Funnest fact: Most of the ridiculous physical things Tom Hardy did in this movie were either 1) his own idea, or 2) done by him and him alone. He REFUSED to have a stunt double for both Venom movies. Also the voice of Venom is also Tom, so take that as you will.
A lot of people hate this movie but I really love it! I was laughing so much, it is my type of humor. Any humor that is dumb or dark is going to make me laugh so much. Glad you enjoyed it too!
The original scene when Eddie gets into the lobster tank was supposed to be he just falls and hits his head and gets knocked out, but Tom Hardy thought it would be more comical relief and easier to explain that somebody that has a fever would need to cool off, so he convinced them to let him try it.
I absolutely love these moves simply for all of the times that Eddie and Venom are arguing about random stuff - it's so entertaining and I love how they did that. It ends up being like a weird dysfunctional but fun friendship. He's a great anti-hero and I really hope we get to see him interact with Tom Holland in the future.
My biggest home is that one day we get a combo movie with spiderman and venom. and that in that movie they fight Martin lee ( mister negative) and that by the power of the negativity venom becomes Anti-venom
I think [SPOILERS FOR NO WAY HOME] No Way Home showed us that Venom will be in our universe, but I'm assuming it's gonna be another actor and another Venom. They might even go with Flash as Venom. If the rumours are true about Garfield's Spiderman continuing, they might put Hardy's Venom in his universe since it makes the most sense out of the three Spiderman universes.
The best part of these movies is that Tom wore an earpiece that played Venom’s (whom Tom also voiced) lines so that he was 100% having conversations that were often improvised. A lot of the actors who starred opposite in scenes with him had not heard the lines before and it added to the comedic value and authenticity because Tom really looked like he was fully crazy. The bloopers are ridiculous😂
Have you thought about Deadpool? Don’t listen to the people who say you need to see X Men first, no. Just go straight to Deadpool. Even Ryan Reynolds’s hated what he did in his first go round. Deadpool then Deadpool 2. Let’s do it!
I love this movie because Eddie is so different than your run-of-the-mill hero because whether they have their lives together or not, comic heroes in other movies look all nice and put-together with outfits that highlight their muscles and shit, whereas Eddie looks like absolute trash for the entirety of this movie. His apartment is wrecked, he wears that dirty, sweaty grey hoody for the whole movie, and looks like he hasn’t showered in 6 weeks, and we STILL love him because he’s relatable 😂
- I agree with your sentiment here, Eddie is so much better in this than the other Eddie Brock from the first spiderman movie - Also, never change your TH-cam ID name, it's possibly one of the coolest I've ever seen. " ... I am the servant of the power behind the Nothing. I was sent to kill the only one who could have stopped the Nothing ... "
The movie becomes a lot better when you realize that, most of the time, Tom Hardy is talking to himself. Not just as Eddie, but since he also voiced Venom. Also, his scream when he sees Venom for the first time in his bathroom is exactly how I'd imagine most people reacting to an alien inside of them. He did very well in this movie. Venom is my favorite "hero" out of all of the super hero universes (Marvel, DC, etc) and I'm really happy that he got two really good movies.

They changed it for the films. But in the comics Riot is one of Venom's offspring. They way their species (the Klintar) works, their offspring is always stronger than them. Also they take on some of the aspects of hosts they take. Like in the comics 2 of Venom's hosts that determined his abilities and personality were Deadpool and Spider-man.
@@Aiveq they retconned that before Peter got the symbiote it was on Deadpool first during Secret Wars, also that's a retcon because Deadpool didnt exist until about 1992
@@Aiveq OG 90's Venom was super goofy. As in like, thinking he was a good guy and "saving" people and honestly a bit stupid in his hate for Spider-Man and thinking he was a bad guy. It was only in the 00s where Venom started becoming more sadistic in their methods. But anyways the Deadpool Retcon was veeerry recent, in like, 2018 - 2020ish, but it kinda fit regardless
@@flerken4233 Venom hated Spider-Man because Peter rejected him, his hate intensified when he bonded with Eddie because Eddie blamed Peter for him losing his job as a reporter. So, in their eyes Peter and Spidey are both bad guys.
