@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack If you ever come, definitely stop at the Heavy Metal Shop in Salt Lake. It’s a small shop, but you can find some cool shirts, stickers, pins and patches, I definitely recommend purchasing a Heavy Metal Shop shirt, and the owner’s also a pretty cool guy
Finding a Boys 2 Men CD in a Guns n Roses case reminds me of the time I found a used copy of Slowly We Rot (at a music store in a different country that doesn't sell used CDs) and found a Lighthouse Family CD inside when I got home. That was largely disappointing.
I love going to record shops and stores like FYE that sell music, unfortunately for me since moving to Louisiana, as far as I know if I want to get music in person or see a concert I have to take a 2 hour trip to either Lafayette or New Orleans.
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack One other thing…your cd buying habits are pretty much exactly like mine. I thought I was alone in this world, now I know I’m not.
Once when I went to goodwill I managed to find a bunch of metal CDs all at once darkthrone, testament, savatage, garage inc by Metallica, overkill, alestorm I guess someone was getting rid of their collection but good for me
I literally bought FORE on vinyl by Huey Lewis last week just because of American Psycho references. Now it's time to have some guests over. I might as well buy an axe and raincoat.
There is a small "record shop" in my town, but in terms of rock and metal, it most of the time sticks to popular bands like Kat, Nocny Kochanek, Rammstein, AC/DC, Metallica. Like ok, I can get Exodus on the website of that store, but I wish I could just walk into the store, pick up some Death or Megadeth and walk out. Also, I wish I had a Megadeth CD that isn't a remaster. I accidentally bought the remaster of So Far So Good So What (my first bought CD) and now I'm a bit disappointed
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack now that you replied, I checked the website and it turns out they have non remasters of Megadeth I should see what they have in the shop, maybe I won't be disappointed this time, although I will be disappointed if I see no Persona Non Grata this shop sells sealed cds
Unfortunately, my city only has a Rasputins/Mad Monk. The selection is limited and sometimes poorly sorted (For some reason Megadeth and Metallica are labeled rock while Slayer, Volbeat, and Exodus are Heavy Metal.) I mainly have to shop online cause they rarely have what I want, including new releases, and a ten minute drive there just isn't worth it. We used to have a FYE but they closed down and now it's a fucking furniture store. I love cd shopping but both the selection and order is shit. They take in used CDs as well which vary in quality. I got Far Beyond Driven there and it was scratched as hell (why the fuck did they even sell it?). Long rant aside, I still love/hate tracking down rare CDs and stumbling across random Metal acts I've never heard of before. Its how I discovered Havok, Warbringer, and even Decide.
There’s not really any good used media stores in my area. There’s one but it’s mostly books and the music section has almost no metal music and not much rock.
Technically McKays is more of a book store, but the CD selection is still huge. It’s about 40 minutes from my house though. You gotta travel for stuff like this
75% of it will be bumping into rude people and trying to get around people and their ugly children talking to others blocking the aisles and making noises
Do you have a social media or a place to get in contact? I’m always sending out CDs and I’d love to send some your way, especially if you’d enjoy some CDs I’m personally putting out / my friends

