Antonio, very nice video. Short and to the point. You should be making the tech training videos for DTV. This is the best video I have seen demonstrating the use of the AIM meter.

I have seen error 48 (home network interference problem) but not error code 40...at least not on mini genies, sorry... How did you get that code if I may ask? check this error code table... www.dbstalk.com/community/index.php?threads/diagnostic-error-codes-solutions.158193/ We get error 48 when either the home run, or the line from the splitter to the mini are faulty, old, chewed up by squirrels, etc. we also get error code 48 if the connectors (fittings) are old, rusty, or just plain bad... that error 48 appears on the screen of the mini when trying to activate them, after you enter the pin from the genie, and then is says verifying... and then it gives you the error code... the solution is to re-run the lines (home run, and mini genie line) ar... at the very least, change the connectors and inspect that the cable is RG6 (not RG59), there are no second and/or third splitters on the line, approved barrels on the wall-plate, and also check that you have a green light on the ginie mini... I hope it helps.

So, if you get the X instead of the Check, the LNB is bad? Not just pointed incorrectly?
