    *@Dennis* , Dude I wanna tell you something. I just fixed the passenger side brake light on my Mom's car because of *YOUR* video. There are other YT videos on this topic, but none as *thorough* and detailed as yours on the physicality of taking the light out and putting the new one in. I'm not mechanically inclined, but my Mom's car is safer now, and my Mom is safer, without dealership labor costs because of you and your teaching ability. I am *GENUINELY* grateful. I hope God blesses you, your family, and loved ones, because today you saved me money and made my family safer.

    You are a lifesaver, my friend. I'm the furthest thing from a mechanic that you'll ever meet and even I was able to replace a bulb with this well done video. It would be an honor to enjoy a can of beer with you. Now, let me see if I have any. Oh, you have a six pack right there in your trunk! How convenient.

    My 2007 Camry SE just failed a state inspection because of a bad brake light. Before going, I checked all the other lights from turn signals to headlights and all were ok. I didn't check the brake lights because I had no helper and didn't want to go through the hassle of using a stick to hold the brake pedal. I assumed they were ok because all the others were. My foolish mistake cost me another trip to the dealer to re-check. Thanks, Dennis, for your excellent video that made changing the brake light so easy.

    My one-piece factory plugs were quite a tussle to get off. Had to yank em out, damaging them in the process. A tight place to work for big hands! Again, the bulb mounts were tightly installed, turning them to remove them a real effort. Toyota did its owners no favors. Thanks for a good lesson.

    • @dwcoffey

    Hello Dennis, this process seems to be different on my 2010 Camry. The tail lights are white on the bottom and red on the top. Is there supposed to be only 1 bulb on the trunk lights? Seems to only be a reverse bulb, no tail light. Thank you for any clarification.

    • @dwcoffey
      @dwcoffey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the 2010 has a slightly different tailights than the 2009 in my video. I'm not 100% sure about this but seems like I remember the reverse lights on the fender assembly is LED and the red tail light has a bulb. Also seems like both the taillight and reverse lights in the truck lid have bulbs.

    • @dwcoffey

      Thanks for watching, Dalton! Yes, some bulbs have 2 filaments in the same bulb. If you have regular bulbs, not LEDS, then you can just replace the bulbs and all should be fine.

    Hi there is there a problem if I use 921 on the 194 led bulbs and thank you for your videos

    • @dwcoffey
      @dwcoffey  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and thanks for the question. The 921 bulbs are 17 watt bulbs vs the 194 which is a 4 watt bulb. I believe the bases are interchangeable, so you should be able put the 921 bulb in there, , but the 921 is bigger, hotter and brighter. I think there is probably plenty of room for the bigger bulb to fit into the housing, but I don't know if the additional heat generated by that bulb will cause a problem with the lens, the reflector, or possibly the housing. That would be my main concern.

    My 2007 Camry doesn't have a lower bulb slot in the rear panel. There's a small white electrical connector where the video shows where the brake light socket is.
    Has anyone else encountered this issue?
    Where is the brake light socket?
    I can't find the brake light bulb socket anywhere.

    • @dwcoffey
      @dwcoffey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching, Paco! Is your Camry a Hybrid? The Hybrids have a LED brake and tail light. I think the only way to replace those is to replace the whole housing assembly.

Ive have looked on the internet with no explanation of which relay it is..i heard thats its marked "MG CLT" but its not there..people been saying "its in the fuse box behind the battery" and i said "i know that dip shit but which relay is it?" Lol the closest one i could find is a "MSB" relay...thanks guys..god bless

      Cause relay is not labeled on the fuse box for the compressor clutch relay

      Did you follow the link I gave you and see the diagram? It is the relay marked MGC (magnetic clutch). It should be the only relay in a corner of the box, but follow the diagram to be sure.

    Video doesn't reflect my 07 correctly. Can't find brake light

      Thanks for watching, Brice. Is your Camry a hybrid? The taillights on the Hybrids are a little different in appearance. The gas Camrys all have a red taillight on the truck lid, the Hybrids taillight on the truck lid is white/clear. But, your brake light bulbs should still be where the video shows them. If one of your brake lights work, have somebody sit in the car and press the brake pedal while you stand behind the car and see what bulb lights up. That will tell you where the brake light bulbs are.

      @@dwcoffey it is a hybrid. I'll take a look for that, thank you!

      @@dwcoffey turns out it is a different trim and it didn't have a bulb in that spot at all.
      It's a LED array I suspect is built in but you have to remove the whole thing to find out unless someone had the factory service manuals.
      So, your video is mostly complete

    10-11 doesnt have a bulb for brake lights it's a led housing you'd have to replace the whole led housing if the lights went out 😭

      Thanks! I see that now...only the reverse, tag, and turn signal lights are traditional bulbs, the taillights are LED. Well....the good news is, that unless there's some damage, the tailights should not have to be replaced. LEDs should last for the life of the car. Thanks for watching and thanks for the heads-up!
