God has truly blessed me with your channel. I am 53 years of age, and struggling with my class. I , was very discouraged, as well as, seriously considering on not finishing my last two semesters. You have been my inspiration to continue and complete my classes. You have given me the hope, guidance and know how, to finish. And for a change, I cry happy tears as I give thanks for you and video's. May God continue to bless you "Madam Coach"!!!! You are my hero! Thank you!
Omg. I feel the same way, I thought all this week, what am I doing wrong, I felt like dropping the class but I am no quitter, and kept trying to find the answers to the chapter exercises, and I was supposed to be working with this book all along, I emailed my instructor when I got stuck, but thank goodness for youtube and this very nice lady. I am 57 and have gone back to school, holding a full time job.. good luck to you.
I am currently enrolled in college classes for medical billing and coding and I must tell you that what you are doing here is having such a positive impact on my learning experience! Thank you so very much for sharing with us your time and knowledge! It is greatly appreciated!
I just love the way you break it all down in a serious "coding for dummies" kind of way I love how quick you are at explaining the fundamentals of it all! I can't thank you enough!!! So glad God led me to your channel.
I'm taking my cpc course and came across your channel. I started watching your videos from day one 4 years ago and I must say, I should be paying you my tuition. Thank you so much for making this channel.
its been years and this has helped me more in 10 minutes with you than it has through an AAPC instructor in an hour. Please continue with these, you're doing gods work!
You rock! I didn’t know what I was looking at when I started my ch. 2 study questions, you broke it down beautifully and I breezed right through. Thanks again. 👌🙏
Started your videos last week and my interest in coding has become so much greater. Thank you so much for taking the time out to do this it has helped so much!
I started the medical coding online program at AAPC a month ago. They don't have an instructor available they just want you to read and watch a video for every chapter it gets hard because you shouldn't be learning something like this that way, well anything that way really. I came across your videos and you are helping me so much! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
I retired two years, ago, and want to work in an entirely different field. I was curious about coding as a new career. I am glad I found your videos because watching them is making me more interested and confident that this is the right change for me. Thanks for providing these great lessons.
I am interested in Medical Coding. I speak Spanish and I understand every single word, you explain so clearly. Thank you so much for this and your time
Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge. I received my RHIT in 2013, and HIM degree in 2014. I have not been able to break into the industry due to no experience. I felt like no longer completing the required CEUs, and paying the renewal fee...until I ran across your channel. May God continue to bless you as you bless us all. My answers to questions are on the way❣
Ok Imeverywoman. Don't give up. You can do this! Be creative and find a way in anyway. (volunteer, teach a class, even write for journals until you make a name for yourself) Just don't give up.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for these videos. I really needed this, I’m doing online but it’s so confusing and my professor doesn’t give much information. I can’t thank you enough.
Loved watching this educational video! I subscribed as I am new and taking Medical Coding courses to get my diploma. You were so easy to understand and taught me so much already when I'm a little newbie and feeling overwhelm with all this data. Thank you so much!
I just want to Thank you and let you know what a blessing your videos have been! I started an online program and was so confused I considered quitting! But I am now back on my journey Thanks to you explaining the material so clearly. Thanks again!
I am just about to complete my masters in Health Administration, and I am considering going for medical coding. Your tutorial came at the right time. It is a source of knowledge
You are awesome!!!! I am so excited that I accidently bumped into your videos. I'm hooked!! I start my coding classes in September, so I'm getting a head start on my learning. You break down everything so gracefully... Like I truly get it the concept. I just wished that I decided to take this route years ago but you make it so easy to follow. Thank you a million times over.
Good morning I would like to just tell you Thank you for the videos that you are posting. I'm a Revenue Cycle Manager and my background is more from the accounting and financial standpoint, however recently I wanted to learn the coding side to get a full understanding of how coding effects reimbursement. My goal is to enhance my capabilities of identifying payment trends and patterns more quickly in a detailed capacity. Your videos have really broken this down for me so far!!! Thank you Thank you
Thank you so much for this. I’m currently taking an online medical coding class for my medical records degree, and I have been struggling to understand some things due to not seeing a teacher face to face. This has helped me so much!!
I was able to follow along and understand by using a free website that provides all of the codes and indexes. I believe you mentioned in your last video to look up free ICD-10 books and this is what I found 😁
Thank you so much. You explained better than my "lazy professor" and even better than "CareerStep" that took my $2,300 with nothing to show for it. I have a feeling that if I watch all your videos I should be able to pass my RHIA with ease as I am only having problem with the "coding" section of the domains. Now you make me wanna become a coder! You are a God sent!! God bless you!!!!!
