"other actors could play it better, but I couldn't play it better" ..in all my years in the entertainment business, I never heard such a self-effacing statement from a major star
i think he meant it in the way that alzheimers disease is still a mystery of the brain and muscles. By saying he couldnt have played it better , hes saying no one can do it perfect...its a disease with so many facets
For all the trappings of the British Class sysytem (Sir) Michael Caine has remarkably never lost the objectivity of his early roots. Thank you for posting.
Micheal Caine is a legend, and one of the Last of the "Great British actors." What I admire most about this man (also abit with Connery too), is the fact that how famous hes become, going through Hollywood, all this, and he is still amazingingly down to earth. I dont want him to stop acting ever, just keep going I say. I love how hes working alot with younger gen actors. They need to work more with greats like Caine, because they can learn so much from them, about real, great acting.
I very much enjoyed this interview snippet. I only wish the description had mentioned what film they were discussing. Can anyone enlighten me? I’d like to see it.
It was called: Is Anybody There made in 2009. I wanted to see it, but so far all U-tube has posted are the trailers. It looks like it was excellent and I still would like to see it.

Cliff Shell, I just heard that quote and came down here to write the same thing!!!
@@joedellaselva1251 I did too! But I would have included _"...so I'm very happy with that."_ Not just self-effacing, but wise.

he said, he said...
Jesus, I didn't think anybody spoke like that anymore.
He will always be my 'friend'. A laugh and a joker. But will always be a 'mensch', humane.
Still " Only supposed to blow the bloody doors of the thing!!"
Not a lot of people know that Michael..........
Not heard that one before.............
Talk about a spoiler for anyone wanting to watch the movie.