The question of whether it's more fun to be Venom or Spider-Man is a tough one cause they're very different. If you're Spider-Man, you're just yourself but in a suit. If you're Venom, you're not really Venom itself, but you'd be Eddie. As much as I love Venom and think he's sweet and funny, it would be exhausting to live with a voice in your head that tells you to eat and kill people.. Then again, having a built-in bestie sounds kind of nice
- Well, there is the point of, if Spiderman is getting his butt whooped, 'Peter' can't exactly just come and save him, but if Eddie is getting thrashed, even to a near death point of no return, Venom can come along, kick all their tails, heal him back to full health and then eat all the thugs to hide the evidence - even if Eddie was asleep, so ..... as far as recoverability goes, Venom does have that over Spiderman, because Spiderman doesn't have any healing properties really.
@@Arthaius Yeah but if Eddie is getting beat up, that's just him losing a normal human fight. As Spider-Man you wouldn't lose those fights and need Venom to save you. Spider-Man also does have a healing factor and we've seen him take massive damage and be fine. He was hit by a bullet train and walked it off, that alone shows how hard he is to take down. Meanwhile Venom can die from someone throwing a molotov at him or using a flamethrower. He can also be taken out from random noises at certain frequencies just by accident. Eddie doesn't even get to do anything either, he's just there for the ride. Spidey is the clear choice.
Venom is what’s known as an antihero. There’s variations especially in comics, but in general he’s an anti hero, basically a guy who usually fights for good, but is willing to kill and do whatever nasty things it takes to win whereas a standard hero has boundaries on how to achieve victory. That’s the key distinction I’d say. They also don’t always fight for good, they’ll only fight for good if it has their own well being involved. They could have bad intentions at times
Essentially yes. Venom has access to all of Eddie's thoughts and memories, and made sure to not hurt her when they bonded. Also because thanks to being bonded to Eddie, Venom gained a little crush on Anne too.
I would rather be anti-venom. He is a mutant symbiote who has ALL of Venom's abilities, plus the power to fix mutant genes. For example, he can touch Spider-Man and erase the mutant genes given by the spider, transforming him back into a normal human. And he doesn't have any of Venom's weaknesses
To explain how Venom survived. He and Eddie are a perfect match, they bonded at a cellular level, so Venom wasn't destroyed, just burned into unconsciousness.

Eminem nailed this tie-in track. A whole double entendre about symbiotes and Em's effect on his listeners. Also, I'm the proud owner of a super badass venom tattoo. One of my first when I was kid.
It will be interesting to see how they approach Secret Wars and if the Symbiote angle will be in play at all as in the original 1984 comic series thats where Spider Man originally acquired it on Battleworld. From what is being said, there will be multiple varients involved with the possible reintroduction of both Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield so the Venom story could go in a lot of different directions in the future. That is if Marvel even uses elements of the 1984 or 1985 series or just focuses on the more modern 2015 series.
