What freaks me out about flooding in Florida is the potential for gators, snakes, etc. to be floating down your street!
Yikes. I didn’t think of that.
Yes! During one of our storms years ago some alligators escaped from Gatorland due to flooding.
@@GlamourGirl1045 Lord have mercy!!
Sewer water
As a New Orleans native this is a regular drill. Take everything outdoors and move to indoors. Clean bathtubs and fill with water so that you have water to flush the toilets. Pickup bread , peanut butter and snacks our power is also underground but we still lose power ( we suspect they shut it down to protect the grid). If you can put both cars in the garage, something as simple as my neighbors siding damaged the paint on my car in a category 1 ( Ida). Praying for Florida❤
fill up ziplock bags with water and lay them flat in freezer to insulate food so it stays longer if you do lose power
It’s not THAT the wind will be blowing, but WHAT the wind will be blowing. Maybe get your patio furniture inside?
Hi Kyle, I’m a loss adjuster specialising in hurricanes. Document all damage in photos if you have it and check with your insurance provider before removing anything that they are happy for items to be removed. Provide quotes from at least 2 companies for any damage. Stay safe
I’ve never experienced a hurricane before but I can imagine it is crazy not knowing what is going to happen over the next few days. Stay safe everyone in Florida!
Absolutely! What great advice
I am a Floridian. I have lived through hurricane Andrew. Get hurricane shutters when you can. A whole house generator when you can. Get non perishables, water, flashlights, batteries. Prepare as much as you can and pray. Do everything you can do. Your life is the most important thing. My son just lost his home with hurricane Helene. But I still have him. Everything can be replaced except a life. Be safe, have cash on hand, that is all you can do.
Prayers for all of Florida residents. Don't panic. Everything will be alright.
Take pictures of everything inside and outside. They won’t just believe you.
I've been through 50 or so named storms. After a while you learn to do what you can, not freak out, and deal with whatever aftermath there is. Doing a ton of worrying or stressing out really doesn't accomplish anything.
Hurricane Milton is looking CRAZY. Tampa and all of Florida are in our thoughts. BE SAFE!
Praying for you guys and the state of Florida! Stay safe and update us when you can!
Move your stuff to the second level and GET OUT...go North
Praying for you and all of my Tampa friends. It’s my hometown 😭good luck and keep us posted
Use a small drone to check your roof if you have acess to one stay safe.
You can also call roofing companies to come out and give you an inspection. Just get the most reputable one you can. After disasters like this they usually schedule them when they're going to be in your neighborhood so it's really no trouble for them to just hop up and give it a quick look. Reputable ones will do this.
I am praying for y’all and all of Florida!! Bring everything inside!! Love y’all
The resistance are not Jedi and they’re not Sith they are the new Republic
Brother, the house interior is coming together beautifully!!!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios don’t have a villain show. Do you know why because galaxy edge pay for money they’re not really credit. They called them Galactic credits my mom get it.
I just lived through a hurricane in Evans Georgia. The devastation is unreal! Keep safe!!
Praying for you all ❤❤❤❤❤
*I don't care for HMO's, but your HMO should have historical info to share with you.
* The owners before you, you would think would have left you with hurricane shutters or materials to protect your home, if they had issues before...
* Good filling up the cars gas!
* Fill your tubs with water, for drinking...
* The storm chasers will more than likely be around after the storm, to see if you need anything fixed, but good on you for doing recon before the storm! It is what it is...
* Pray for the best and look after your neighbors, even more so for the elderly please!
* Should always have a Go-Bag for emergencies!
God Bless!!!!
Thanks for the advice❤❤
Praying for everyone!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios don’t have a villain show. Do you know why because galaxy edge pay for money they’re not really credit. They called them Galactic credits my mom get it. that’s not the villain show that’s cars rebuild for the good guys and Kylo Ren is not a villain he’s doing business Kylo is really Sith means something else bad that means scum scum and stopping by Rey get into his head because she’s a Jedi and Jedi are scum
Hopefully you have a flood insurance policy… usually not covered at all under your homeowners policy
Praying for all of Florida stay safe Kyle. I'm worried about all the animals a TV Disney and Bush gardens
Fill your bathtub up with water. You can even fill your washer up with water as well.
The sign will probably end up at Lakeland’s Antique Mall
Sending love and prayers to everyone in the path of Milton! 🙏💜🙏
Praying for all of Florida. Stay safe.
