🍻 to everyone who has been there. Not one not two. But several times and get skunk 🦨 and we still here. Buying fishing tackle SALUD 🍺 my fishery friends. Big shout to to GB thanks for the good day’s and the bad day’s. 🔥🔥🔥👊🏽🎣
Haha I’m surrounded with so much new fishing lures, last meter tackle and a fresh new rod/reel combo. I’m not doing anything wrong I just don’t have the gear they like😉
A special congratulations 🎊 to you my friend as my constant subscriber. I’m using this medium to appreciate you with a successful prize for a lifetime achievement👆👆Text Me Quickly to claim what await you
We love you, Greg! We love the skunk videos as much as we love the big fish videos. I watch because you're entertaining, and your videos have helped me get started on a kayak. I've learned a lot from you, and that's greatly appreciated!
a year ago after becoming a fan of the show i bought a Kayak. I fished for bass for a month and caught 1. I am not inexperienced in bass fishing. But i went saltwater ever since cuz i was so frustrated lol.. still love this channel watch every drop. After watching this maybe ill try the lake again.
The fact that you are able to film and edit quality videos even of a skunk like this one in a matter of a day or two is impressive! Keep up the great work and hope to wet a line with you some day!
Thanks for taking 2 for the team. I study what you do and rational. I don't live as close to the delta as you do so I can't gain as much experience. But getting ready to head out in may 2 weeks. Meanwhile just getting stuff done and drinking a warm cup of coffee
The casting montages are epic. Always makes me laugh, even on a good day of fishing, something about the rhythm of them I guess...... Love the videos Greg
As I'm watching this vid, I'm listening to the wind and the rain comin' down pretty strong; be glad that you had time to get out there when it was nice enough to do so; good to see ya out there!! One of the golden rules out there.... don't look up!!! :)
Have to admit. The bird poop sequence is priceless. Especially after being “in the poop” fishing wise. Adds insult to injury. But you showing us these days makes us realize that if you fish, you will have days and even seasons like this and that is part of the sport (golf close second). Roll with it. Dokkodo lays it out. If you haven’t read that, to all fishermen, it’s a MUST READ. Health, safety and fun to all. Thanks Greg.
Just got back from getting skunked this morning too. I went Monday and caught two nice largies. Today the ponds were 3 feet higher, water was super super muddy with a lot of debris. Bite was DEAD. But hey, at least a bird didn’t drop on me haha that had me dying bro 😂
Tough series of trips for sure. Keep after em Greg. I fish from the bank and fished my local lake in the Spring for the first time last year. Walked over 15 miles, spent 30+ hours on the water. The day I caught my new PB I fished for 6 hours without a bite and the second fish I hook into was a 20", 5 lb stud. A week later I caught the second biggest fish of my life. It can turn around that quick.
I appreciate the realness! It's easy to get discouraged when TH-camrs all look like they are catching all the fish all the time. Thank you for showing the struggle along the way!
Freaking brutal GB! And you got pooped on! Gahlee! Salute to you for continuing to grind. As you said, it will turn on. Those fish are just crazy confused right now with this wild weather we're having up here. Spring prespawn is on the horizon! Tight lines friend.
I've always tried to looked at my skunk days/streaks as payment for those days where everything is working. Appreciate your grind and videos. The promise of tomorrow always brings us back.
Appreciate your channel immensely, Greg! My confidence bait on these ultra tough days is a really downsized jerkbait. Something in the 60-80mm size will get SOMETHING to bite! Keep on grinding!
I feel your pain. I have literally had a day just like that with the bird crapping on me at the end of the day. I couldn’t help but laugh. Keep them coming and know it can only get better. Always keep it real. That’s what I love about your videos. Thanks for sharing!
I give you a lot of credit for trying! I've had absolutely no desire to go out. And i live on the water. It'll be interesting to see how the big boys do next week
Glad to see you out on the delta again. Safe to say you got some good luck coming your way, thanks to that bird lol Love it when you included the starting line up at the start of the video. Would like to see the inclusion of what gear ratios you choose for each technique in the future. 🤘🍻
Hey Greg. Great video! I went to the delta sunday 3/5. I had a total of 3 bites and landed 1. All bites were from one area. It was a pocket in between 2 main channels. It was a good staging spot for the bass and had healthy green tully islands. I got all of my bites with a 5 inch black and blue senko.
