It is amazing nice how well you go through all the gadget / fob, etc. mechanics of each manufacturer’s products, (something most of them are loathe to do or even think of)? Knowing a rider is out of luck if the ignition receiver goes out, (with no alternative), is something to consider, (thumbs up for mentioning it). Traction control info was great to know for a potential buyer, (thanks again)! Very fair & honest personal appraisals for this unit. Thank you, Rola (Oregon / USA).

Great review. Once scooters get to a certain size you begin to loose the benefits of a scooter and take on some of the disadvantages of a bike , lack of storage, excess weight , oily, messy chain. Possibly 350/400 cc singles are the optimum size if you want a big scooter. Nice looks though and very comfy. Thanks.

yeah..i totally agree with you about the keys not turning on the scooter, this isn't a nitpick, this is a valid problem that they havent fixed yet...it happens that im in search of a brand new scooter and during my search (since my good old kymco people gti 300 is slowly dying) and i specify that unless the keys start the bike not to show me keyless stuff since one of my coworkers had what you said happen to him and was freaking stuck in the middle of nowhere at 2am and had to wait anothet 1and a half hour for the truck to take the bike for service

The system that is on the new Joyride is full keyless but with a back-up key. It's a combination of the system on the JetX and the one on the Maxsym. I hope SYM starts using this system on all of it's models.

@@RideWithAlex the US is big and 2 wheels aren't too popular there to begin with, Americans would be very unlikely to consider a scooter when a lot of them spend a lot of time on the highway just to commute to work! so it kinda just is a bad market to put resources into when more urban countries exist.

This cannot be true. I have the 2023 version you cannot go more than 200 before fuel gauge lights up and then you need to refuel. It has a fuel tank of 12 litres and uses around 5.5 - 6 liters per 100 km... that is the only bad thing about this scooter / bike. Everything else is great

If you plan on selling it 1 year later I don't recommend buying new. New is for people that can afford the initial depreciation hit or for people who plan on holding on to it for at least 2-3 years. And that goes for any scooter/motorcycle from any manufacturer.