Stay safe during the storm. I work for a utility and we are always prepared for storms. I’m quite sure Disney is as well for storm planning. The behind the scenes prep is amazing
That’s the resistance Rey team
Be cautious with the insurance. My parents lost everything in Ft Myers a couple years ago with Hurricane Ian, and even though they had hurricane insurance on top of their regular homeowners insurance, the insurance company told them that the because the damage was a result of the storm surge and flooding, nothing was covered. Wishing you all the best in this scary time and stay safe!
Get food that you can eat if the electric goes out.
The resistance are not Jedi and they’re not Sith they are the new Republic but but they versus the enemy first order who is really the Empire
For the roof. Use a drone to check and take photos of the roof. Stay safe.
Purchase a drone to inspect your roof after the storm. Good luck with everything
You need to be putting boards on your windows
Get some cash, small bills.
Deep breath. All will be fine in your area.
You need to leave out of Florida! There saying it’s a monster if your dead insurance won’t matter
Pick up everything outside that is movable
I think you should get accordion shutters. They are pricey but worth it.
How many trees do you have around your house
2 !
Panic causes people to make bad choices. Easier said than done, I know.
That's true. I'm sure he's not literally panicking. I'm sure he's just saying he has a panicky feeling but he doesn't seem like a panic-er.
Praying for Florida, Tennessee is still recovering from their hurricane issues North Carolina and South Carolina as well and Virginia praying for all the states
And GA. Many are still suffering after Debby.
Might look into getting impact windows thruout the house if you are going to stay there 5+ years. Its $$ but brings peace of mind, also look into a home generator
Morning car in the garage and one car outside the garage
I am from Sarasota and it looks like now that Sarasota is going to get hit really bad not only Tampa there are other small tit towns and cities that are going to get hit Kyle and Casey please please be careful please go somewhere safe
Will be praying for you and Casey, that the hurricane won't be to much damage there
Can i ask why didn't you stay with your parents until the hurricane passed
You should also film the entire inside of your house and its contents. Film inside the garage, closets and drawers, including in your kitchen. It all adds up to a ton of money and the insurance company won't just take your word for it if they have to replace stuff.
Good morning, stay safe
Yes to a roofer to check for damage, eventually window shutters and a generator!!
Do a time laps video out the window during the storm?
Fill your washer with ice and add drinks and/or food incase you lose power. God bless!
Being from Colorado, Hurricanes are so foreign to us - although I did ride Hugo when I worked for Royal Caribbean. We're much more used to snowstorms and tornados! Stay Safe - both of you!
Please keep us updated on what is happening
Kyle we are in Cape Coral north ft Myers line, we are praying for all of Florida .advice make sure all doors remain closed during storm to neutralize pressure in the house prayers for all of Florida. Monica and Jeff we met u on the wish. If you have shutters get them up!!
Hey, you Halloween folks get to start in August so it's only fair that us Christmas people can start in October especially since snow is in the forecast for the end of October 😂 Keeping all of you in Florida in my prayers 🙏
After the storm pushes through it's a good idea to call a reputable roofing company to come out and give your roof an inspection. They will do that at no charge. A lot of insurance companies only give you one year in some states it's too, to make a claim. Sometimes you can have damage and not know it and then a leak will show up later. So get your roof inspected afterwards.they will schedule it when they're in the neighborhood checking other peoples roofs. It's no trouble to them to come out hop up on your roof and check it over for five or 10 minutes.
sandbags by the doors . dont know how flooding is there
Don't worry about finding a roofer, they will come to you and inundate you with free inspections.
Morning Kyle,I'm praying for everyone and my family down in Central Florida!!Yall stay safe and I pray everyone is safe after all of this!!😢😢😢😢
Is Celebration HOA? If its HOA, they might have someone that will come in and do a bunch of the houses, at least thats what ive heard from family living in HOA areas. I would look into that. ask around, especially after the hurricane, don't go with anyone that says they are a roofer. Trust but verify. if someone you know in the area, maybe Adam the Woo, or someone else, maybe you can use the same guy and get a deal!
Kyle, hurricanes are scarry things for sure. Best wishes for you and Casey's safety.
Definitely prepare yourself. My cousin lives on the coast and lost everything during the last hurricane. Make sure you put stuff up high, just in case. I know you're inland but seeing that florida is mostly swamplants, I would definitely be better safe than sorry.
Yes get your roof checked after.
