Glad you have a warm, dry, safe home to live in. People who've never been homeless simply can't truly appreciate the beauty of laying down in a supportive, comfortable warm bed on a cold, rainy night in a home where you are safe and have access to a toilet and running water should you need it in the middle of the night. I'm guessing you really savored the good fortune you had in finding this home and being able to purchase and furnish it. That must be a wonderful feeling to start 2024 with safety, security, and stability. Congratulations~

Please be careful climbing that attic ladder…my brother fell and broke his leg and collarbone! Aren’t I just the bearer of happy news! 😂 Have a wonderful 2024! ❤️💙🐾🐕🐾🥰

Don't hurt yourself Jamie. I was scared for you when pushing the Christmas tree into the attic and you're on the ladder and you have the camera in your other hand. ❤
I used a kindling splitter like that for years in Colorado. Loved it, and it's really good for getting rid of stress/anger/frustration! I had to leave it behind when I retired back to UK recently, but ordered myself another one in UK, to use when I find a house. Mine was screwed onto a big cut tree trunk for stability and a little height. One of my favourite tools, and made cutting kildling easy, even for this old lady. Think mine was a little bigger, but same design.
It is amazing to me how much rain you get there, Jaime. Our rainy season is ending here in a couple of months then dry until the fall. Glad you two had Happy Holidays. 🥰🐕💕
Jamie. Sorry for the long post ;) have a search on the tube of U, there are ways to turn cardboard boxes into fire logs / bricks for a log burner. with the cupboard in the van, I wonder if you could make a wedge shape (frame?) that would then allow you to fix it to the side where you want it. that kindling maker, to keep it 'portable' you could screw it to a large piece of wood board. that would make it sable but also you can move it/put it away when hot in use. just a heads up, those glitter presents, you might want to pop them into black bags too, glittered things are near on impossible to dust whilst your hair is the length you like (sides and back) you could see which attachment is the right one to give yourself a trim If you wanted that wreath on the door you could try those command strips hook things or better, the hooks with chains/strings that just slip over the top of the doors and you hang the wreath from them. no need to make holes in door for hooks and would also work on that glass door if you wanted. I Know you love Xmas but you can also get wreaths for almost any times of year too. the rain is just the 'old gods' washing away 2023 (OK, maybe with a few extra rinses LOL) and we get Sherpa running around in his garden with you at the end chasing treats (well, that is what I think he is dreaming about)
Knew I missed something (sorry). laundry, get yourself a spin dryer. mine is a White Knight one (gravity drain - just means the water drains out the spout on the front, either into a drain or into a bowl, water can be used to water garden etc.) and spins 2800 rpm, a LOT faster than a washing machine spin cycle, gets most things 99% dry so they take a lot less time to dry, also on the line in summer. I use a dehumidifier with laundry setting in winter, or rainy days LOL, as sadly don't have a log burner
Suggestion buy large container, bubble wrap. Put layer of bubble wrap on bottom of container. Lay ornaments on bottom of container, put double layer of bubble wrap on top of ornaments, repeat until container full.
I love watching Sherpa watching you Jamie. It is so darn cute. I love having Christmas decorations up. Since the Wisemen are part of the Christmas story , I leave my decorations up until 1/7. That's the day after the Feast of the Epiphany. That allows me to enjoy them a little longer. Happy New Year to you both. AM❤
We miss you so much Sherpa 😢

Don't hurt yourself Jamie. I was scared for you when pushing the Christmas tree into the attic and you're on the ladder and you have the camera in your other hand. ❤
I was too! My brother did the same thing and ended up falling. He broke his leg and his collar bone!
@@sandyaw3057 oh gosh. Yeah that's what I was afraid of!
Hope you have a wonderful 2024 love you guys enjoy your weekend 💕💕
Hi 👋 Jamie hi 👋 Sherpa hope your having a wonderful day ❤❤❤❤
Hope you are too 😊
You have a lovely home. Am very happy for you and Sherpa
My mom 89 keeps her tree up until March.😊
It is amazing to me how much rain you get there, Jaime. Our rainy season is ending here in a couple of months then dry until the fall. Glad you two had Happy Holidays. 🥰🐕💕
Seasonal outfits for the door stops ❤PRICELESS , how thoughtful Keitha
Such a good boy!
Jamie. Sorry for the long post ;)
have a search on the tube of U, there are ways to turn cardboard boxes into fire logs / bricks for a log burner.
with the cupboard in the van, I wonder if you could make a wedge shape (frame?) that would then allow you to fix it to the side where you want it.
that kindling maker, to keep it 'portable' you could screw it to a large piece of wood board. that would make it sable but also you can move it/put it away when hot in use.
just a heads up, those glitter presents, you might want to pop them into black bags too, glittered things are near on impossible to dust
whilst your hair is the length you like (sides and back) you could see which attachment is the right one to give yourself a trim
If you wanted that wreath on the door you could try those command strips hook things or better, the hooks with chains/strings that just slip over the top of the doors and you hang the wreath from them. no need to make holes in door for hooks and would also work on that glass door if you wanted. I Know you love Xmas but you can also get wreaths for almost any times of year too.
the rain is just the 'old gods' washing away 2023 (OK, maybe with a few extra rinses LOL)
and we get Sherpa running around in his garden with you at the end chasing treats (well, that is what I think he is dreaming about)
Knew I missed something (sorry). laundry, get yourself a spin dryer. mine is a White Knight one (gravity drain - just means the water drains out the spout on the front, either into a drain or into a bowl, water can be used to water garden etc.) and spins 2800 rpm, a LOT faster than a washing machine spin cycle, gets most things 99% dry so they take a lot less time to dry, also on the line in summer. I use a dehumidifier with laundry setting in winter, or rainy days LOL, as sadly don't have a log burner
It's quite lovely, Jamie..thank you for sharing!
AM❤
So nice to see Jamie truly enjoying his new home! Looks so contented and happy! Good for you!
Hi Jamie. May I suggest both a smoke and carbon monoxide detector and 2 extinguishers?
What about a daybed in that room? They look great, and it can be a seat as well as a bed?
I sure fell in love with Sherpa ❤😢
Those outfits for the little doorstops look like fancy ones for the New Year. So cute!
