I remember when I was like 12 and my little cousin use to have the yellow version and it was the first my time playing a Pokemon game, but one day I stayed playing it until I realise it was like 2am and I got to the lavander town ,the music gave the creeps. For all the people saying the one from the 'beta' is fake, I just wanted to ask how the video maker was able to show what seems like clear gameplay with the track(which also cuts pretty accurately with changes in scene). Is there any editing technique that can overlay a track and keep sounds like bumping into objects and from talking to people properly playing? I'm genuinely asking because IMO despite the high frequencies the 'beta' version sounds like it's trying too hard to be foreboding to me-Its possible it was removed because it was doing so and what we're hearing in lavender town was played in the beginning(given that the creepypasta says most affected children were affected far before they got to Lavender town pretty much in the beginning of the game) I don't want to say I believe in the stories but I do want to make sure I explore all possibilities while regarding them as improbable with the required skepticism before dismissing them if so is appropriate. I also think I agree with those saying that the sounds of the first track seem too complex to be produced by the Gameboy which is what prompted me to ask this question in the first place.

I think that is the frequency being to high for older people to hear. Because if you google up a hearing test on the youtubes. You will find that they play frequency and once it's to high you can't hear it anymore and turns into static... :) This is where the creepy pasta came from, like children committing suicide because they couldn't handle the music. i have a theory, cubone's sadness of losing his mother is what causes the sad music in red/blue and firered/leafgreen it takes cubone a while to get over it but after about 3 years cubone feels better about it and the mood of the whole town shifts, that explains why in gold/silver and heartgold/soulsilver the song is more upbeat and happy

+Nihilfist I actually edited a cartridge and placed the sound file into my GB, The GB does have enough sound channels, however, it is so resource intensive it causes major glitches similarly to using a minecraft world on a full harddrive. Stuff fails to load, etc. However, the audio file was cut down slightly and actually is in the final version of red/green in japan only.

The thing that plays in the beginning is a 16-part harmony and a bass track, so eighteen channels required counting the noise channel. Thank you for clearing that up.

+Nihilfist I actually edited a cartridge and placed the sound file into my GB, The GB does have enough sound channels, however, it is so resource intensive it causes major glitches similarly to using a minecraft world on a full harddrive. Stuff fails to load, etc. However, the audio file was cut down slightly and actually is in the final version of red/green in japan only.

The thing that plays in the beginning is a 16-part harmony and a bass track, so eighteen channels required counting the noise channel. Thank you for clearing that up.
