Relevant actual message- about being obsessed with mistakes of other people.. instead to concentrate on own faults: Awareness of own Spiritual arrogance ! ..and the mindset which is missing often whereas the vast majority of the ummah is upon good and guidance!
Difference between corruption of scholars, who are trusted with deen! vs. layman who have no knowledge.

When it comes from family, the fault finding...it's the worse. Yet they're accepting of others faults outside of the home. Psychological abuse. Hilarious when they mellow out with age and once they've had kids as though they've been angelic all their lives. Then they forget the abusive and rude remarks said. Dr Yasir Qadhi I do ask this honestly. Please look at these two verses from Surah 8
Sura 8:63 وَأَلَّفَ بَيۡنَ قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ لَوۡ أَنفَقۡتَ مَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا مَّآ أَلَّفۡتَ بَيۡنَ قُلُوبِهِمۡ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٞ
which means " And He has united their hearts even if you spent whatever is in the earth altogether you could not unite their hearts but Allah has united them, surely He is mighty, wise"
Sura 8:64 يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ حَسۡبُكَ ٱللَّهُ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
which means " Ya Nabiy, sufficient for you is Allah and those who follow you from among the believers"
Dr Yasir Qadhi, Allah is saying that he has united the hearts of the believers who were with the Rasul. This would mean the sahaba, the wives of the Rasul, etc. Even if the Rasul had spent all the wealth in the world he could not have united the hearts of the believers but Allah has done so. Sadakallaah. More so the wives of the prophet who are given the honour as ummul mu'mineen or mother of the believers.
Yet these stories that you read in the video above require us to believe that the moment the Rasul died Allah's guarantee that He had united (past tense) the hearts of the sahaba and the ummul mu'mineen just went out the window.
In no time at all the sahaba and the ummul mu'mineen started fighting and killing each other. The Battle of the Camel, the Battle of Siffin, Karbala etc. Aisha, Talha, Zubayr, Saidina Ali, Muawiyyah all just started brawling and mauling each other.
The Quran says one thing and these fancy stories say the exact opposite.
To me all those stories about the Battle of the Camel, Battle of Siffin, Karbala etc are all fake.
Dear brother, in the American invasions of Iraq despite all their weapons the Americans could not prevent even one Iraqi from fetching water from the Euphrates or Tigris rivers, which run for thousands of kilometers. Yet we are told to believe that in the Battle of Siffin the few hundred soldiers and cavalry of Muawiyyah could prevent the few hundred soldiers of Ali from getting water from the same mighty Euphrates river? These are really fake stories.
Can someone please send the reference for hadith mentioning that Allah would focus on the faults of the person who focusses on the faults of his brother?
عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ صَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمِنْبَرَ فَنَادَى بِصَوْتٍ رَفِيعٍ فَقَالَ " يَا مَعْشَرَ مَنْ قَدْ أَسْلَمَ بِلِسَانِهِ وَلَمْ يُفْضِ الإِيمَانُ إِلَى قَلْبِهِ لاَ تُؤْذُوا الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَلاَ تُعَيِّرُوهُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُوا عَوْرَاتِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ تَتَبَّعَ عَوْرَةَ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ تَتَبَّعَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ وَمَنْ تَتَبَّعَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ يَفْضَحْهُ وَلَوْ فِي جَوْفِ رَحْلِهِ " قَالَ وَنَظَرَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَوْمًا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ أَوْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ مَا أَعْظَمَكِ وَأَعْظَمَ حُرْمَتَكِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْكِ .
Nafi' narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) ascended the Minbar and called out with a raised voice: ’O you who accepted Islam with his tongue, while faith has not reached his heart! Do not harm the Muslims, nor revile them, nor spy on them to expose their secrets. For indeed whoever tries to expose his Muslims brother’s secrets, Allah exposes his secrets wide open, even if he were in the depth of his house.’” He (Nafl’) said: ‘ One day Ibn ‘Umar looked at the House- or - the Ka’bah and said: ‘What is it that is more honored than you, and whose honor is more sacred than yours! And the believer’s honor is more sacred to Allah than yours.’”

