That one about choosing ur character is probably the most valuable. Many ppl just go for stats just to do better in dungeons. I like my toons even if they are not the best one for the role.
Leaving the game, but still like watching your vids. I'm not going to hang around another year for them to upgrade Guilds. Should have been done a long time ago. That said, there's a number of great people in the community. And for those who aren't, liberal use of the 'ignore' button saves your sanity. Also, after joining a guild, please help them build structures, if they're not level 20 already. It gets everyone better guild boons. With so much to do, this gets overlooked. Having said that, it's a game, not a second job. Your health comes first. That's true of any game.

1) The workshop that unlocks at level 12 is a good way to make a little extra gold each day. Using the daily morale that refreshes each day is a fast way to craft and makes ranking up the professions go faster.
2) Also, Neverwinter has the newer teleport stone hub system that grants free travel to a set location when the portal is not in cool-down. Protector Enclave is a good set point.
3) Side note, the mount insignias from skill nodes are bound to character so refining them into powder is helpful if not needed.
4) Joining a guild is great advise. Great people and helpful boons. I joined a guild right at the bat.

Ah, maybe the skill node ones are bound to character, but I did end up with a bunch of unbound ones that I could sell. Maybe those ones came from enemies 🤔
Once I set my location, how do I teleport there? I cant find anything.
@@CL-ty6wp hello, sorry for late reply. On the mini map is a green diamond with runic like symbol on it/or a bird . just click it after the location has been set and are given a box teleport to (set location) and you just click "OK". Once used there is a cool down but handy.

A few of the biggest challenges for me in the past and I refresh my understanding on every time I come back to NW is gear..enchantments..how it all works..what's good for my character, what are all these items that keep filling up my bag?
I remember being totally new and overwhelmed by it all and this was probably 6 years ago? coming from another game that was nothing like this I spent more time trying to look up info and watching videos ( which usually confused me even more due to most assume you know all the language of this game ) that I did the game..and I left..came back..left..so on and so on.
I keep coming back because I really like the game itself but stuff changes ALL THE TIME...it's a new game every time I come back lol..
So here I am back again after 3 years..last time I wanted to play..everyone was mad at the game and people were quitting and streamers were quitting..I was like ok yeah..Neverwinter seems to be in a bad place.
I actually disagree on the "queue on random dungeons as soon as you can". Well, somewhat disagree. As of now, the levelling queues are pretty broken seeing as they added mechanic-heavy dungeons. If you are, say, a level 5 tank, you won't be able to handle the damage from mobs on those content and it would be a slog to finish, if you manage to finish it at all without your party leaving. I'd suggest to do the queues once you get to level 20, since the levelling process is pretty short anyway. Of course, you can do just fine if you get the easier dungeons ,but right now random dungeons is a gamble.

What's not made clear is just how important the pets are (their active bonuses in specific). This is how you cap out (or get close to it) your required stats.. They are what new max level players should be focussing on along with mounts as they are by far the most influential variable to your performance and they are very AD cost effective compared to other upgrades.
Bonuses from companions and mount insignia indeed. Also need to start farming Juma bags for gear, mounts, and companions, and zok boxes for companion gear. I would say if a player is going to spend real money, after VIP next up is mount and companion upgrade token packs...getting the bolsters up are very important, and improves the bonuses.

Reading a lot of hate comments about the game. I used to play MMO games hardcore, and so long as you don’t spend about $1000 to be max for 2 months, then it’s a good game. I have Tons of experience. The complaints are limitless. Everyone complains about anything in every game. This game is enjoyable from the looks of things. It’s also not demanding of you to spend a lot of money, unlike some games I have played. One being a DCUO MMO veteran.
Neverwinter's been out a veryyy long time. So very long story short every couple of years Cryptic does some horrific changes that shits on all its long term players & the majority of the playerbase leaves. Then to Cryptics credit they manage to rebuild an entirely new playerbase that has no knowledge of Cryptics prior shenanigans & all the cool features etc that have been removed from the game. The hate is more than justified, you just haven't seen the cause of it.. Yet..
Just came back to Guild Wars 2 after a LOOOONNNNGGG break and....I'm not feeling it for some reason. I'm in MMO crisis lol. Gonna give Neverwinter a try since it's free on Steam, good vid thanks for the tips!

Insignias from treasure chests and skill nodes are character bound. Ones that drop from enemies are unbound and sellable. I agree though, raid all chests and nodes because (A) you need insignias and finding them is a lot cheaper than buying them, and (B) any you find that you don't need, you can turn into powder for upgrading the ones you DO need.
i d suggest going with jeweler profession after unlocking ur workshop, then u can send ur adventurers to farm stones then refine those into quartz for refining points if u rly need them. once u lvled ur artisan up a bit u can even get the +1 quartz quite often for double refining points. make sure u dont run out of money for commisions by making some copper rings and selling them to the vendor.

I know im like 3 weeks late but im new on xbox and wanted to switch over to PC. Is the game super demanding for PC? One a scale of runescape to BDO xD. Great content by the way (Subbed lol).
I play it on a shit laptop. Low graphics settings but it runs fine. If your PC is half decent (not even good, just half decent) then it'll be fine, BUT you might have to decrease graphics settings if you have trouble with low frame rates and/or crashes.

