    I am in a different country. I did a dpf delete, stage 2 remap. No dpf- no problems, got an extra 200k miles out of my 2013 mazda 6 tourer. Had I not deleted the dpf, the car would have failed at 150K miles and been stuck in limp mode while fouling injectors, raising fuel cost and ruining the exhaust cam.
    To all 2.2 skyactiv owners: upgrade your exhaust sensor (it is a manufacturer upgrade and god send if you have scbs lights and other crap popping up causing limp mode,) delete your dpf (this is not testable for emissions and has no inspection other than visual so put weld on top of dpf,) upgrade your front disc and pads to quality parts as this car is so heavy it eats cheap discs and finally swap that awful tom tom headunit/nav system for an android/apple play Kenwood or Sony xav ax series unit that will work with your steering wheel and console controls that is under £200 and a much more reliable up to date satnav stereo that also plays netflix and youtube and whatever else you stream or the kids watch.

      @@skinpack3480 I sold that piece of sht 5 months ago and bought a 2020 mazda 6 petrol. What a differnece. I can drive daily without having an obd2 attached to it and having to clear my boost codes.
      I love Mazda. petrols.

    Hi THE DPF TEAM very interesting video, can you please tell me if the CX5's in Africa that don't have the dpf systems are free from any of these problems ? like no turbo failure head gaskets blowing etc thanks.

      Assembled in Africa do not have DPF and any of the dpf related problems. Obviously turbo can fail but due to other issues but not dpf as we have seen in some dpf equipped cars

    Hi, once mazda cx-5 2013 has been converted to NON Dpf, cannot be converted back to DPF before Mot, is that possible?

    I was driving on the highway and error p2458 appeared, then p2463 and the car went into emergency mode reducing power.
    What do you think is the best place to start looking?

    Hi, I have a Cx-3 1.8diesel 2019 , can I ask you if this model have problem of software egr remap , after filter removed.
    I had another Cx-3. 1.5diesel of 2018, but after filter removed, the software process was not good, the guy that did the job told me that specific model was problematic !

      We have a challenge in the market of technicians like that. Only after tempering with the car and when money is in the pocket they start saying it’s difficult. We are almost at a point of no longer accepting jobs from vehicles that have been tempered badly. They usually take time to perfect at a level that we give our usual lifetime guarantee. You can book it through our workshop so that we can have a look.

    Thanks. So, what's your solution for those in Japan. I just bought a used CX-3 a week ago and just today I noticed the i-stop wasn't working after 1 or 2kms. I checked the car info and it said "i-stop unavailable, DPF problem." Should I just send the car back or is it not a big deal in a car I just bought?

      You can try regeneration. Its a short term solution but should work. A more permanent solution is converting to Non-DPF like we did to the one above. Returning it is pointless because if they give you another you will eventually have the same problem. Here in Africa these dpfs fail mainly due to our fuel quality.     Hello DPF team I have a Mazda 6 2016 sky active 2.2 Italian model. I have the same problem of white smoke coming out of exhausts typically when I accelerate suddenly to overtake or sometimes during Idling. The Mazda dealer replaced an injector because of engine warning light but still the problem persists. Your video is super helpful, but could you suggest this could be a DPF issue as well.?

      Hey did you get this issue resolved? I have a Mazda Cx-5 2013 with the same problem. At acceleration there is a cloudy white smoke behind the car.

      The vehicle will fail the Mot test. We highly recommend against the removal of the dpf if laws of your countries does not permit it

      If you only removed will be not past MOT.
      when you remove you need remap.
      Then you will past MOT no problem.
      Remove + remap is cost £500 thepend of garage

    Is there a similar solution for the newer model (140kw) Mazda CX5? I have this model and notice the DPF burn cycles. I have never had limp mode, but the cycle used to occur every 450km and it now occurs every 250km. I assume it will continue to worsen over time (as the DPF gets more and more blocked). Solution - gut out DPF from exhaust (or get new exhaust without DPF) and then write out the DPF cycle from ECU?

