    This video is what inspired me to travel to Spain! Bilbao was my favorite country to visit! I enjoyed Bilbao more than Barcelona and Madrid...maybe because I went in November? Bilbao is scenic, peaceful, charming, historic, it’s just great!

    A perfect city for three days, mixing quality of life in Northern Europe and the excellent cuisine, very friendly people and life on the streets of the South.
    And indeed a stunning coastline not to be missed 30 minutes: the entire stretch between Bakio-Gaztelugatxe to Elantxobe, a mixture of cliffs, beautiful beaches and small harbors, as Mundaka.

      if your dark skin donte . the bask countrey is the most racis place in europe. people are so racist that you might be denied entry in many bars the people of the north are shits but especialy those who live in the bask countrey are evil

    • @ashkanahmadi
      @ashkanahmadi 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      rejecting racists uummm I'm not sure how much that is true but no I don't have dark skin!! I can also speak basic Spanish so I wouldn't be a total outsider!! thanks for the heads up :)

    • @rejectingracists6637
      @rejectingracists6637 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ashkan Ahmadi you can do that but i think places with high percentage of racism should be exposed to the world. spain is sold as amasing for tourists but the reality is that they are the most nazis of europe and specially the bask residents who are mostly spanish. But as always when you look like a tourist it ll be different. last week i was there and i was attacked verbally more tan twice. the pólice in Bilbao are racists too, por dark skin people. as a tourist enjoy your time there

    I prefer Bilbao to San Sebastián, I think. The latter is overrated, based on its magical setting. The city itself is just a bunch of unprepossessing apartment blocks, save for the two and a half streets and Plaza Consti. that make up the jejune Old Town. Bilbao has more heft, and it’s (also small) old core is more appealing. I have always been of the opinion, against the overwhelming tide of favourable opinion, that if you picked up San Sebastián and plonked it down 200 miles inland, it would be what it is: a rather nondescript, faceless city architecturally. San Sebastián is a city saved by its setting. Best Basque city of all, in my opinion, is the not-on-the-radar Vitoria. It’s a glorious old unspoiled ensemble with a couple of world-class plazas.

      @@lohovi6571 because its simply not spain. Basques are semi-independent of spain nowadays and they ve been fully independent until the 19th century. So its normal that they dont consider themselves spaniards

    I think Bilbao is very overrated. The museum from the outside is art, the inside is a total letdown.
    They have a lovely river and its not used like it is in London, Every cafe sell pixto, but there is only so much bread you can eat before you a normal meal which is hard to find at a reasonable cost. Soon as you head out of town it is empty everywhere.
    I loved the metro and the bust station, But the rest lacked any real vibe, Wish I had stayed in San Sebastián and made a day visit to Bilbao.

    To say we have this which is the "best in the world" and to say that "is the best in the world" is so pretentious and only shows that people who say those things know little about the rest of the world. especially spaniards tend to say this all the time.

    Not my favourite Spanish city, with it's dreadful weather, mostly unatractive architecture and an annoying minority (not even a 10%) of radical nationalist people with their absurd, invented and unrealistic ideas, but I do appreciate the improvement in architecture in the last 15 years and the tasty Spanish cuisine. What a gorgeous and diverse country Spain.