The Hijrah Mystery
Muhammad and Abu Bakr left the city and took shelter in a cave atop the Thawr mountain south of Mecca before continuing their journey to elude the Quraysh party pursuing them led by Suraqa bin Malik. They stayed in the cave for three days before resuming their journey. During the journey, whenever Suraqa neared Muhammad and Abu Bakr, Suraqa's horse stumbled until he finally gave up on the desire of capturing Muhammad.[34] Muhammad and Abu Bakr turned to the Red Sea, following the coastline up to Medina, arriving at Quba'. He stopped at Quba' and established a mosque there. He waited there for fourteen days for Ali and his family to join him. Thereafter he continued to Medina, participated in their first Friday prayer on the way.
Mystery: Despite building the first mosque the Masjid Al Quba and staying there for 14 days Muhammad did not pray Friday prayers there. The first Friday prayer was held 14 days later at the Masjid Al Jumaa.
So the first mosque in Islam ie Masjid Al Quba did not have Friday prayers for at least two weeks.
More Hijrah Mysteries
The Jew could not help shouting at the top of his voice, “O Arabs! Here is your great man whom you have been waiting for!” So all the Muslims rushed to pick up their weapons and went to meet the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) on the lava field. The Prophet turned to the right and alighted in the land of Banu Amr ibn Awf. This was on a Monday the 12th of Rabi` Al-Awwal.
So the prophet arrived in Medinah on 12 Rabbiul Awwal.
But according to the Islamic calendar Rabbiul Awwal is the 3rd month and Muharram is the 1st month.
Islamic Months:
Muharram
Safar
Rabi al-Awwal
Rabi al-Thani
Jumada al-Awwal
Jumada al-Thani
Rajab
Shaban
Ramadan
Shawwal
Dhu al-Qadah
Dhu al-Hijjah (month of Hajj)
So how can the prophet arrive in the third month (R Awwal) which then magically becomes the 1st month Muharram?
And then R Awwal becomes the 3rd month in the Islamic calendar?
If you had a basic knowledge of Islamic history, you would have known that the hijri calendar was established by Ameerul Mu'mineen Umar ibn al Khattab (radiyallahu anhu). Muharram was chosen to be the first month because that was the time when hujjaj returned, a new beginning.

Your "basic knowledge of Islamic history" comes from the hadith writings like Sahih Bukhari and the Seerah by Ibn Ishak. These books were written hundreds of years after the death of Umar al Khattab. Surely by that time Bukhari, Ibn Ishak etc knew the Hijri calendar.
Yet they can say that the prophet arrived in Medina on Monday, 12th Rabbiul Awwal. How did they make such a mistake?
Because as you say Umar al Khattab had already decided that Muharram was the first month and Rabbiul Awwal was the THIRD month of the Hijri calendar. So why did Bukhari (200 years later) or Ibn Ishak (100 years later) write that the prophet arrived in Medina on 12th Rabbiul Awwal (the 3rd month) and then that event magically became the 1st of Muharram ?? This is very confusing.
Can you also explain the mystery about why there was no Friday prayer FOR ONE YEAR IN MECCA after isra-miraj? Or why there was no Friday prayer in Masjid Quba, the first masjid in Islam (and built by the prophet's own hands) although the Prophet stayed in Quba for TWO weeks? Instead the first Friday prayer in the history of Islam was held in another masjid known as the masjid Jumaa. Thank you.

