She was one of the greatest classical dancer in the history and has knowledge about several art forms, Vyajanthimalaji portrayed her very beautifully.....hats off !!
Bhanu Uthaiya costume director specially visited Ajanta for costume. Shankar Jaikishan used least intrument for song but Lata Didi did magic with music with her God gifted voice.this film is financially not great hit but awesome film to watch for Ancient golden history of Magadha dynasty.

Very difficult composition...but for the Emperor of Music Shankar Jaikishan..it was their forte to create different music from the others ...nobody can come near to them ...all Singers were awe of their music composition...most hits of Lataji , Rafi saab, Mukesh are under SJ music...they have taken Indian music access the border ...even today in Hollywood..their music are used ..

True. SJ had always been criticised as crass for relying too much on western music n being western. But with Basant Bahar, they just kicked off this blemish. Actually, SJ took it as a challenge upon themselves to prove everyone wrong. And from then on, the sun shone more brightly.