Greg, you make us feel hopeful since an experienced angler such as yourself meets THE GRIND 🙁 I wanted to mention that you're not alone in being a victim of bird poop (yeech!) My Better Half & I were running the boat on Clear Lake when we came up on a group of Mudhens. Even though we slowed the engine, the flock was spooked and took to the air. As you know, they can't fly very high. Poop went flying all over the Ranger and my poor husband. Why I was spared is a mystery, but luckily I had a clean towel in my locker. I went about washing my husband's poor face and tried really hard not to laugh. (He's promised to abandon me on an island for independent thought LOL) All I can say is thank you for posting your videos even if you don't catch anything. We remain your loyal fans 🤗
One thing that would help some of us newer delta guys would be a quick map of where you are launching. I love the delta but there are so many marinas and small ramps that I have no idea where you are at most of the time. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Great video Greg, yeah the Delta still hasn't opened up yet. I think after this next week of storms we will be good. It will be one heck of a season though. See you out there! I'm right up the river from you at Oxbow. Cheers!
Greg is one of the only people who can make a skunk video be just as awesome as a highlight video. Him, and maybe mikey Ballz, Kristine, theres a few, but we love your "real fishing" vids Greg!!! Heres something I learned Greg..... and I know you are probably better at this stuff than me, you have a ton more experience than I do. But at the bassmaster kayak on Guntersville last weekend, storms came in friday and blew it up.... muddy water everywhere. So I changed plans completely and went down by the dam where the water was a lil clearer and stable. I skunked day 1. So then day 2 I went up on the river where I was going to originally go. They were pumping quite a bit of current from the nickajack dam, so it was moving pretty good. I found an area where a bridge crossed the lake and there was islands. Some of the current from the river was getting diverted between the islands so I started throwing a spinnerbait up in the current and then bringing it down through these little chutes of water and past lil ambush spots and bam.... 3rd cast of morning a 17 incher. I very quickly caught 3. Then I caught a few more on chatter after spinnerbait bite died. Fishing current even when the water was awful muddy. I saw you go past a couple current chutes on this vid, I don't know if you fished them but the fish will still relate to current when water is real muddy...well I guess it completely depends on the body of water and fish population, but it's not the first time I found some kind of current that most others overlooked and was rewarded. Unfortunately I had already lost tourney on day 1, but I just wanted to see what could have been and at least submit some fish for the tourney. I don't think the fish I found were the size to win the tourney anyhow, but they could have definitely allowed me to get a check if I had been on them from the start. Current and structure. They will be so tight against structure they are touching it when they can't see and you can drop a bait on their heads if you can figure out what structure they are on......they will pick structure right off current and structure close to food......that's the best I got. I also keep forgetting the delta is tidal.....so I really have no idea how to fish tidal waters, but I do know they still relate to current both incoming and outgoing with ambush spots, etc. You probably know much more than me about that, so I'm not telling you anything for sure. Safe travels and great content Greg.
The delta hasn’t had this much water since 2016/2017 the fish are definitely doing new things this year. It’s a completely different body of water. 💪🏾 keep up the good work
I agree, glad to see you on the delta. Having a slayer 10 max myself I enjoy more backwater videos then big bowl reservoirs cali has. Now might be a better time to explore new water out on the delta, get lost in there!
Greg, I have fished the Delta for a few decades. Storms like this were common in the 70's and the fishing was always slow for a week or two after but it will get better. In fact, I think this is going to be one of your best years on the delta.
i'm so with you. we all are. i was out on the water (bank fishing/bay area) both of those days. especially tuesday - there was a LOT of us out there. all like, IT's WARM! where's the fish?! i left tuesday after 4 hours. ate some in'n'out and went back to a different body of water. nothin. But you know what? I caught one today! (3/9) on a tiny little flat sided yozuri crank. right before the rain started up this morning. it felt so fucking good man. spring is coming. it's only a matter of time. i absolutely love this video I feel so validated. we're all out there with you struggling right now.
