Maybe they don't own this piece. Sometimes composers tend to own pieces of music even though part of the trainer battle theme is in this.

Honestly this theme should have been synonymous with Mewtwo going forward in the series alongside Red’s theme in Stadium 2
This is a beautiful and brilliant remix of this theme. Easily one of the best remixes I have ever heard for this theme, and made me feel happy inside.
