I don’t know if you’ll see this since it’s an older video, I found you through your Emily Dickinson video, but I digress. If you do ever want to bring a petticoat, you can use one of those travel space saver bags. You pop it in, seal the bag then slowly roll it to get the air out. Ok back to bingeing your content 🙂
I was just watching your arrival day vlog and I was so confused about why you showed a man's back. Now I'm thinking it must have been your dad in his Hawaiian shirt 😂😂😂😂 Love seeing all your collections 😍 And hearing about your dress preferences!
I just went back and watched my arrival vlog to see what you were talking about because I couldn’t think why I would have showed a man’s back. 😂 I think you must be referring to the clip when we were leaving the Animal Kingdom - there are these two cool “exit” signs shaped like beautiful birds on either side of the bridge, that’s what I was trying to show, the guy walking in front of me just happened to be in the shot. It gets so crowded at Disney sometimes it’s hard to capture the ambience without the people. 😆 There certainly are plenty of tropical shirts, and it is so funny how people always think my dad is a cast member!

It was my New Years resolution to not buy any clothes this year, but the loophole was that I could buy material and make them myself 😆 it really motivated me to get better at sewing! You should definitely try your hand at it! I feel like I remember you saying your mom helped you make your fabulous Halloween costumes in the past - what an excellent teacher!

100% agree with your Brooks Brothers comment on scaling back on women’s clothing. It’s truly a shame that they are not willing to cater to working women.
So exciting! We’re getting ready to go to Disney next weekend. I’m ready to lay out outfits and coordinating ears for myself and my two kids. That box you have your ears in is the perfect size!

Thanks Ismene, it was a great time! ✨ It was so fun to have some Switch time during the drive, I finally got around to playing Pokémon Shining Pearl…all I have left now is to beat the Elite Four. 👌

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Deva Curl but I can’t remember ever trying it myself. I’ve been loving Not Your Mother’s curl line, their curl cream and gel have worked great with my hair!

I love your style, Emma! I really applaud you for being able to wear it in the heat and humidity! Visited WDW in 2017 for the first time (CA girl) and, oh my, I thought Florida has a special kind of heat and humidity!! Even the shorts and t-shirts I was wearing was too much. I absolutely can’t remember the last time I got my hair cut in a salon. I so agree with you. If you have curly hair it is so forgiving and I just cut my own. I was so tired of hair stylist trying to make my hair look good for straight hair. Even using straightening products on my hair when I said I wanted my natural curly the way it is. Then them trying to convince me to wear my hair straight🤦🏻♀️😱.
Haha that’s it exactly! I once had a stylist straighten my hair and then recurl it with a curling iron. Not really what I was going for… 😂 It’s so hard to communicate what you want and be assertive enough to say no thanks at a salon - so much simpler to just trim it yourself!
Every time I watch your videos, I resist the urge to go to Amazon and buy dresses! 😊

How do you care for your dresses so that they don’t fade? Do you still have the musical notes dress? Do you ever have to alter your dresses for length?
Oh my goodness, that floral dress is gorgeous.
I do try to take good care of the dresses - I never put them through the dryer which I think really helps. Dryers are really rough on clothes. For a long time I washed them by hand, but these days I usually just wash them 2-3 in a load and use the “delicate” setting on the washer. I also have a rule that if I ever spill anything on a dress I *have* to get up right away and wash it out right away. No exceptions. 😂 I’ve only shortened dresses a few times and it hasn’t always worked out (that blue pineapples dress from Marshall’s was an exception, it shortened really nicely). If the length isn’t right when I try it on, mostl I take it as a sign it’s not meant to be! 😆

I didn’t even think of that but I love it!! I should have looked for a Jane hat and parasol!
