I am aware of changes coming to race abilities in the next stats rework update for PC, so i will be making an update video later on to show the changes before they arrive on console.
2023 and im glad this guide is still reliant as it gives so much information on the the basic things!. Im currently playing this game for the 1st time and i cant have a full opinion about it but so far its pretty good. Currently its a Complete Bs ability for a even more Bs paragon (classes are split into paragons) at maximum level, BUT you can still use a armor enchant called firestorm (or something like that) that well.. Shoots fireballs from your feckin armor, am the the only one who finds that epic?

Thanks for the tips man! I ended up going with a tiefling CW. I just hit lvl 30 and I can’t find an up to date video on wether to choose arcanist or thaumaturge. What would you recommend in the current state of the game? I just wanna be strong with crowd control damage in PvE, not really concerned about PvP as much.
thanks glad I could help! I haven't used wizards that much but I think thaumaturge is the more popular one players use. yeah don't much care for PVP myself.

hey clawblade for barbaric which would you say is a good beginner companion the healer, the wizard, the dog or the man of arms?? In not sure what stats i should be focusing on?? Is it the hit points, armor pen, critical, etc.. for the barbaric role which is the most important so I can determine what companion to get from the 4 that the offer you on the quest?? Appreciate how much you have helped me out already!!

I been off for years after mod 16 came out. Which I hate. I just got back on last week. I'm just casually playing. It's not the same as it used to be
best race for wizard
Its a great class at endgame, but had a hard time enjoying it as i leveled it up.

About to crank this up since I can’t play the new baldurs gate. Any suggestion on what the best class for a dwarf is?
A paladin tank is a great choice since dwarf race makes use of a bulky type class. You could also go fighter class too.
How dose a wizzy do solo, and do they get root and or snare type spells? And if wizzys are not good for solo in Neverwinter what spell casting (damage spells) class would be a good option, since there is no conjuror class is there any kind of pet system, tank or spell casting pets?
Alot of wizard powers are control effects (slowing, freezing) with some good damage attacks added in. Im not a wizard main, but have heard endgame content wizards are pretty awesome. You just have to get through the leveling slog cause it is very dull to level it up
Hi I just started and I playing paladin, and I was wondering what channel divinity does cause I have no clue
Before level 30 I'm not entirely sure myself as i did not have a paladin at that level after mod 16 changes. For a tank it will allow you block massive hits at the cost of divinity. For a healer you can hold and channel it into a massive heal also at the cost of divinity.

@@Clawblade I played through with this character a bit but quickly changed my mind and went back, I experimented with different classes and races to see which ones work together and which ones are flexible, and then tried every single class. I decided on The Bard because you have ranged magic and sword and I can play a medieval guitar whenever I want like what bro I'm sold, the race however I kept going back and forth on, it seems that the Drow make the best Bards, but I didn't care for their aesthetic as much as other ones, eventually I decided that everything can be used with each other, you can make a half orc Warlock and it will still work to an extent, so I decided Bard because I'm musician irl, and Tiefling, because I like their little tails.

I want to start the game today and I like playing in a stealthy way so should I pick the wood elf with the rogue?
Rogue is a cool class, however they don't have stealth in the way i think you're thinking of. You can use smoke and daze abilities and go invisible temporarily, so its kinda stealthy but theres no sneaking around and getting surprise attacks on enemies.
What’s a good class for a solo beginner?
Some easier classes to use would be barbarian, paladin, and fighter.
is there any necromancy skill? if there js necromancy skill, what race and classes should i choose? Thanks In Advance!
No necromancers. The closest would be warlocks with summoning soul puppets. For races, tiefling would be good for a dps. As a healer, go with half-elf as its the only class to boost wisdom.
Im also new and my friend bought me the drow pack and was thinking of using a drow but im not a fan of pure dps because im usually a healer in other rpgs would the renegade or drow work for a wizard, warlock , or dps cleric due to the faeri fire for defense and damage nerfs i think( correct me if im wrong thats what they said ). But i am stuck making different characters and struggling with commitment on the classes i like the idea of range but when im soloing i tend to struggle

Sorry about the late reply. Drow would be good for those, not perfect, but they have ability scores that can benefit all three. range can be good and i understand struggling when soloing, especially as a dps with low defense stats.