Darn near started shedding tears of sorrow with the violin music. May have to replace the bluegill on your shirt with a sward or something for your skunk day videos... 😂 Still keep em coming Sir, Love ya and thanks to you and all your friends!
Greg! I wish I knew you man! The Delta in March when the winter is like this year it’s all about wood! Lay downs and the trees that are partially in the water(like the ones you find up the north mokelumne west side of Staten Island). Pitch a jig up close to the bank and give it a second for them to come find it. One hop and bam!!
I went fishing yesterday and got skunked in one of my favorite spots. With the weather warming up i know the bite is about to turn on amd i can't wait for that first tug!!!!
Thanks for posting all your videos. We dont expect you to be invinceable, your just like us. Its winter time, dirty water, cold tempatures, it does not get much badder than that. We still enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. Hopefully things will turn in the next few weeks for the Delta. ☺
Darn Greg! All good like you said there will be a time when we will be catching them! I cant wait to get out but unfortunately we have been rained on lately. Uhhhh!! Keep up the great videos!
These videos are what keeps you authentic Greg, learn a lot from these videos. Do you plan on fishing the hobie b.o.s Tournemnt on Cayuga? June 24th and June 25th? Would love to run into you out there
Man I have to tell you that every time you drop a video I think the same exact thing... "Greg needs a team so that he can drop videos more than once a week!" Your channel is singularly the only channel that I hate waiting for! That's no shade to you at all, it just means that your content is just that good. I'm one of those cats that have been with you for years when you were kayak fishing I think back in New York and you were super young. Anyway I watch the channel grow and it is literally one of if not the best fishing channel (at least to me) on TH-cam. Not only that I picked up other fantastic channels through you. O being one of them, my man The ambassador of the Delta! I also follow many of your other compadres too. Anyway man keep producing great content and keep Ripp'n those lips as O would say!
Greg!!!! Ima keep it real. I’ve been watching for years and I’ll say I’ve seen you have bad luck in the past during the winter seasons, and do you know how you solved it? Go with someone from your squad! Guaranteed if you bring Bam with you on the next trip you’ll see some DOOOOOOOPS! Big belly shirt gordita mama citas
Fishing has been tough. Even the birds are so bored their dropping bombs for fun. Way to grind but it’s nice in itself to be out on the water. Better times to come.
My exact same day on the water down here in SoCal. It’s been absolutely brutal since January. All the lakes are chocolate milk from all the rain. Oh that music was cracking me up🤣🤣
Greg, you're correct, and you have done amazing things in the tournaments this year. We still love watching you fish, learning new baits, setups, and the birds 😂 You're gonna have epic days soon bro. I know that!! Stay safe bro..😎 🎣 🌊
Just left bass pro in Ohio, had to stop on way back home to Michigan. Good deals going on for the spring classic, bought a stunna along with a bunch of Berkley, strike king and 6th baits.
Greg - Winter fishing on the delta has always been tough. Gotta slow way down and when you think you’re fishing slow enough, fish even slower. Don’t approach your water and presentations like you do in the spring and summer patterns by fishing shallow. When the water temps are below the 50’s, the bulk of the greenies are actually lurking in the deeper 8-14ft depths in ledges and what’s left of the deeper grass. As a side note, leave the reaction baits at home 😉, the exception would be a rip bait. Keep at it and you’ll soon connect.
I’ve caught one so far this year. Not as many trips as you, but I’ve skunked on the Delta numerous times this year. You are right though, once the bite picks up, it’s going to be incredible. Stay grinding.
The last lake bass I caught was back on Oct 9, 2022. Have been skunking ever since and that’s fishing 1-2 times per week. Still waiting on that 2023 bass!!!
Loved this video, unfortunate you got pooped on! Talk about throwing salt on wounds haha Always keep up the great work, Greg! You'll get your Delta Donk, Soon enough!