Im moving from FL to NC later this year for school so this is nice to see lol
From very hot, to just hot. Haha! Good luck on the move
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Yeah exactly lol, thank you sm!
You should definitely do a series of videos where you just go thriefing for music
Ah man I used to love going to the old other location of this one until it shut down a few years ago. was very sad
I know there used to be one in Fayetteville
I love my record store more than most things.
Me too. I hate shopping, but for music I’ll spend hours browsing
Cool video, haven't been there in a while. I plan on stopping there otw to see Nile next week!
Cool!
My Morning Jacket is great!
Got a McKay's in Nashville looking for cds is a pain so disorganized
I believe it
Love these videos, sadly we don't have these stores in Czech Republic that much :D
Man I wish there was something like this in my area 😩
I really want to start purchasing CDs for my own collection. There’s a record store up in salt lake called Randy’s Records and I’m gonna talk to my dad and see if we can stop there next time we head up to salt lake
Never been to Utah!
Aw man!
Hey Killbot. I know that you have moved on from vinyl, but I was just curious if you ever hit up Hippo Records in your collecting days?
Hippo Records is fucking awesome
Do they really put stickers on the cases? I can understand it’s alright for the clam shell, but the paper cases…god…
Fortunately, the stickers come off easily. They’re not like the ones where residue is left behind
I love going to record shops and stores like FYE that sell music, unfortunately for me since moving to Louisiana, as far as I know if I want to get music in person or see a concert I have to take a 2 hour trip to either Lafayette or New Orleans.
That’s the bitch, isn’t it?
Here we are🤘🏼 waiting for long day, hmm walk on home.. boi
I’m late to commenting here. I too was on the search for the og megadeth. Finally completed with RIP in Feb. It was well worth the work.
Totally worth it
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack One other thing…your cd buying habits are pretty much exactly like mine. I thought I was alone in this world, now I know I’m not.
Bookman's in Phoenix is a nice place.
Do you have any other recommendations for record stores in NC?
There’s a really good one in Greensboro called Hippo Records, records only. There’s also Lunchbox Records in Charlotte
Once when I went to goodwill I managed to find a bunch of metal CDs all at once darkthrone, testament, savatage, garage inc by Metallica, overkill, alestorm I guess someone was getting rid of their collection but good for me
Their loss, your gain!
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Exactly!
It’s my favorite
This video spoke to me
Hey now Boyz II Men is some state of the art death/thrash with bagpipes.
BRO i got a mckays and it's my favorite store ever easily.
I literally bought FORE on vinyl by Huey Lewis last week just because of American Psycho references. Now it's time to have some guests over. I might as well buy an axe and raincoat.
Do you have a dog? A little poochie running around?
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack No, Allen
Bro I wanna go to this place!
I loved the American Psycho reference 😆
“Don’t just stare at it, eat it!”
3:36 omfg, to your left there was a disco volante cd by mr bungle
Pretty common in used sections…

There is a small "record shop" in my town, but in terms of rock and metal, it most of the time sticks to popular bands like Kat, Nocny Kochanek, Rammstein, AC/DC, Metallica. Like ok, I can get Exodus on the website of that store, but I wish I could just walk into the store, pick up some Death or Megadeth and walk out. Also, I wish I had a Megadeth CD that isn't a remaster. I accidentally bought the remaster of So Far So Good So What (my first bought CD) and now I'm a bit disappointed
It’s a slow process, finding and buying them all
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack now that you replied, I checked the website and it turns out they have non remasters of Megadeth
I should see what they have in the shop, maybe I won't be disappointed this time, although I will be disappointed if I see no Persona Non Grata
this shop sells sealed cds
PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON CATALOGUING CDS AND RECORDS PLS PLS TONY
Holy fuck I have McKay’s in VA too
Oh cool!
There’s not really any good used media stores in my area. There’s one but it’s mostly books and the music section has almost no metal music and not much rock.
Technically McKays is more of a book store, but the CD selection is still huge. It’s about 40 minutes from my house though. You gotta travel for stuff like this
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Indeed.
I’m a metalhead but I ain’t gonna lie I love boyz ll men 😭
Why can't I find something similiar in Italy? Come oooooooooonnnnnnn
watchmaker fucking rules
Shopping video at Walmart next
75% of it will be bumping into rude people and trying to get around people and their ugly children talking to others blocking the aisles and making noises
How is everything so cheap?
Круто! 👍
Do you have a social media or a place to get in contact? I’m always sending out CDs and I’d love to send some your way, especially if you’d enjoy some CDs I’m personally putting out / my friends
In my description, I have links to my Instagram and Facebook pages! Messages welcome

Did see some ANS in there