I'm from Québec Canada and our happy place is Siesta key we go every year. Hope Everybody's Will be safe
Casey did a great job with the kitchen table. I love the plates and the decor. ❤
She I lived in Florida, and a storm can to town we would wash and bleach the bathtub then fill it with water. In case the water wasn’t working you could use the water in the tub as you need it.
1) stay safe and big prayers from Texas 2) hi dad.
Hi Megan❤😂
Disney’s Hollywood Studios don’t have a villain show. Do you know why because galaxy edge pay for money they’re not really credit. They called them Galactic credits my mom get it. that’s not the villain show that’s cars rebuild for the good guys
Praying for everyone in the path of Milton. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Go get some sandbags look up how to set the bags properly with plastic on your doorways and especially garage, put hurricane shutters or boards and you'll be good. Definitely bring in your patio cushions/furniture.
Did you get your sandbags?
Im very concerned and I'm in the Midwest. Stay safe and dry. The house is always fixable!
I really appreciate your updates on the upcoming hurricane. I have family in Winter Park that I am concerned about. Compared to this one, I so get it with previous hurricanes and the threat level. I just went through Beryl and somehow everyone in Houston had that eerie feeling that it would be no joke and Houston was left without power for 2 week. Stay safe...
Do you have a drone? That would be worth getting to checking your roof! Better to get a roofer to see if all is good!
Be safe tomorrow/Thursday
That’s Kylo
Never too early for Christmas!!!! Disney did Halloween too early!!!
Nothing to take lightly, that's for sure! Find out what you can about your builder and then like you said with your neighbors see what they know. Also don't let CNN scare you. It's good to take precaution but CNN is probably not helpful when it comes to keeping you calm. Same with the weather station. Check out the national hurricane center online look there. I think you and Casey seem very intelligent so you should be able to interpret from that. Don't panic. But get out of there if you need to. (I am in coastal Georgia and 95 is jampacked already so if you're going to leave make sure you get going soon.) It's getting a little late. Make sure you have plenty of water and lots of tuna and other foods that don't require cooking or any electric appliances. Make sure you have some propane for your grill. Get some instant coffee or some cold brew. During Helene we lost power for about three days. We were so lucky it was just three days.but we were dying without any coffee. Once some of the stores open back up and grab a bottle of cold brew that gave us about six small cups of coffee. I'm sure your house is built well. Stay safe
We also suffered damage to our roof and the roofing company was kind enough to come out and put a tarp over for us. We are still waiting to get the roof fixed. Funny thing is we were already working on a claim before this. We ended up having to go with a public adjuster on that one because the insurance company devalued our roof to the point that we couldn't get any coverage. So the adjuster is holding it up now. However we will probably get a couple thousand dollars to put towards the roof from going with the public adjuster. Just some more unsolicited advice if you need it.
Fill your clean bathtub with water and make sure you have some Clorox. Get canned and other foods that don't require refrigeration, and a sterno stove to heat food/water just in case the power goes out.
$24 for one ornament! Mind blown. 🤯
Stay safe guys ❤
GM. I'm praying for you guys, this hurricane scares me. :(
Sand bags along the gap of your garage
Tip number one for someone who has been through several in Houston. Do not drive around looking for gas if you're in a line and they have gas. Also I recommend buying water and extra food every time you're at a grocery store. Also do the food that has long-term storage when you're in an area prone to hurricanes. The roofer thing is not a horrible idea but just get somebody that's reputable
What kind of pass do you have as often as you go to Disney parks?
Please take care.
Stock up on water and bring loose objects inside you might want to board up windows if the wind is predicted to be really heavy
Stay safe! Hoping for the best!
My daughter is in Clermont. So worried about them. 😢
Batteries flashlights battery candles you know you will probably loose power.
We’re in Windermere and were at Universal yesterday. It was average busy. We did one more Publix visit. Some shelves were picked through. We’re definitely bringing in lanai furniture and wreaths from doors stay safe Kyle and Casey! We’ve been here 4 years and I’m like you, this one feels different.
Kyle, is your cruise canceled??
I love the cars trilogy so I am so glad I was able to catch a show at Hollywood studios back in march when I went. Will be missed though.
Stay safe with the hurricane 🙏
I've been through 3 of them get lots of water and if you have a grill load up on gas or charcoal incase you have no power put everything up high incase of flooding..good luck
Please keep speaking and declaring God's protection over you and Florida
