What an interesting trip you took. You managed to see lots of boats in a short time, and you seemed positive through it all. No complaining about prices in NYC? You have a great attitude.
Loved this old video. Is that the same Moody that Vin & Amy ended up making their Yab Yum? I love that head. It is almost art deco inside. I loved seeing "Jack Sparrow" and Corsair too. This is such a small sailing world to see so many familiar faces.
So cool Mads I have seen some of his videos and they are very educational . I just wish I could be able to live the cruising life some day . I didn't realize how truly tall you are I am 6'2'' I think you are taller ! P.S. those Crab cakes on the english muffins look yummy too !!
Of course I am fond of the C&C in the video, but for a live aboard I admit it would have been a bit too small. Thanks for the tours! ps. my vote is for Vin to get a C&C 34! ;)
LifeisLikeSailing - Vancouver, BC I think for open ocean I would pick the Island packet 37 . The IP 37 is on my bucket list . I hope some day I can sail one around the Bahamas and maybe up to New York and Maine for the summer time .
Thanks for another nice video, Mads ! I maybe wrong - or is it the camera angle ? - but I am just afraid that your US trip hasn't been particularly beneficial for your body weight ?
I wish I could say that I've been getting lots of stuff down on the boat, but my work has been crazy busy the last two months. Plus I've got a surprise that I'm going to post soon on TH-cam!
One of my favorite things is to look at other boats. There's just so many good ideas for what to do with my own boat out there. And let's be honest, who can't spend a little quiet time looking at used boats on the internet? :-)
After seeing the last 2 videos, I can imagine it must not be easy to find a relatively compact and affordable sailboat with enough headroom if you are a quite tall person. I have a plan to look out over the next years for a bigger but compact sailing boat with sufficient headroom to be able to stand up comfortably, so I guess I am rather lucky that I am only about 1,75 m tall....
Great to see you and Vin together - enjoy both your channels and have learned a lot.
That looked hot I can only imagine what it must have been like below decks. Thanks for another great video.

I was trying to remember how I found your channel. It was through Sailing Nervous. Glad I did!
I see you were in the same marina where I keep my Bristol 27 in Galesville! Hope you're enjoying your stay in and around Annapolis.

The Moody is by far the best of the boats you looked at for what Vinny is planning in my opinion. It scores well for sail area vs displacement.
nice direct video. You do a fine job! Tx for ll the information

Mads,
I keep my Catalina 375 in Barnegat bay NJ let me know if you want to sail around the bay in your trip
Have a great time in USA !!
Why am I not surprised that Vinny overslept and missed breakfast?
The Moody looked by far the best boat out of them all...
Warren
Thanks Mads.
Vin needs to look for an alarm clock before a boat.....
You ever figure out what type of boat the third one was?
It feels like the book "Where's Waldo" except in your case it's Where's Mads!
Maverick Sailing Haha, Adam :) I hope all is going according to plan down south :)

Either your really tall or Vinnie is on the short side. Sub to both channels and enjoyed the dual view of the same subject matter!
