Please please please! Do another play through. I binged watched your Carthage series and loved it. I would love to see you get back on that train and make another one. Maybe one off the beaten bath, a barbarian faction or someone like Kush would be awesome! Love the videos!!
It's actually a pretty hard start as the Boii. You have to assault two or even three major settlements (Sweboz, Leugoz, and Norii, who most often renege on their treaties declare war on you). I find a good strategy is to rush the Sweboz by turn 2 or 3 while appeasing the Leugoz. Complete the conquest of Suebia and then Magna Germania, then complete Hercynia. After this counter-clockwise expansion, you have a very solid position. Also, those "Early Boii Medium Swordsmen" are very, very good. They don't have Armour Penetration, but are the only early game pop2 unit with 30 Base + 2 AP + 2 Infantry Bonus (Total 34 damage) which is amazing against lightly armored Germanic units that you will face off against in the early game. By the mid-game they become the "Late Boii Heavy Swordsmen" which is yet another amazing unit, as you correctly pointed out. Not to mention they both have really high Melee Attack at 15 which can easily reach 25 to 30 with the right Army Traditions and General Skills.
Empire maintenance is never a problem late game, just pop some general governors down early game and just let them gain xp through the whole game, once you hit about 80-90 percent EM use all the skill points you have saved up on the lower EM skills, one level four general can get EN down to 6 percent. Always wait until the EM is pretty high before you start lowering it because it’s a percentage based, so if you start lower it at around 50 percent EM the skill that lowers 2 percent EM will only lower one percent in reality. The empire governing type is the best for late game, the increase party loyalty and 2 more edicts are worth it. Plus it’s always nice to create a empire when you have painted half the map
I usually take out the little german faction that owns the last part of your province to get a united province + leather resource. They also usually end up at war with the Cherusci, who then become your only german friends. Biggest issue is dealing with suprise war declaration from Leugoz, who go straight for your gold province the first chance they get.
I'm leaving this here to see if I can't get a response but is the unique populations techs for massilia not a thing anymore because I played the Antigonids, and they literally have the same population techs.
Visited Boiodurum (Boiotro) today, a roman castellum in Passau which is probably named after boii auxiliary troops or the former inhabitants. Boii have a nice starting position along the danube, you can go in any direction and inhabit the heart of Europe.
IT is indeed Hard with the Boys...but yday played as Colchis and OMG the Caucasian factions are kinda left behind form DEI team and is rly hard to play with them :P

Nice to see a stronger celtic faction start position, as for example Scordisci can be quite feeble a bit south - southeast
I agree! It’s nice to see them not be so desperate. Not super safe but definitely more potential with them
Scordisci is a pain but it arguably has the second best hoplites next to Carthage

I think the Kimbroz have access to a pop2 heavy sword unit of the same weapon damage, without any reforms.
@@cerdic6586 that has been changed to pop1 now.
My general skills are usually all used up for less empire maintainance, less upkeep and more movement
Bro where you at

I miss you
Can you do like some general DEI content. Like that mercenary or AoR units.
That’s the plan, there is just SO many units that it’s hard to narrow down. I have already done a AoR guide though 👍
Good afternoon. For some reason, I do not have all the factions in the company open that you have. Does anyone know the reason?
Why I can't play other faction? Can anyone help me
