Gr8 idea in using one of the worlds sharpest knives and only a few bucks , no stropping just chuck another blade in or turn it around .Flipping lethal tho watch ur digits making sure where the blades gonna end up . now you made me want to get my utility knife out again , I have had good luck with that as well as my modified fish fileting knife , that's a lot of fun to use too ... that's besides all the expensive knives lol . sometimes keeping it simple is the best .

Just about to start whittling and caught your tutorial. Firstly, I am impressed by your scar-free left hand! And that you are using a Stanley knife. i have been concerned about spending a lot of money on specialist knives whilst starting out in case o don't carry on with it. It's obvious that you don't need them to do a good carving. Thanks.

Great tutorial!! I have many fixed blade carving knives, but my favorite carving knife is a 3 blade pocket knife I’ve reshaped the blades on to suit myself. Keep on keeping on!!

The fixed blade utility knives may not be all that sexy but they really are the very best. Excellent presentation!
