Didn’t Marcellus have an issue with Kap taking a knee because he wasn’t “truly” black? Now he’s happy to see non-black people doing what Kap did? 😔
I think it was more than that. Marcellus is from Compton. Sure you are familiar with that place. Kaep is from Visalia, grew up on a dairy farm/cheese company, upper-middle-class parents, who adopted him and gave him a great life. I think it has more to do with origination and backstory vs skin color.

His point was valid on that though. As sincere as Kaepernick was, you can't dismiss the fact that his mixed heritage fueled the courage (comfort) required to make a stand like that. Even Obama wasn't raised by black people. People like Kaepernick and Obama come from a slightly different subculture than most black people in America.

@@steeler4life yeah that's kind of what I mean. He was clearly justified in his protest but he, like a lot of people, conflated revolution with revolution. He tried to adopt Castro's image as a freedom fighter about 70 years too late. That's something a "woke" white kid from the suburbs would do.

First, I am sad that Mr. Whitlock is no longer with the show, he is perfect to ask questions and follow with comments plus his cool approach. I will miss him so much and hope the contract can be worked out and he comes back again. Second, Mr. Wiley is one of the most smart and thought-provoking analysts I have ever seen, and I have seen almost all the football shows. But he is perfect in answering questions and commenting but not placing questions or leading the show. That is why he and Mr. Whitlock matched perfectly, please bring him back and do not break the chemistry of a great show. Sad sad day for me not seeing my favorite show with its two superstars together Whitlock & Wiley, I can see that on Marcellus's face.

So what about the hatred those cops took out on George Floyd.
Until the minority in power is held to punishment or penalization commensurate to the extent of their power, there can be no justice. Police, Professionals, Government Officials, Military, all need higher penalties for failing the people. They need the greatest oversight, and threat upon them, not the majority, the people. Look at what Corporations do, what power they wield, and have no one going to jail or losing everything when they do the whole world the most harm. This needs to happen across all levels, the minorities need to be fearful of the people, not the other way around. If they arent capable they shouldnt step up to that level. Period. Laws must change, Oversight needs to be harsher and independent of the group in need of correction. No nation has ever had a long history due to using the same failing methods of minorities in power self insulating and protecting their enforcers from being just. The only way to manage a real" for the people by the people" those in positions of power must be in fear of the people.
George Floyd isnt the sole reason for the riots and marches and fire across the world. The condition of the world caught his spark. And the world was ready to go, the lies and the false promises, and the lack of change under all of the pain the world is enduring, that is what caught fire. God Bless George Floyd for his spark. We all need to hold that in reverence to real change. No "calm down" no pressures to be passive, Carry the flame on to demand real changes, or it will all have been for naught, just another chapter in the series of the same events, repeating til yes.. nothing is left but extreme loss.
