Hi! Just wanted to say I really appreciated this video - I'm trying to decide whether to buy into KDM this black friday, and this was a really good, clear video, where I was able to understand the rules without you belaboring anything. I'm not sure if I'll watch more, as I want to avoid spoilers, but this was a really cool way to see how the game plays.
43:02 Just found your channel and am enjoying the playthrough. Obviously very late but for the Debris you don't actually archive it unless the result says you do. So when you rolled a 3 and found nothing you should have left it on the board to try again if you wanted. You also don't have to be on terrain to activate it, you can be adjacent so you didn't have to move to search it either.
This looks dope! Thanks for sharing some gameplay. I'm excited to follow your playthrough and I'm hoping to maybe start a playthrough with a few other friends.
Amazing first video for a new KDM run! Big fan of the big scream during the Prologue, got a bit of validation (from my also terrible runs in this game) and maybe experienced a little schadenfreude seeing the 1 roll on population and also knocking down the white lion and then immediately hitting Clever Ploy. Overall, extremely happy to see you making this series, and excited to see how Lanternsong does.
Great video. Really good editing and sharing your thoughts. You do not get an insanity from the reaction in from Beast paw. Monster controller gets +1 insanity when they PICK themselves (so it can’t be a set target like a reaction, or he is the only eligible target e.g closest). You have to be able to pick yourself amongst multiple targets.
@@ADeathtoMonsters unfortunately yo I do not, as you don’t pick the target. See it as you’re insane enough to pick yourself to get attacked, thus you get an insanity.
@@ADeathtoMonsters also I wouldn’t get too hung up on the rules, as long as you do what you can to follow them. Most important thing is to have fun and a cohesive experience. KDM is so random anyways, haha.
There's a lot to follow! I've done a ton of campaigns (none to the end), but I feel like I found out I was doing a rule wrong every time. Thanks for your help.
Great first episode. I am looking forward to keeping up with this I cant wait for more. I wonder who will die next. Almost seems like it was meant to be that Shepard would die first haha.
Very good idea. I went virtual with my friend group too. Instead of having to build and paint ALL of the figures on top of learning the game. We were just able to play. Way cheaper too.
Still at the beginning but I am not understanding how the Lion's, or anyone's for that matter, HP works. I thought it was the AI cards but then those were all used up and we sre still fighting it
It'd be nice but it'd be very overpowered to skip over having to make the ass tier bone weapons if you could go directly to making the way better cat weapons. There's almost nothing scarier in the campaign than that first level 1 White Lion if you didn't pull a baby and survival of the fittest or get lucky with your first drops.
I usually wait to fight the level 2 antelope when I have dash and range 2. But we've become so flooded with bone that fighting him might be helpful to turn it all into other resources instead. I wouldn't fight the level 2 one though, just the level 1. There's just a very good possibility at least one person will get eaten and someone else might get their weapon or arms eaten.

Yessssssss. Such a good version. I've looked for a lot of these types of playthrough. Your is an incredible media.

Thanks for doing this video! Great refresher course. Wish they would mimic TTS as far as shuffling and picking up cards in this simulator.
ugh, the physics of that dice.. at 43:18
I have no idea what content this is but I am here for it.
Two minutes in, oh okay, I have an idea of what this content is lol. I'm here for it!
Excited to see this grow!
This is great! I'm definitely going to keep playing
Amazing video as always shep!

This is so good, Shep!
Have just started the vid but it already looks so good.
I don't play board games and things like that but I'm happy to watch a playthrough.

Thanks Toby! Do you get the gain on random chance as well? Based on your wording, I'm guessing not?

Loving the video explanation as I am diving into the game for the first time. Are you playing this on the TTS mod or the official KDM Sim?
Great first episode. I am looking forward to keeping up with this I cant wait for more. I wonder who will die next. Almost seems like it was meant to be that Shepard would die first haha.
I have the specific curse of anyone who gets the +1 strength is the first to die. It's almost always like that for me somehow.

Im having the strangest case of deja mustard
Hell yeah!
This is incredible! How can we get access to this VTT?
MOAR
How did you get the dice throwing camera and effects on crits?
Why did that lion hate Shepard?

Once the AI cards are all gone, it's one more hit to kill it. There are some exceptions, but that's basically how it works.
lets fucking gooooooooooooooooooooooo
House rule: give yourself Cattarium after prologue because you *did* beat White Lion for the first time 4head