I skunked this past weekend too. Water is dirty around these parts too. I might need to start throwing the noisiest, flashiest, scent-covered lures I can find… lol
Have you tried many very small baits, like 2-3” range. Cut a senko in half or ned size worm but no skirt. Lighter set up. I had to make a crazy rig this winter to get bit. Texas rig a 3” chunk of a worm but I attached a blade to the gap on the EWG for shine. Smoked the heck out of them on that. I was surprised how small I had to go this winter for a good bite
Ok man. It's not about just catching fish.... who am I kidding. It most certainly is. Lol. Love the video as always. The fish down here in Alabamatucky were on it a few days ago but now it's like they are changing their minds. Thank you for your video's brother.
The Delta will test you with every trip. All you can do is grin and hope!
🍻 to everyone who has been there. Not one not two. But several times and get skunk 🦨 and we still here. Buying fishing tackle SALUD 🍺 my fishery friends. Big shout to to GB thanks for the good day’s and the bad day’s. 🔥🔥🔥👊🏽🎣

Very few things raise my confidence level higher than a Greg Blanchard skunk video!
Thanks Greg!!!
Haha my pleasure😂
Someone is sending out scam emails to your subscribers using your TH-cam profile picture.
Man, the skunk, the bird poop, the clean up, the music, my tissue box is so running low.....Love the vid.
You and tactical bassin are the only shows that are interesting and actually show fishing with out the bs thank you for your quality content.
For real fisherman, it is the skunk days that humble us but also make those magical days so memorable and keep us coming back for more.
you said it
We love you, Greg! We love the skunk videos as much as we love the big fish videos. I watch because you're entertaining, and your videos have helped me get started on a kayak. I've learned a lot from you, and that's greatly appreciated!

Yo the confidence meter needs to be in every video going forward. Most relatable metric ever lol keep grinding homie!
LOVE that you went over the rod/reel/bait set up at the beginning of this video.
So much in this video! The confidence meter was a nice touch 😆.
The fact that you are able to film and edit quality videos even of a skunk like this one in a matter of a day or two is impressive! Keep up the great work and hope to wet a line with you some day!
Not sure im proud of that ability but thank you sir haha
Thanks for taking 2 for the team.
I study what you do and rational. I don't live as close to the delta as you do so I can't gain as much experience.
But getting ready to head out in may 2 weeks.
Meanwhile just getting stuff done and drinking a warm cup of coffee
you bet. May should be a fantastic time to come
Killed this - Greg! Who would’ve known “skunk” videos would be the next thing trending in the bass TH-cam community.

Thank you Greg, you didn't get skunked you made your viewers happy 😊.
I appreciate you bringing us a long good or bad? That's fishing! Having those grind out days really makes us appreciate once it turns on.
A video of the G-man getting skunked is still better then no video!! Keep them coming buddy.
The old saying ‘you get out of it, what you put into it’ is how I feel about skunk days. Just paying my dues. Always appreciate the vids!
Fishing has definitely been tough the last couple months. I enjoy these videos though because still so much to learn from these kinda days. 🤙
Tough series of trips for sure. Keep after em Greg. I fish from the bank and fished my local lake in the Spring for the first time last year. Walked over 15 miles, spent 30+ hours on the water. Brutal man! you're right tho, it can and will change anytime
Skunk or not it feels good to see you out on the delta again 🤙
So good to see you Greg!! Cant wait to see you again!!! Keep grinding brother only big fish to come.
I appreciate the realness! It's easy to get discouraged when TH-camrs all look like they are catching all the fish all the time. Thank you for showing the struggle along the way!
That cormorant bomb! 😅 Says it all on how the day went! Hang in there and keep up the great videos. Thanks.
I love how u just left the bird shit on the screen an your leg the entire rest of the day! Hahah love it
The curse of the net! Don’t bring it next time! Lol. Thanks for the upload. Better days are ahead. Cheers!
Yes! A bfs combo and some finesse hard baits will kill.
I appreciate and like how you present your content Greg! Enjoy the Double Double at In & Out!
This was worthy of secret menu item the 4x4!
Can’t wait for In & Out to come to Idaho!!