Here are a few I preach to new players
1. Definitely join a Guild.
2. Start a 2nd character, I have 1 I use a, "Mule" or Bank. I never did a single mission with it, but it has all the huge bags that are full, so yeah, staring Mule #2 shortly.
3. Invoke, invoke, invoke, open the little "Monkey looking thing'' that will drop from invoking, if you get a cupon, and have zen, use it, I only personally use the cupons for Professions and pick up ONLY Coalescent wards

I'm on console atm so I'm not sure if this changes in the new mod, but I would say use the injury kits you get as rewards because they're only usable until lvl 30. Saves time.
Also, whenever you've finished a zone, buy whatever armor you need, and use the rest of the bounty tokens to buy as many of those 5 token bags as you can, then sell it all to make some quick gold.
They still have bounty on console? On PC they took bounties out of the game ages ago.

I quit playing over a year or more ago when my rogue got to some hub where you had to grind these dailies forever to get whatever endgame crap to keep up. Is it still like that or is there something new that i can log into him and not do those anymore? lol

@@Silv3ry it was a quest hubbwhere you did daily quests. I think it was in a bunch of caves. I think it was to get scrolls which I think was currency used to get the end game gear. Like I said, it’s been a min lol
I'd say it's worse now. They actually removed a lot of content. All content that is left is locked behind item level requirements. You now have to grind for gear to meet the required item levels to unlock new content. Oh and no more exp you now gain levels at certain points in the story progression. They call it milestone leveling. I'm thinking the game will be dead shortly.
The game is better than ever. I've been playing for 5+ years, still totally addicted. But I'm the positive kind, the grateful kind. Can't speak the the moaning, complaining "I want everything now now now" kind. Sorry.

How do we beat Cradle of the Death God after we have been capped at 24K?
Work as a team, communicate with regard to skulls and slime (newbies love killing anything that moves as soon as it moves) and ask your cleric to use Anointed Army during the DPS check, for that damage boost. Same as it ever was.

If you can afford it, get it straight away. Then you start getting your daily key right away and have a small chance at getting a great reward, a great chance at getting a decent reward, and a 100% chance to get tradebars which are essential for upgrading mounts and companions, plus you can use them to buy top level enchants and runestones, epic mounts and companions, and whatnot.

@@chaosblackstar Yes. VIP is accountwide, and the items you get from lockboxes (including tradebars) are all transferable to other characters.
Instead of buying PE scrolls hit the PE teleport stone. fast way back

i used to love this game. but it is most defenitely slowly dieing now. it feels very much like it is on permanent life support, only a matter of time before it gets taken of life support and allowed to die, of they could actually fix the problems in their game and make it good again, like it used to be a few years ago. if they fixed a small number of things it could be good again. one of the major ones being a policy to rinse and repeat the players dry every time they release a new module. they don't really seem to care about their player base or anything that they can't rinse for cash ASAP
Edit: disregard... i just did not read the reward section stating you need to reach lvl 5 or 20 for some trewards xD

@@AyoubusMagnus I'm not sure about linking them but if you downloaded NW via Arc, delete it and download it through Steam, or just try opening NW through whichever launcher you didn't initially download it from. Your accounts will be safe - they're saved permanently on the server. I know I can launch NV via Steam or Arc (I have both) though I tend to just use Arc.

I want to get back into the game but I simply can't handle the refinement system.
Why's that?
There's a number of ways to upgrade gear. Dread Ring lairs sometimes drop enchanting materials, as do completion chests in Random Trial Ques. Sybella also will trade you rank 6 items and others, for doing the quests, for the tokens she bestows. And of course, the AH will have items for sale. With 100k a day in Astral diamonds, it doesn't take long to gear up. Like Silv3ry below, I'm curious which aspect of refinement is a problem. I've played for 3 years, so I might just be overlooking things, or suppressed painful memories. Hope you work it out. Game has flaws, but I think a lot of people would enjoy it, especially with so much to do starting out.
And it if is a refinement points issue sacrifices an enchantment slot for a fey blessing, quartermaster, or dragon hoard enchantment; you’ll rack up more points than you will know what to do with!

so VIP basically gives you a lockbox key once a day that gives your character huge boosts? this sounds heavy P2W and probably not even worth getting invested in this game unless you plan to pay the sub. Sucks, was looking forward to trying this game as a F2P player
Lockboxes have a very low chance of dropping something like that. They typically drop refinement, enchantments, and reroll tokens. The boxes themselves are not worth investing in, but vip itself gives a lot of quality of life benefits. It's absolutely not required, there are tons of f2p players.

@@andysmith839 I saw that too but I guess they changed that, which is good because I saw console players upset that it was coming out in September because PC play got it earlier but I thought most console players didn’t understand is the game started as a pc game and not console but then I read somewhere that console players got the same update around the same time pc players would in the past so understood why they were upset with getting the update in September but if I had to guess one reason for the change because they saw console players upset about September having getting the update but I’m not sure. I’m sure a lot of console players are glad they made the change though.

Yeah, if you have a lvl 20 character you are basically ineligible. I just made a 2nd ghost account to invite my main account and it told me to get F'd...And that's our reward for loyalty and playing a ton of the game haha...If you want when I hit 10 on my 2nd account in a little while I can send you an invite code. If you send me yours as well we can help each other get both sides of the rewards.
Always good videos, but my best tip is to quit the game and never return tbh

wait chris ? as in chris whiteside ? he was supposed to be the new saviour of neverwinter or so i heard haha. guess he failed as well. shame game is good at it's basic level. but as soon as you get to 20 and hit the grind phase. then it is time to get your debit/credit card out and SPEND SPEND SPEND constantly. every new mod every time a new piece of BIS gear comes out, or new artifact weapons ETC ETC.
I've been playing for years, never paid a cent, love the game to bits. You're free to be as negative as you want but you ONLY speak for one person - you, and you're a bit of a moany shit, so why would anyone listen to you?
