might damage your screen’s display.

@@athifahp145 Hi, here’s an official notice from apple that says not to put anything in between the laptop which might help you -> support.apple.com/en-ph/HT203671 macbooks dont have space or have very little space in between so if it doesnt close right, it might damage your screen.

I getting the same Mac and i did want stickers but i did not want them on my Mac but putting them under the case is so Smart
anyways, I've seen tons of people's screen break because of the camera cover so maybe don't use that. If you want to exterior changes it should just be to the outside. The plastic bottom cover might overheat the computer so be aware of that. Also, the silicone protector for the charger is horrible, it will overheat, the actual charging box is practically indestructable. If you need anything buy a sleeve that is shock and water proof (if its ugly buy a cute one to put the first inside) and something to protect the wires from getting bend and breaking.
Don’t put a webcam cover, keyboard cover, or screen protector on your MBA. It will break the screen!
do you know why they say that a keyboard cover will break the screen? ive had my MacBook since 2018 and I've always used a keyboard cover and mine is just fine. just curious.
@@kelliecraft9176 it will not break it literally but its retina display quality. its only advisable when u are maybe eating something and u don't wanna get it all over ur keyboard.

@@hazelrose827 They do damage your laptop. MacBooks are too thin to put any accessories on the screen or keyboard. I had a keyboard cover on my previous MacBook Pro for like 3 years and my laptop severely overheated. The display developed orange spots of discoloration and the battery depleted. All these accessories are unnecessary and ruin MacBooks. It doesn’t make sense to put a bunch of cheap plastic on an expensive laptop.

Sadly you didn't buy the M1 one (the fn key tells the difference, the M1 has a globe icon). The M1 chip runs intel apps like native (however some don't work, like Photoshop. Office 2019 works nicely), it's strong, and it's always cool for light tasks

I heard a lot about how webcam covers and keyboard covers can damage your screen when you close the macbook, so unless you have those i think you will be okay without one!
@@KIMIMUSIC nah, keyboard covers are fine. It’s a thin piece of silicone that rests over your keyboard. It’s not gonna do much. I’ve had several keyboard covers over the past year and my MacBook still works fine

Umm i heard somewhere that using hard case damaged ur laptop screen hange. It’s become loose or smth, just like how camcover can also damage ur screen. Some people prefers using sleeve

By the way, the "keyboard cover can cause overheating of your laptop" thing is a myth and *completely false* too. A keyboard cover is just a flimsy super-thin sheet of silicone, your laptop won't even notice if you have it on....and it will be your saving grace should you accidentally spill food crumbs or, worse, liquid on the laptop.

some agreed, and some disagreed, but for me, i only use my keyboard if i eat or drink to avoid getting crumbs inside of my keyboard
From what I heard... It is very convenient if you drink coffee or any beverage when you work but remove it as soon as you shut down laptop

hello! macs are essential for school; if you’re planning to buy one, make sure the intel’s i5 cause some people said lower intel couldn’t handle numerous tabs. I recommend it! I haven’t experienced lagging at all; I hope this helps you

sadly no :( the camera is okay! it doesn’t look good on photo booth, but in some apps like zoom, discord, etc. it’s clear

Hello, I just bought the same protection for the outside of macbook and was wondering if it served you well? I wanted to protect my macbook from potential scratches, but once I put it on, I'm worried it would damage laptop's hinge mechanism since I noticed it now doesn't close all the way. Also, how does it look after a while? Does it change in color or does it make your macbook heat up more easily?

so far, it has not damaged my mac, but tiktok told me to remove them to avoid future scratches :/
i also have the same case and its absolutely fine just remember to clean the case and mac before putting it on, the case still looks brand new after 6 months and has saved my mac a couple of times from getting big scratches.