So what advice do you have towards vulnerable women who face abuse continuously and have turned to various mosques and imams trying to stop the abuse, but were deterred, ignored and told to just put trust in Allah. Should these women continue to suffer in silence while this abuse is causing disruption in their lives!
1) Form a collective of similar women. Read the memoirs of Zainab al Ghazali. Fortify yourselves.
2) Disruption? Disruption to what? This dunya isn't jannah. Allah tests different people in different ways.
If you are the one facing this test which seems difficult to you, do what you can. If you know somebody else who is in this situation, once again, do what you can.
3) There is a saying that is attributed to Imam Shafi'i if I remember correctly that I came across. He says: "There is a verse in the Quran that is terrifying to the oppressor and a hope to the oppressed. It is the verse "Verily your Rabb does not forget" ". I don't know the ayah number or the surah of this ayah and I may have made mistakes while quoting from memory but I still wanted to say this to you. May Allah grant sabr and steadfastness to all Muslim sisters in all parts of the world.
What’s ironic is that he says you shouldn’t be thinking about someone else but almost everyone here is aware that this khutba is a reaction to a certain someone. I’m not taking sides but it just seems obvious what this is all about. Hopefully I’m wrong

Abdullah bin Amr narrates the Prophet (saw) said: “Most of the hypocrites of my Ummah will be its Qurra’ (i.e. evil scholars).” (Musnad Ahmad)

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever among you sees evil, let him change it with his hand. If he cannot do so, then with his tongue. If he cannot do so, then with his heart, which is the weakest level of faith.”

This khutbah is about the delusion of seeing the evil in others while being blind to the evil in yourself. May Allah protect our good deeds and erase our sins.

It’s ironic you are doing the same thing by calling out people who you don’t agree with and use the Quran and Sunnah to prove your point. This has become more drama than our desi family dramas. How can an Imaam challenge another Muslim brother saying “if you are a man come see me face to face” really? Questioning someone’s manhood? And some how none of the popular Ulama found that offensive or derogatory? I can go on and on, I was at a Jumuah Khutbah where this Imaam brings up Kiki in the Khutbah and that is okay? I am not saying everything the other party did was very respectful, we have to continuously keep ourselves in check before we start talking about others. Allah exposes people and we become a joke to the non muslims. And the Shaytan is happy.
How many hours of your day did you spend criticizing yourself. This should show where your priorities are

But I am telling you that I was in the Khutbah when Suhaib brought up “Kiki” in his Khutbah in NYU cultural center. And now I find out more and more of him promoting hip hop and liberalism and none of the mainstream Ulama felt the need to give him Naseeha. But somehow the mainstream duath in US feel the need to give a Khutbah against Daniel Haqiqatjou? They called DH a liar when he called out Omar Suleiman for participating in the pagan ritual and when the video came out everyone of them became silent!?

Does Allah and his Messenger (saw) teach us to cover up the faults of our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters as much as possible? Does Allah and his Messenger (saw) teach us that whoever covers up the fault of his brother, Allah will cover up his fault on the day of judgement? Does Allah and his Messenger (saw) teach us that whoever goes after the faults of his Muslim brother and humiliates him, Allah will go after his faults and humiliate him?
If your answer is Yes, I rest my case. If your answer is No, you need to learn your deen.
None of us think of our scholars as infallible. They are the inheritors of the prophets as Rasulullah (saw) described. Some of them are the awliya of Allah. Remember the following hadith:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Verily Allah ta’ala has said: ‘Whosoever shows enmity to a wali (friend) of Mine, then I have declared war against him. And My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved to Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to me with nafil (supererogatory) deeds until I Love him. When I Love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him; and were he to seek refuge with Me, I would surely grant him refuge.’ ” [Al-Bukhari]
1. We are supposed to do amr bil ma'roof wa nahee 'anil munkaar. When others act out of line and promote deviancy in public and don't correct themselves, be prepared to be called out. Isn't that what YQ is claiming to be doing here?
2. Ironically, you're looking for DH' s fault for doing what is Islamic ally right in warning people of a public display in decay in morals and deviancy/kufr in the practice of Islam of influential public figures.
There’s a certain strand of salafia that’s really toxic and diseased. The takfiri strand.
On the other hand, having an ultra committed group that focuses solely on “Quran and sunnah” does serve a good purpose, in that they temper how liberal interpretations can be, because let’s face it, some of these western Muslim worldviews are really out there.
I have lost respesct for you. Why shouldn't one highlight the faults of others who invte people to highlight their faults particularly when they preach their faults to the public and can lead to the misguidance of the layman.
