    I never understood why a company would try to even make a CP4 more reliable. Its really not possible, I 100% recommend the DCR over anything. Wish more people would understand it and not be so cheap.

      Same here, I own 2013 long bed, bought new, last week the truck went into surgery. DCR took about 7 hours, I also replaced the turbo with a fleece cheetah, inter cooler and all the piping. Man what a freaking difference, also replace all the steering and track bars with APeX parts. It’s like I have a new 2013 truck back. Good luck to ya.

    I’m an elevator mechanic, not a diesel mechanic. But I installed my DCR about five months ago. It is the best thing I ever did to my truck. I feel so much more confident in taking it on trips now. These pumps come with excellent instructions, and if you are somewhat mechanically inclined, it is the thing to do for your Ford power stroke. Install on my 2020 was easy. The drivers side Hp line took about 40 seconds more to maneuver into place due to heat shield as advertised. But no problem at all. Threads started by hand and screwed all the way on by hand. No misaligned threads or risk of cross threading. Would recommend to everyone debating on “holding out” for a 2020+ model. Easy job.

      Thanks for sharing that. We've had many reports like yours saying that 2020+ install was not an issue, and that's great to hear. Due to slight variances from truck to truck, we want to wait on our revised high pressure lines before we officially claim 2020-2022 fitment, and possibly 2023 and 2024. We have an HO 2023 in house now for testing. Customers are more than welcome to give it a try and see if it works out as easy as yours. Thank you for your business.

      Why is the disaster prevention kit that your company makes not adaptable to the DCR? I understand that the DCR will keep any issue within the pump itself if it were to have a problem. However why not have the extra protection. I have your disaster prevention kit and plan on the DCR purchase as I have grown to trust your product. Just trying to eliminate any possible issue. Just wondering.

    😊Thanks for the great education about the pumps. Like others I'm hopeful your development attentions are looking at the 2023 and up 6.7s. I suppose I'll "make due" with a Disaster Prevention Kit until a DCR is available for the 2023 6.7s. A question though ... is the R113 CP4 on all 2023 6.7s or just on the HO 6.7 engine? We assume that the R113 is for both models, but we cannot confirm just yet. The 2023 we inspected was a standard output. It would make sense for Ford to use the same pump on both models. We'll be sure to let the market know if/when the DCR is compatible with 2023 model years.

      The dcr conversion is cheaper than a disaster kit. If you think about it like this...
      The disaster kit it's only to mitigate damage, you will still have to replace the pump, and if you go dcr, disaster kit isn't needed.
      Skip the disaster kit and just replace the pump, bc when you go dcr you get rid of the need for the disaster kit.

      Or spend 700 and still lose the cp4 and lose money on the trucks down time.
      Lose money on a disaster kit that's not needed when you go DCR

    So many dealers list this pump as only compatible with 2011-2019. I thought this was now verified for all 6.7s, 2011-2023. Why do so many of your dealers not know the updated capability? Do they not fully understand what they are selling? Nervous to drop $2k with a dealer that isn't fully informed. Any suggested shops that actually understand S&S products?

    • @SSfueled
      @SSfueled  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The dealers are correct and we apologize for the confusion. The initial release was for 11-22 trucks and then we discovered that one of the high-pressure lines made contact with the turbo coolant line on the 20-22 trucks. We made a change in the final production line to better-clear the heat shield on the earlier models, and went a little too far. We have had many reports from dealers that it will fit with a small line tweak, but that's not what we want in a final product. We decided to stop sale on 20-22 trucks until a revised line is made. We are hoping to have that line ready in roughly 3 months. 2023 model year is a different story since it has a completely different/larger CP4 (R113) and we need to do more testing. Thank you for your patience.

Since the LB7 uses an earlier version of the CP3, many people will upgrade to our SuperSport CP3 that is a high-speed variant of the CP3NH that is used in the LBZ/LMM Duramax.

    why are so many people getting a rattle at idle after conversion. what is the noise?

    • @SSfueled
      @SSfueled  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Out of the thousands of DCRs in service, we’ve had a small amount of reports of a ticking noise. We’ll work on a proper video explanation, but here’s the just of it in the meantime. With the DCR having less parasitic loss and less load on the gears than a CP4, excessive gear chatter can happen. It doesn’t come from the pump itself, but rather the pump gear and cam gear not having as much load at idle and during deceleration when compared to a CP4. We have not seen many "ticking" pumps, when compared to amount that are in use, but we do our best to determine a cause so that we can ensure all of our products are operating properly. From what we have found, so far, the noises that are present do not affect reliability or longevity. We are looking to see if there is a way to mitigate and/or eliminate this completely.

      Good eye. Our shirts have Bosch Motorsport on one sleeve and MoTeC on the other. On top of our own products, we offer electronic control packages using hardware from both companies. In fact, Bosch is key partner of ours and we use many of their CP3s and injectors as base components for our products. We've had great luck with using Bosch CP3s for our LML Duramax and 19-20 RAM Conversion Kits, but the CP3 will not fit in the Ford 6.7 valley. Thankfully, Stanadyne stepped up with the DCR which fits and is a very robust design, like the CP3. We teamed up with Stanadyne/PurePower to design a version of the DCR that is specific to the Ford 6.7.