Safe to say you got some good luck coming your way, thanks to that bird lol
Love it when you included the starting line up at the start of the video. Would like to see the inclusion of what gear ratios you choose for each technique in the future. 🤘🍻
Description has gear ratio information for each technique
It's certainly a grind right now! Haha, I can empathize with you husband 😂
Love the confidence meter...it's great to see how you adapt to the conditions!
I love the idea of showing your gear before heading out. It shows us a bit of how you prep before an outing.
Love the sad music playing on the way to the truck. Thats one of those days you just drive the speed limit home.
Happens to everyone, it’s fishing, not catching. This is what makes your videos real.
Loved the soundtrack 😂 man that was my luck all year last year, keep grinding it out man your a hell of an angler, love the videos!
Confidence meter got me dying!! I might copy that on mine. 😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣
Thank you for showing us the good, bad, and ugly! It’s important to know that it happens to the best of us. Good days are coming! Stay safe!
You wouldn't have known unless you went and looked for yourself. Better than speculating from home. Thanks for sharing!
This makes me feel better about my goose eggs. Thank you for showing us this.
Greg I've been watching you for a long time. You're one of my favourite youtubers! Would be an honour to fish with you.. love from Windsor Ontario
One thing that would help some of us newer delta guys would be a quick map of where you are launching. I love the delta but there are so many marinas and small ramps that I have no idea where you are at most of the time. Thanks and keep up the great work.

It’s always impressive how much water you cover in your kayak! Ty
Way to keep your head up and focus on the right perspective... These days make the good ones taste that much sweeter!
Greg is one of the only people who can make a skunk video be just as awesome as a highlight video. Him, and maybe mikey Ballz, Kristine, theres a few, but we love your "real fishing" vids Greg!!!

Still any fishing while this new storm coming in is a fun vid to watch
Gotta love that spring winter transition. Love that feeling of possibility. 😃

Greg, you're correct, and you have done amazing things in the tournaments this year. We still love watching you fish, learning new baits, setups, and the birds 😂 You're gonna have epic days soon bro. I know that!! Stay safe bro..😎 🎣 🌊
Appreciate you my brother!
Just left bass pro in Ohio, had to stop on way back home to Michigan. Good deals going on for the spring classic, bought a stunna along with a bunch of Berkley, strike king and 6th baits.
Thanks for sharing my friend!
Aye! Back to the delta! Some of my favorite videos!
I’ve caught one so far this year. Not as many trips as you, but I’ve skunked on the Delta numerous times this year. You are right though, once the bite picks up, it’s going to be incredible. Stay grinding.
Cheers bro always hard to fish in those conditions, but definitely better than not going...
Thanks Greg
This video gave me hope, now ik it just isnt me having a tough time out on our waters
Another great video! Thank you!
Don't feel bad Greg, things have been slow on the ice here in the Dakota's! Keep up the good vibes even when things may be sh*ty! 😎
That was brutal, we’ll get em next time
The last lake bass I caught was back on Oct 9, 2022. Have been skunking ever since and that’s fishing 1-2 times per week. Still waiting on that 2023 bass!!!
It's all good you'll bounce back soon Greg.
Went fishing yesterday thinking pre frontal conditions would be good and not even a bite haha Great video as always GB
Loved this video, unfortunate you got pooped on! Talk about throwing salt on wounds haha Always keep up the great work, Greg! You'll get your Delta Donk, Soon enough!
My first tournament is March 18th and I have been in your shoes for weeks now also. I have my fingers crossed though for a little luck!
I skunked this past weekend too. Water is dirty around these parts too. I might need to start throwing the noisiest, flashiest, scent-covered lures I can find… lol
Thanks for sharing. My first tournament is Sunday I sure don’t hope that happens
Let’s go! Always a good day when you post!
Good stuff! Even with tough conditions you have to get out early and check things out. You know what they say, early bird gets to crap on Greg. 😂
Ok man. It's not about just catching fish.... who am I kidding. It most certainly is. Lol. Love the video as always. The fish down here in Alabamatucky were on it a few days ago but now it's like they are changing their minds. Thank you for your video's brother.
All good Greg. Enjoy your vid no matter what.