here's some more nerdyness for you... So in the comics its revealed that the Venom Symbiote''s desire to eat brains and chocolates stems from it's need for phenethylamine. But also in the comics its revealed that Eddie has cancer which causes is adrenaline to increase which Venom Symbiote feeds on. But also in the comics it's revealed that as long as they are bonded Eddie's cancer is essentially on hold or at bay. At one point though even the symbiote cannot cure his cancer and he sells his symbiote to the highest bidder at an auction of villains (so much for the moral high ground). A mob boss named Don Fortunado buys it for his weak son Angelo hoping it will give him the edge he'll need to carry in his father's footstep but as they are swinging Venom flat out rejects him and drops him to his death. Then he goes and bonds with Mac Gargan aka The Scorpion. They run around for a while half Venom/half Scorpion look. They got released to be part of the Thunderbolts team (a team of villains released for missions and given time served if they obey the rules). Meanwhile a dying Eddie makes his way to a soup kitchen run by an up and coming political figure; Martin Li aka Mr. Negative. He has two sides like Yin and Yang. One side is the normal looking political figure appearing to want to help and the other side is a mob boss with his own henchmen whose skin is black but his eyes, hair and tux are all white. And as his name implies if he touches you he converts you into an opposite version of what you are. In this case he touches Eddie whose dying from cancer but still has some trace elements of the symbiote inside him. All that is converted by Mr. Negative's touch and he becomes a white symbiote with a black spider and goes by the name Anti-Venom and his touch now cures people of addictions, diseases and in Spider-Man's case almost cures him of his irradiated blood that gives him Spider powers. Meanwhile, they Venom symbiote is eventually removed from Scorpion, taken control of by the government and weaponized. They start utilizing wounded/dismembered soldiers to be the host. And one of those ends up being Peter's high school bully, Flash Thompson who lost both of his legs in battle. The Venom Symbiote is able to regrow his legs and trades in his traditional look for for something that resembles and armored up soldier. Flash becomes known as Agent Venom and even goes on to have adventures in space with the Guardians of the Galaxy taking him to the original species of the Symbiotes, the Klyntarr. I would love to see if Tom Hardy does give up being Venom within the Sony Spider mini MCU world after his 3rd film that maybe the symbiote passes on to Flash for a time. Another great story to adapt would be The Planet of the Symbiotes whereby Eddie screams at the symbiote to give him some breathing room and let him think without constantly having the symbiotes 2nd voice in his head. The symbiote complies but later lets out a psychic cry that is heard across galaxies by a planet whose inhabitants are all currently hosts for symbiotes. These symbiotes are revealed to just come in, conquer, burn out their hosts and move on and unbeknownst to they symbiote its psychic cry to just gave them a map to their next food source; Earth. The story shows all hell break lose as symbiotes invade. One panel even showed a Captain Amerca covered in a symbiote fighting in the background (when he was sporting an armored motorcycle helmet). It takes the combined efforts of Eddie along with the Venom Symbiote, Peter Parker/Spider-man and Peter's clone, Ben Reilly aka The Scarlet Spider to stop it. Oh and the story involves Carnage escaping prison and developing a new ability to absorb all of these symbiotes into one giant mass, a Giant Carnage.. There's so many great stories with these symbiotes that have gone beyond just Spider-man's world but unfortunately Sony's ownership of Spider-man and associated characters film rights limits how much they could interact within the bigger MCU. Really wish Sony and Disney could work out a more expansive deal to include the Symbiotes in the MCU.

Klyntar symbiotes feed primarily on Phenylethylamine, seratonin, and other neurotransmitters. Eddie keeps Venom in check by eating massive amounts of chocolate, since Phenylethylamine is primarily found only in chocolate and the human brain.

That is if Marvel even uses elements of the 1984 or 1985 series or just focuses on the more modern 2015 series.
Yes! I'm glad you're checking out the Venom movies before No Way Home!
THAT TITLE IS WILDDDD
Alex: Avoid sleep in the sheets when science speaks…what?!
Me: Exactly 😂
here's some more nerdyness for you...
I live for the simple things in life, Alex's jump scares really just hit the spot 👌🏻🤣
& I hope you watched the post-credit scene!
Just watched this last night for the first time. I love Eddie & ‘parasite’ 😂
Marvel fans: "We want VENOM to be R-Rated!!!"
Avi Arad: "VENOM will be PG-13, so everyone can bring their children to watch."
Me: 22:20
Imagine how cool an R rated venom movie would be. Missed opportunity imo
You dirty diddly gooberino.(flanders) 😂 Can't wait to watch this.
I'd be Spider-Man. Mostly because I have my own free will, but also because of Spider Sense
That title though... surely you knew what you were doing! 😂
This isn't funny to anybody else? Really? Lame...
At 5:01 when the guy said said my god I immediately thought of Markiplier in Space when one of the characters said, “My god we’re stuck in a god damn worm hole”.😂
I love the venom series, but honestly besides the post credit scene in Venom 2, not much else connects directly to No Way Home. I understand why but I can’t wait for you to get to No Way Home!
Bro asked if Venom was necessary to watch, was told no, and said "nah I'm pushing No Way Home back two more weeks anyways"
Sometimes ya gotta say fuck it. I'm watching it anyway.
