PLEASE READ!!! Hello wonderful people, we're back with another new video, this time featuring Lunalight Tearlaments! This video showcases a variety of duels against some of the best decks over the last 2 months or so, all coming from Bedorocksf, the Lunalight/Tearlaments/Rikka helper on the Master Duel Meta Discord server. He gave me permission to showcase these duels and offer this as a reference point to anyone who would like to learn this variant. Some of these duels don't use the exact decklist shown in the intro but for the most part, it is very much the same. A lot of my understanding outside of playtesting and looking at general Tearlaments VODs comes from Bedo's replays so I really appreciate him allowing me to share his duels for you all. If you are looking for further guidance after this video, you can find Bedo or myself among other amazing Luna Tear players (better than me) in the Master Duel Meta discord. Bedo's August M1 List: www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/master-i/august-2024/tearlaments/bedorocksf/rKAhb Bedo's Master Duel Player ID: 343-646-851 (features all the duels shown here if you'd like to review them in game) Anyways, hope you all enjoy the video! LUNALIGHTS BEST DECK!!
It's realy nice watching someone piloting this variant to this level. I also played this variant after watching Bedo. But punching for game with Leo Dancer is still my favorite 😍 LUNALIGHTS BEST DECK!
@@Azalaine I will never not enjoying punching someone in the face using Leo Dancer for she is the best. But Luna Tear is my second favorite variant lol.
Needed some content before the end of the month but also wanted to do this since lots of people are picking up Tearlaments due to Jesse Kotton's showing at Worlds but we're showing a cooler version of it with Lunalights.
These duels are awesome. Kudos to Bedrocksf for that piloting skill. A lot of the replays remind me of old tear format (cursed, I know); but I enjoyed the back and forth of those duels, despite them being exhausting at times. Alright, now to call you a meta slave. I can't read that these games aren't yours, but you're probably bad at deck building and playing. L player :^)
Yeah watching these replays and a lot of his other ones, it's a lot of skill expression and reminds me of full power Tear, always having interactions for your every move. It's an interesting deck now that I've committed time to playing it. I might be a Luna Tear player but at least I have friends :(
I know Fairy Tail Snow is a very flexible card due to it not being OTP but I’ll always be surprised/amused on how many cards Tear players will banish just to use Snow for something (even in vain) I do wonder what will happen to Tearlaments if Kitkallos gets banned in Master Duel…
I get how tear can be a good engine to use as I decided to use Kash to boost my red eyes deck until flame swordsman support drops to MD although I was heavily against the idea at first, but this looks more so like tear with luna engine. To each their own of course as I am in no position to tell anyone how they should build/play their deck, however the reason why I really like your decklist is because although you use tear engine you still keep lunalights as the main focus of the deck.
"but this looks more so like tear with luna engine" - That's the point, whether one would like it or not. Most variants of Lunalights are X with Luna engine rather than the opposite. I'm confused as to why people seem to want to address this now when even last video, I played the same deck. It's the most competitive variant of Lunalight. I've played it in other videos. It's fun, I enjoy it, it's my second most played deck. I think people should get to see it in action. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it.
Finally a based tiarament list Looks a lot like mine but I prefer more board breakers and thrust over 3 talents and griefs Why aren't you running destrudo/clown/shaddoll beast? If you're not gambling, are you really playing tear? 🎲🎲🎲
You posted your comment before mine but this isn't my list, nor my duels, it's another player in the video. I just replicated his list in the intro for visual reference. That said, my list isn't too far off from his, though I haven't like done much editing to it for a while since I've been playing pure and the Luna Lightsworn deck I made. His logic if I am quoting him correctly is to max out on Tear's good starters and psuedo starters for like a consistently smooth deck which I personally like a lot. Breakers are a good call for the current format, not sure about Thrust but if you're on a different variety of breakers, I suppose it's fine. My normal Tear list runs the normal tech though like Destrudo/Beast/etc. I don't find the clown to be that necessary given the Luna engine but it's not terrible either. I do be anti-Winda lol maybe I don't like gambling THAT much.
I don't run three thrusts, I usually run 1-2 instead of more copies of talents. My logic is that a thrust can turn into anything I need at the time, even a talents. Plus it's live if you get Maxx C'd in the draw/stand-by phase. I like searching for evenly because Yubel/SEFK generally don't have an out for it. But usually I just search talents, talents makes thrust so much better.
@@owo2312 Evenly just becomes so worthless vs Yubel once the Rank 10 Omni drops that I guess it's just better to play through their boards but idk, haven't been tackling Yubel with Luna Tear to say. Talents off Thrust can be nasty, wins a lot of games on its own.
Trust me, evenly is first on the chopping block, of all the cards in my deck it's the least valuable. Even without the omni Yubel can play around it by going into Appo with I:P/unchained trap/Iblee/Spright Carrot... I forgot to mention this earlier; I run shaddoll beast just for flexing my alt-art Winda. But tbh I summon her once every 20 games and she's rarely that impactful.
@@owo2312 Yeah Evenly gets shrugged off now, it will get laughed at later. Yubel is such a stupid deck. And fair enough but that's the reason I don't like Winda, doesn't come up enough to matter unless you wanna run a bigger Shaddoll package which I do not.
@@sofienelounas4802 Early consideration is Zephyros but wanna playtest before anything for Luna Tear. For pure, I was on 41 so this just makes it 40 for me now.
Not a fan of this decklist, I understand the use of tearlaments for a competitive environment but these games are just tearlaments gameplay, barely using lunalight to make rank 4's
That's fine but that's what Luna Tear is and has always been. Of course you can slot in a bigger package of Lunalight cards but maintaining a concise build while having a good percentage of consistency is a lot to ask for while slotting in non-engine as well. This decklist and Luna Tear in general is really trying to maximize the Luna cards in a competitive setting which is fine and I want to showcase that to those who want to try it out for themselves. I do not and will not shun Lunalight variants just cause they are not using the fusions or are minimally using the engine because it is important for me to highlight all the different types of things the cards can be used for. At the end of the day, I mainly play pure Lunas but Luna Tear is my personal second most played variant in MD and will probably remain that way unless Konami hits Tear more.
@@TrunksStrife I just genuinely disagree. Lunalights in their most competitive historical usage has been a Rank 4/link climbing engine. Orcust, Raidraptor, Tearlaments, Tri-Brigade, etc. Would I enjoy it to find a way to be fleshed out with support to stray away from that or be its own deck? Of course, I mainly play pure but I won't deny what is just the deck's significant/defining contribution to the game. I just want to showcase every side of the deck, whether I like it or not. I've played Luna Tear on the channel myself plenty of times, it's a fun deck and super cool.
