Now this is what u call a perfect tournament in tennis. Federer didn't drop a set nor his serve in the entire tournament. Plus the most amazing feat was that he beat the number 2 (Murray) and the number 1 (Djokovic) in the world, who also happen to be the best returners in the game, without even facing a break point. It's extraordinary to think that Federer is 34. He makes it look so easy and at his best can beat anyone. Btw thanks for this video. Really a great tribute for the greatest
Djokovic a great returner, Murray not even close. Roger was even giving Andre serious trouble when he was a youngster. I consider Andre the greatest simply because Nole never got to experience the speed of the courts back in the day. He only became dominant over the baseline from 2008 onwards when surfaces became slower to favour baseline play.
I don't care what anyone else says, this man, Roger Federer, is the best player that has ever lived. Djokovic even said after this match last year that he hopes he can play as well as Federer does at his age when he gets there. Sure Djokovic and Nadal have better records against him head to head, but Nadal is 5 years younger than Federer and isn't playing anywhere near the level Federer was at 30, or even is now. Djokovic may very well pass him up in slam titles, time will only tell, but again age is a factor. We will have to see how Djokovic's play style will hold up with age. Aside from all the tennis skill, let's not forget to mention his professionalism and philanthropy. Overall a great ambassador not only for tennis, but for sports overall.
I didn't know where Federer got the motivation for this tournament. He was again eliminated by Novak in the finals in Wimbledon. This was the tournament where he refused to get a break point. The tournament where he did not drop a set. The birthplace of SABR from a regular practice session. The tournament where his footwork was incredible.
Kinda was hoping to see the SABR shot where Djokovic yelled "Come on!" in rage. Can't help but feel bad for Djokovic, missing the Golden Masters. Maybe next year.

Aye, age 36 ... 2 Slams, 2 Masters, 1 ATP500 by mid-year and counting ... The GOAT without a doubt.

Cincy 15 is Roger’s best ever M1000. Only Indian Wells 17 comes close.