Well 3 weeks, since he skipped oit on last week's Marvel "Monday"
NWo overrated fan service and 3 yrs too early.
@@Humanipathic I thought it was fucking awesome.
@@TheRealHappyHuntsman oh def good but not top 5-8 for ppl would put it - but didn’t like how they put it in on the verge of multi verse and pulled back much like Multi verse of the madness - we’re not getting for yr or two now. Bait and switch. Just another reason too much content and quality suffers. Holland should’ve gotten his 3 films and May’s death should’ve been his villain tethered to him and his universe.
I like to think I have a super badass Venom tattoo. It was the start of what will eventually be my trio of anti-heroes half-sleeve (Venom, Deadpool, and Punisher)... but then covid happened... so I've just kinda been stuck with only venom on my forearm for a few years now lol.
Definitely don't want to be Venum. He eats his host.
Nah the title is on another level😭😭
symbiote (thats what venom is) if you train your connection enough you can do so much more than spider man
My last monday wasnt the same without these
aint that truth! So two more Tuesdays til no way home right Alex?
Klyntar symbiotes feed primarily on Phenylethylamine, seratonin, and other neurotransmitters. Eddie keeps Venom in check by eating massive amounts of chocolate, since Phenylethylamine is primarily found only in chocolate and the human brain.
You need to watch the post credit scenes
Interesting fact is that practically nobody talks about Michelle William's amazing acting in that movie.
It may be a simple scene, but it's among my favorite and most believable scenes I ever saw in movies.
Alright 😂😂 that title is out of pocket 😂😂
Venom is not exactly a villain. They have been more of an anti-hero for a long time, they just hate Spider-Man.
Ураааааа! I so glad that you watched this! 😊 Dont forget about post credit scene pls❤
In the comics in secret wars venom was his new spider suit it was awesome But he didn't know it was venom
Thank you for doing these mate great reaction 💯👍👍 and lol as ya said ya haven’t seen the “Deadpool’s” well worth watching I think his sense of humor is right up your alley 🤘❤️🇬🇧🤘and fun fact venom’s also voiced by Tom hardy 🤘
The little Dylan input was great lmao twinsiessss I'd die to see a collab with you two
This blinking sound is hilarious 😂
I like the contrast of this channel, upbeat intro, high energy, randomly insults movie characters for no reason and unhinged jokes
okay your title was disturbing 😝🤣🤣🤣, But But But , as always your commentary wins , I'm so glad that i found your channel , i love spending time watching your videos , Please keep doing your great work like that 😍😌😌
I wonder what people who didn't watch Venom and have had this on their recommended think of the title 😂
The astronaut, Jameson, is JJ Jameson's son in the comics.
people like you annoy the hell outta me. the character was also in spider-man 2, so it's not just the comics
i hate it when I accidentally come inside grandmas
Dude I thought I was the only one. The only thing I’m afraid of is sharks so of course “large bodies of water” goes with that. Especially if the water is cold.
Alex not getting jumpscared by nothing challenge (impossible)
Spider-man. Because 21:56 xD
Being venom would just be way better than being Spider-Man. Your never alone, and you can take care of shit so much easier while Spider-Man is having the worst life and trying his hardest to pull his shit together
🤣🤣🤣calling it our friend to talk trash👌🏾👌🏾….you & billybinges would be a great reaction, you two always crack me up so I’m sure together it’d be hilarious!
The shark comments youve made a bunch of times is so true to me 😂 i have scared myself out of the pool many of times by thinking theres a shark lmao 😂
More Tom Hardy films are no bad thing... Warrior is his best IMO, Lawless, Legend, Locke, all great performances
Also, watch The Boys, the whole "who pays for the damage" concerns and others about superheroes are kinda covered in that show, it's phenomenal
You forgot Tom Hardy playing Bane in dark knight rises ,to coincidence Tom Hardy also voices venom
@@manufran02 he's already reacted to them
I know I'm commenting on Tuesday, but I have slept yet, and it's 5am so it's still my Monday.
And you definitely made it suck less. Thank you