MrOnas007 oh man i was considering Career step .. $3500 for medical bill & coding not sure if i should enroll with them or my local college for 1/2 the price just for coding though
Hello, I've just started studying Medical Billing and Coding here in my local college. I was looking for the basics, insight just to get a leg up on my class when i came across your page. I must say your videos are more than helpful and informative. so thank you for your dedication and effort.
This has been so much help to me!!!! I am currently taking courses in a Technical College and I am SOOOOO confused. I will be watching every single one of your videos! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
i Just joined in medical coding (Jan 2019, 17) but not able to understand such kind of teaching . But i am watching your videos . wow easy to understand all. nice teaching your side. God bless you.
Thank you so much for being so informative. I am doing my recertification but thought that I would take the classes again first. It has been awhile since I coded. Please keep up the good work and may God bless and keep you always
I am so glad i found your training, very detailed. I need to learn more about the ICD 10-CM codes as I didnt finish the course during the transition from ICD 9 to ICD-10. Thank you so much ....amelia
Hi! I am currently an AAPC student. Due to circumstances beyond my control I got behind in my classwork & am trying to catch up. Now even though my grades are good, I can instinctively tell that I'm not being taught in my last class I'm taking, some key aspects of how to code that I'm SURE will affect whether or not I will pass the certification exam. Just in watching 2 of your videos, I've found things that AAPC has not taught me in their classes. So thank you SOOOOO much! You explain it SO much better!
Thank you so much for these videos. I know I'm a couple years behind from when you first posted these videos but I am sticking to getting through all of your videos. I've been looking at taking classes at a local college but those would get in the way of the current job plus the out of pocket cost. Just got finished praying for help in learning how to be a great coder, and felt led to check TH-cam. What a great channel! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge to help others! Blessings to you! :)
Ms. Poetrist Lovinlife2dafullest hi I’m currently studying for my cpc certification (self teaching) i was wondering if you passed your test.... if you don’t mind me asking
Can you explain encounters, and how you will know to use A= initial encounter, D=subsequent encounter, S=sequel. I'm not understanding when to add it as the 7th digit. Thanks

+CodeMaster Coach hello I was wondering does it matter what ICD-10-cm book to use. I'm new to medical coding and trying to become certified. I've seen the standard edition, for physicians, for hospitals and clinical modifer. I'm lost help :)
THANK YOU!! YOU SAVED MY MIND.. I just found your site a couple of days ago and find that it is very informative. I took a 6 month course in coding and billing a few years back and have the 2010 icd 9 cm, cpt, and hcpcs and was wondering if i could use those to follow along or should i go and find some more recent ones (have to dig the old ones out) Also I must tell you I am learning more from you than I did when I was in class. Thank you sooooo much!!!!
Welcome Aboard Norma James. You will need the ICD-10-CM instead of the ICD-9-CM book. Those codes no longer apply. For training purposes, you may use the CPT and HCPCS but must update when you go to take certification exam.
I really appreciate you providing this online. I'm entertaining becoming a coder and getting my CPC but really am new to this whole world. I wonder if it would be appropriate to ask you about certain online schools that you like?
Hello, I am learning to code in a different book , which makes it a little difficult to understand.I have an optum 360 book do you know anything about this?
In your code book it has the number next to it in red stating to keep going in my ICD-10-cm it does not have the number beside the code like yours so how do you no when to keep going?
TribalLady12, go to my channel first by typing CodeMasterCoach in the search box on TH-cam and then go to "Videos" and it will list all of my videos. Start with the oldest video and move forward.
First, thanks for all of the time and attention you put into helping further our career goals. I totally appreciate it. Just wanted to ask if you had a video on the actual certification process. Like what to expect on test, what you can bring on exam day, or how the actual process of scheduling the exam works. I have so many questions regarding the final, most important step (certification), it is giving me anxiety just thinking about it, so any reply will ne greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Latonya Lombino that is an excellent suggestion. I would probably put that on my other channel, MedicalCoderLife.. I am trying to leave CodeMasterCoach solely dedicated to teaching coding. Keep checking over on the other channel. I will definitely do that.
Hi, madam, thank you so much for your vedio. Everything seems easier since I found your vedio online. Very clear and helpful. But so much medical words to learn, too.😥 Anyway, I like your vedios, I hope work hard on this then I can get a job to work at home which can let me take care of my family at the same time.
Brenda, review the 2019 ICD-10-CM guidelines. Take them slow and make sure you understand them. Try learning them as I was presenting them this past year. I will be starting back the 2019 guidelines at the point that I stopped the 2018 guidelines soon.