    I have a 2014 CX-5. The issue is, my DPF light pops up every few weeks and it is so annoying. Initially, whenever the light pops up the mechanic would clear the system… multiple times and the light goes away. That didn’t fix the issue. I found another mechanic who mentioned that the soot needs to burn off. He did that but the issue keeps returning.
    I noticed that whenever the DPF comes on the vehicle burns fuel RAPIDLY!!! Any pointers???

      Definitely its going to burn more fuel. This is because its trying to raise exhaust temperatures so as to cook the soot. You have to allow it to finish that process. You also need to ensure you are taking very good care of your vehicle (using good quality fuel and sending it for routine maintance. If you are not taking good care of vehicle the car will generate more soot than normal often prompting it to regenerate frequently (cook dpf thus chow fuel)

However, since the pandemic (March last year) I do minimal driving , maybe 2-3 times per week (sometimes no driving) and usually short distances. Do you think that might be a part of the issue, that is, limited driving and for short distances?

      Run down you tank and change the quality of fuel you are using. Try go to a service station known for the best quality of diesel in your country. After that replace diesel filter and run regeneration. The reason regen frequency increases could be mainly due to diesel quality issues or filter due for replacement.

      @@Aktik-Cat. It has been programmed to regenerate every few intervals. The problem sometimes is that our fuel isnt of the best quality. What that does is it causes dpf to clog with contaminants rendering regeneration useless

      @@Aktik-Cat. Make sure you use good quality of fuel. Try stick to traditional service stations. If there is fuel shortage in ZW again its better to park the car than force matters by using fuel yevakoman. If you have problem with DPF you contact us

    I want to buy mazda cx3 diesel 105 hp ..... Is it worth it or will I run to the garages ??? If I remove or drill the DPF filter .... Will the engine work better? .... Will it be able to pass the pollutant test? .... How many more pollutants will it show approximately ....? If anyone can help me ...

      Its a brilliant car! As long as its legal in your country you should be fine. You must also ensure its done by well trained technician in this area otherwise you will have problems after removal

      I am thinking of removing the dpf ..... just my opinion is not to close the egr valve because it helps not to increase the temperature in the combustion chamber ...... of course it will be filled with carbon but with cleaning and operation constant speed ... .it will be cleaned somehow ..... plus it will throw a little less black smoke ..... your opinion?

    So all you have done is illegally removed the Dpf rather than fixing the original problem. All you have done is made a car environmentally illegal and given the next owner of the car a massive headache by doing what you have done. It also will never pass any emission tests but you know that don’t you seeing as you have removed the number plate off the car !!

      I dont think you fully understood. Already here in Africa we are manufacturing similar cars with No DPF or adblue systems. However non-dpf cars are far more expensive to buy here in Africa than ex-Uk or ex-American. So we import and we just convert to Non-DPF. We do not have your emission tests here or emission laws thats why we can do this. Like i said in the video this option is not for people in countries with emission laws.
      And NO the owner will not have headack but will enjoy increased power and better fuel economy. You cannot do this however bcz of your country laws. Lol

      @@thedpfteam2423 quality of Fuel also matters imports are meant to run on 10PPM and 50 PPM max, most fuels in africa are high sulphur content. making DPFs and AdBlue irrelevant.

      @@thedpfteam2423 This was a greqt service. I currently have the same limb mode problem with my stupid Mazda cx5. I cut out the dpf and now its error after error. Mazda SA asks R31000 for a new dpf. A mechanic said he could fix it fir me for R4500 and he wil remap it to stage 2 for more power and fuel consumption. SA currently has no law stipulating that i must have a dpf. Its stupid and useless. Just have it removed by proffesionals. 😉

      I understand your point absolutely but...have you ever wonder, when DPF make regeneration (burn all dirt particles) where it all goes?

      @@sasacovic when the system is operating normal, as soon as your particulates filter is below threshold ( is not letting enough air out the pipe) the system goes into a regeneration ( it adds extra raw diesel in the filter to burn the particles) but you need to run the car at enough speed constantly for about 35 minutes) if you stop during regeneration, it will abort and you need to start running again without stopping. once the particulates are burned, they go out the exhaust pipe in a form of white ash that is supposed to be harmless to the environment.
