      It's easy to miss if you're unaware how wild it is.

    Makes me want a Chance Yo-Yo in my backyard! You can also manipulate the swings to maximize the “in-out” motion coordinated with the “up-down” tilt to really get that Flying Scooter feel. Feels borderline dangerous but if it’s not I hope they never change it.

      @CanobieCoaster  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've inadvertently done that while leaning backwards to avoid another swing.

    This is the only ride at Indiana Beach that made me scream in terror in a good way.
    Going backwards and feeling like you are going to fall out yet you don't and the view of it all, it is so exhilarating.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It honestly may be the scariest ride there.

    Canobie Coaster said:
    The cycle duration is solid, not too long, not too short. It almost seems like the operator will slow the ride down once the swings start getting a bit too wild.
    Imagine saying:
    pretty wild
    quite wild
    very wild
    a bit too wild
    Those three terms mean they are wild, but I think there are differences between them. What are? What do you think?
    Canobie Coaster would say:
    A) Pretty wild crosses beyond the threshold what should be the proper cycle.
    B) Quite wild crosses beyond the threshold what should be the proper cycle.
    C) Very wild crosses beyond the threshold what should be the proper cycle.
    D) A bit too wild crosses beyond the threshold what should be the proper cycle.

    It's only cause of the right people such as yourself telling me not to miss it that I rode this ride on my second IB visit whereas I purposely skipped it on my fist. The reason was that I initially presumed it was just another yoyo or wave swinger which I find so boring. Ok, the Orlando star flyer terrified me. I didn't vocalise or shut my eyes, but I was sort of just frozen there till we started coming down. It did not help that it wasn't a very calm day either. OTOH, Water Swings did NOT terrify me or even scare me a little, but it really was fun. It kind of reminded me with the weird motion in the video (and we got heaps of it) of the Tampico Tumbler (RIP, loved that ride) but also nothing like it LOL. I can't get anywhere near a 10, as even Cornball express didn't get a 10 from me and I spent most of the day on that and Lost Coaster (about a 7, a 9 many years back without such a forceful trim, Cornball was an 8, Hoosier a 2) which I preferred riding to this. So I'm gonna go about a 7. Also, I am tall, so had to be very careful with the swing in front, and I do warn other tall riders about that, to watch their legs.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Even shorter guests have to watch their legs on this. The swings have a mind of their own.

    Michigan's Adventure has one of these Trapeze Swings by Chance Rides. If they could get this over the water and have a bridge to make everything closer to that darn pond, they could kill two birds with one stone here.

    I went to Indiana Beach for the first time today. I thought at first this video was hyperbolic but I TOTALLY get it now. It truly does feel like you're about to get yanked and yeeted right into the lake when this thing hits its max speed.

    I never thought much of the 'Yo Yo' version of swing rides; I always felt the traditional Waveswinger (with its rotating center) made for a more pleasing ride. Perhaps I need to rethink this notion.