As Multilanguage and I'm not native speaker in English, I have got my GED from Illinois, USA. it will problem for me or no to study billing and coding certificate in Community College here in Chicago? ?Thank you for your help.
Ori Ra, as long as you can read the physicians documentation and interpret what it is saying, you should not have any problem with studying medical billing and coding.
@@codemastercoach6636 ...I have to redo my certification test tomorrow under AIHIMA. A lot has changed since I worked in the field. I have been in the medical field for 11 years until I got sick and had surgery. I took the classes over because I was not sure how much things have changed. It was a surprise to me how much things have changed. Your videos will help me tomorrow on my test in understanding all the information and how to look them up. Thank God for you.
hi! first, thank you for taking the time to help educate. sencond, I was certified in icd9 coding and am looking to become recertified in icd10. are there book brands you would recommend? are the ama books the best?
Your welcome Stacy Stroker. As for brand books that I recommend, be sure to check out the AAPC website before purchase because they do require certain books for their certification exam. This year, my research proved AAPC to have the best price on books.
I need help! Is there anyone out there who can help. I’m a visual/hands-on learner and I just started with AAPC the the training course doesn’t come with a live person teaching, it’s all me but I don’t understand half of the stuff I’m reading 😔
You are welcome to email me at CodeMasterCoach@gmail.com. I will gladly share my Medical Coding Program with you. I meet with my students in each class, up to three times a week to make sure they understand the concepts taught each week. There are weekly assignments and quizzes to complete.
Hi! I just found you!! I'm at the end of my online course work in a certificate program but find myself struggling so much. I wanted to know if you were still accepting answers on older videos like this one? I know it's been so long ago for you but I thought I'd just head back to the start with you. I really like listening to you so far. :) Rebekah
Can you put the answers in the description or reply to my comment, that you asked at the end. I just watched the whole video and don't have time to go back into it, it would help me to see the answers as a review. I have a loose concept of the answers just not clear enough in my mind to word it out correctly
I learned more from you in 5 min, than I did in 12 hrs of class
Thank you so much Lori Hilliard.
Me too! She is so much more clear and easy to understand than my current professor!
You are a priceless and I am so grateful for your help!!

But so much medical words to learn, too.😥 Anyway, I like your vedios, I hope work hard on this then I can get a job to work at home which can let me take care of my family at the same time.
Your welcome Jane Zheng.
What specific guidelines should I focus on? Should I read all of the guidelines?
Brenda, review the 2019 ICD-10-CM guidelines. Take them slow and make sure you understand them. Try learning them as I was presenting them this past year. I will be starting back the 2019 guidelines at the point that I stopped the 2018 guidelines soon.
Thank you for this. God bless you more.
Thank you Eric Sapurna.
Thanks for another helpful video!
You're welcome Paul Madore.
+CodeMaster Coach Thank you so much.
What about the Excludes? Under that one you just did
Thank you for making studying so much easier
Your welcome Franchial Barnes.
I just love you especially your spirit.
Thank you Shermane Hylton
Awesome lesson!!! :-)
How can I start the program and what is the cost?
I got your email Shermane Hylton, and responded.
CodeMaster Coach I never received your email.
You're an absolute legend
Thank you Alexander The Great!
Hi I have a question how do you code to the highest level?
I love you so much I was lost in this class until I looked at yr I tube channel
Thank you Lena Johnson. So glad I could help.
Where is the tabular list? Is it the chapters that are colored on the sides of the pages?
Cheryl Shackett, the Tabular List is where the alphanumeric codes are listed. Usually at the back of the book.
HI, What book are you using, this is what i need?
I purchase my books from the AAPC.
Second year in medical billing and coding...still confused...thanks for your channel
You're welcome C M
Thank you so much bless you Mam!❤️❤️❤️
hi! first, thank you for taking the time to help educate. sencond, I was certified in icd9 coding and am looking to become recertified in icd10. are there book brands you would recommend? are the ama books the best?
Your welcome Stacy Stroker. As for brand books that I recommend, be sure to check out the AAPC website before purchase because they do require certain books for their certification exam. This year, my research proved AAPC to have the best price on books.
😊💙
:) Rebekah
Excellent idea. Sure, send them to me an I will answer back.
Hello! I know this video is a couple of years old but are you still accepting the answer to the 5 questions at the end of the video?
I sure am mrschisholm726.
Thank you
God bless you

Thanks dk dhunna.
Thank you.
You're welcome Angelfire.
Can you put the answers in the description or reply to my comment, that you asked at the end. I just watched the whole video and don't have time to go back into it, it would help me to see the answers as a review. I have a loose concept of the answers just not clear enough in my mind to word it out correctly
very nice i really appreciate
Thank you Classic Care Medical Center.