I wanna start playing aswell and im thinking of going with wizard as it should be good for grinding because of its aoe attacks, but wanna know whats the best race for it, also I heard theres also referral codes or smth that give u benefits for playing the game for the first time
Glad you're interested in jumping in. For a wizard you'll want a race that has Intelligence to start. I recommend either a sun elf or a tiefling and always select the choice that has intelligence. as for referral codes it depends on which system youre playing on. for instance I have a referral code for anyone joining on xbox. you can use my code if you like. @@djgolden5903 yes i play neverwinter on twitch. I stream every weekend friday saturday sunday. Its not always neverwinter though. Sometimes its halo or dead by daylight or something new

Thank you for the support! for a wizard, i would go with Tiefling. its charisma and intelligence would be very helpful, along with the Tiefling's power to increase damage based on enemy health.

Human and wood elf are good choices. You want a race that provides dexterity for your crit severity.
What classes will a Drow be the most useful for?
I would say Rogue, Ranger, and Wizard. Dexterity and Charisma as attributes to choose.

Im trying this game out with a friend. What would you recommend for a duo setup. A tanky build and a dps or both tanky or both dps. And wich race and classes would you recommend. Sorry if im asking to much.

Don't worry, I enjoy when people ask me question. It just means they're interested in learning more. Yeah a DPS and a Tank role is pretty solid. My friend and I run the same combo and it works well.

Human is a decent all around race to use. Half orc is a top tier choice i feel for barbarians.

Im about to buy this game, have great sentiment since i played neverwinter nights 2 long time ago. Did they moved also a premium classes like mystic archer, shadow dancer, shapeshifter or aprretience of red dragon?
No premium classes in the game, just races.

@@damiancz2339 technically yes, but rerolling a race is a premium feature, as is the dragonborn race itself. fortunately the dragonborn race comes bundled with a race reroll token.

What are the two best classes for story? Right now I have a 32 Rogue and a 7 Barbarian, but I’m not sure if I should switch and delete any of the files.
Im not sure i understand "for story." You should play what feels right to you in terms of playstyle. No one can tell you how you play besides yourself. If you like these classes, you should stick with them. 👍
@@Clawblade the story mode? with Valindra and all of that? But I’m mostly just stuck. Rogue doesn’t feel like it’s doing much damage at all. Maybe it’s because of my gear or something, but I’ve gotten pretty far already.
@@AlmiGaslighter ah ok. Yeah honestly you can run anything. It can be done with any class. It could be your gear, just keep an eye on the level of the gear so its not too low and check the gears item level. The higher it is the higher your base damage and hp is.

It should be noted you can get get the paywall races for diamonds (at late game, im not sure if race reroll comes with)

They have added them separately in the zen market too for 500 each. They do not come with race rerolls unfortunately
What race/class should I go with if I want to be a dps
For classes, there is barbarian, wizard, rogue, ranger, bard, cleric, and warlock. As for race, select one best fits the class you're playing as. I tend to select my class first, even though the race is first on the character creation

Which is easier and which is best in a team battle ??
Probably fighter of the two. I don't consider barbarian to be the best tank choice
I haven't played that much MMO's but using the Fighter for a couple of hours has been fun, altough you have to defend yourself, and Barbarian seems to have more damaging options I guess that makes sense but still i'm not even lv5 with them yet just testing their playstyle haha

I'm returning after 3-or-so year break, and I lost my accout, I was playing tiefling warlock with soulspark that could heal allies and deal decent dmg is it still viable pve wise? I was also thinking about ranger this time, but idk, I need hero that can both deal on his own, and be able to support allies
So you may have left before mod 16 hit which changed alot of things. In the case of your warlock its been split into dps or healing paths. The dps is somewhat okay in terms of damage, and haven't tested out the healer side just yet. For the ranger, it has good damage along with some useful support powers. Its not great defensively though so be careful when surrounded.

Just started playing today, I like DPS but am aware most people go dps and in raids more people are after tanks and healers.

There are plenty of dps roles to play. Ive been enjoying playing as a bard aoe dps. It has fun powers to just plow through enemies. For tank im kinda biased on the paladin since i main as one. Glad youre enjoying the game so far.

@@sebastianjames7671 ranger is another popular class for dps. For races, you could go with half orc, wood elf, or even just human. You'll want to focus on dexterity for all three regardless.

Fighter is good. Either way incredibly good. Either way I think about the fighter for DPS is it so it’s ability it’s race ability chance to push stuff back all over your running around trying to collect it off and kill it. It’s kind of annoying actually.

awesome! if you're playing as a dps, I would go with someone like the Half-orc, human, or halfling. If you're playing as a tank, I'd recommend the dwarf, halfling, or human. hope it helps and enjoy the game.

