The PL42 sightings may become rare in the future as NJT has said that they will retire 23 of the 33 units in service with plans to replace them with ALP45DP units. Another great video Tim.

I helped build NJT Locomotives 4001 thru 4031 at the ALSTOM plant in Hornell NY back 2004 to 2005.

To get to Ramsey ,you went Jamaica. > Penn > NJ transit to Secaucus Jct > Ramsey?
On the way out I went LIRR to Penn, subway to 4th street, PATH to Hoboken, NJT to Ramsey. I went back the way you noted.

The older power should be around 3-4 more years. Hopefully you can come sooner than 2023. 2022 seems possible.
