Utterly brilliant. So simple, so easy to do, yet such amazing results! Also, I've been wracking my brain about what to do with the piles of bits I will never use... ... now I know... Thanks for such great content!
Haha that awesome to listen to. Will def be subscribing so I can listen to more of your tutorials in the background as I catch up on some painting. Cheers for the video.
7:15 - I did a diorama almost a year ago and it was disastrous: I poured a bit of brown paint in The Paste Mix™, but it wasn't as brown as on the label. So I poured more and more paint in the mix to make it as dark brown as possible. (Like Stirland Mud from Citadel). I wasted about 700ml of paint to a scenery slightly bigger than yours. A whole week I was checking on The Paste Mix™to see if the paint was dry and it smeared pigment on my fingers every day. I wasn't sure the pigment is going to dry properly (maybe some chemical reaction?), so I used 50/50 PVA glue + water mix to use it as "sealant". Thankfully, that glue coat really worked and it made wet mud effect, which is kinda cool, even if it wasn't intentional. Test your Paste Mix™ at least on a bottle cap before you use it.
oh no! im glad you got it sealed but yeah it can be finicky. If im doing anything larger than this i usually just try and get it vaguely brown and then paint it once its dry :)
@@lexlevels Yes, I should have tested my stuff. Anyway I found out that when you mix isopropyl alcohol + a little bit of rusty dry pigment over anything bright red you can get a look that can be described as red fragrant decorative stones. Also, Isopropyl alcohol also sticks to all glossy surfaces, so if you accidentaly spill half a bottle of agrax earthshade wash (from citadel) over your wooden diorama don't panic... Not like this specific event ever happend to me. ʸᵉᵃʰ ⁱᵗ ᵈⁱᵈ
Trees are great, worth burning your fingerprints off for! Also you mix things how I mix things, so it's fine - I like the organic way of making textured material. This is how I mix things when I cook too, measuring things is overrated.
Very much enjoyed the video. I have two young girl budding crafters, and If some of the language could be cleaned up (jokes/references would likely be over their head) I would absolutely show your content to them. There seems to be so few women crafters out there, I’m sure they would love your content.
Mate that was a cracking video. Really funny commentary and a great result.
Thank you!
Looks awesome!!! Can’t wait to see your monster bash creation!!! 😊

I really gotta actually use hotglue some time 😂 It seems like a really versatile material. Here I am just using it to stick things together.
Yeah it really has a lot of uses, highly recommend lol

Wait, Sarah Michelle Gellar played miniature games?
Totally said my name wrong, but I accept the accent excuse 😂Now I feel the need to get my Sylvaneth out and actually get some paint on them.
Ah I’m so sorry! Mine are looking fairly grey so I have no room to comment lol
@@lexlevels all good. I usually allow 3 mispronunciations before I'm offended. 🤣😉

Wait, I sold my soul, for the skulls box? Gad damn it... Well, I thought I might have got a bit more for my soul. Oh well.
Hey, there are quite a few skulls in that box… 😂
Hmmm, maybe it was worth it after all ❤