@@ARMIWWPLAYS half elf isnt bad. You could easily set it up to be a decent tank by putting points into constitution and charisma. its ability to increase its deflect would help a little with tanking too.
one thing i have found out that for warlocks that havent hit lvl 30 they have a soul spark machanic. which says " certian powers grant soul sparks up to a maximum of 30 and each spark increases damage by 0.25 %
when out of combat with more then 6 soul sparks, a soul spark is conusumed every 0.5 secs , healing u for 0.5 % of ur hp
u generate up to 6 soul sparks when out of combat
this is completely pointless as u gain massive hp regen when out of combat anyways. that and there are NO powers that grant soul sparks before lvl 30 lol other then the dark ones blessing class feature which gives u 6 soul sparks when a enemy dies every ten secs

You dont get soul sparks before level 30 because its a paragon mechanic thats tied to the hellbringer path.

Rogue can be a fun class. Stealthy when you need to be. Its a good dps for the long run

For warlock i would probably go with gith or tiefling. For wizard? Probably the same. And for paladin if your going tank, i would go with either halfling or dwarf. If your going healer, maybe half elf

@@LoLo-vh2hn yes drow does work for warlock. I much prefer the Intelligence over wisdom though. Sun elf is another good option for wizard.

Any advice for someone completely new to this game. Been looking for a good mmorpg and this seems pretty legit. Problem is everything seems overwhelming. Not a damage guy I just want to play a fun game
My advice would be to just try it out try to learn and understand one mechanic at a time. You don't need to know all of them right at the start so no need to overwhelm yourself in the beginning. Also don't be afraid to try out new classes to get a better grasp on your playstyle. Characters are very easy to reach max level now, a couple of days even. so you can max level one, delete it and try a new one till you find the right one. I'm only suggesting that if you don't know what to play as, as it could get fairly repetitive playing the same 6 zones over and over.

I believe it would since it receives bonus in crit strike and has proficiency in the dex ability.

Sun elf would go more effectively with clerics. You want to look at intelligence and charisma whereas sun elf uses wisdom.

For barbarian i would look at the half orc,. For the paladin i would check out the dwarf or halfling if you're tanking.

@@bandboy2685 cant really say which one is best since they have different jobs. One's a dps and other is a tank. You have to choose based the role you want to play. I actually run both but my main is a paladin.

i'm using half orc and i'm a rogue and archer ? so i can use strengths and charisma and also dexterity for the rogue

Dont do wisdom for either. Go with dexterity and either strength or charisma

Normally, yes. But if you're looking to do a little more damage, having intelligence and dexterity can help at the cost of recharge speed of spells

Idk what to play man. I play this game way back sw, gf, dc I just dont know what class to play
tough starting out, but you have lots of options to choose from. my advice is to try each out and get a feel for them. don't play too long on them, maybe a day or two then switch, just so you don't invest too much into one and end up not enjoying it.

@@victor00420 I would say, of those three you mentioned, cleric. It has a great range with healing path and a dps path. if you can master the power rotation, it makes for a mean high dps class.

Yes since its an online mmo. Its unfortunately not on switch. Only PS, xbox and pc

For tank, i like dwarf. For healer, probably either human or half-elf since their the only ones who can boost wisdom (not including premium races).
Does Half orc go well with fighter ?
yeah half orc would work well for a fighter if you plan on using it as a DPS character.

@@edene6655 gotcha. Welcome regardless. Yeah fighters have some good survivability at the cost of lower dps than some. All around a good choice to start.

I thought warlock benefited with charisma and intelligence?
It does. However, if youre looking for a bit more damage in your hits or lacking in critical chance, having dexterity can help boost it up a bit.

Will a dwarf Palladian be a good build?
A dwarf paladin will be a great combination because of its defence stat boost and knockback resistance.

Me and two other friends are downloading Neverwinter. One is set on being a drow rogue and me and the second friend don’t really mind being anything. Any advice? (Second friend leans towards more being a good tank/damage combo)
Well you have a good start with DPS rogue and a potential tank. You could try playing as a healer to valance out the party.

What’s the best race for a rouge
Anything that can help build critical strike, like the half-orc and wood elf, would be useful.
Remember that "rouge" is the makeup women put on, not "rogue", which is the class you're actually asking for.

Imagine playing race and class that don't fit together in lore or in looks, as well not be best with said class would be funny to see
Be creative. If you have an extra character slot, go nuts 👍 i think a skinny tiefling barbarian would be funny to see. Or a dwarf ranger.

Bards are coming in a couple of weeks with Mod 21

I just download NWO and i'm highly disappointed with classes. Until bard comes i want to grind some cleric. How is my chance with cleric? Parties needs cleric?
@@sertdemir7138 by what I understand Cleric is the best dps in game right now, and the other build is a healer which no one will say no to a heal build.

It wouldn't be ideal since half orcs don't provide any defensive boosts that tanks require.
