This presentation makes a refreshing change from the norm. It's great to hear some of the functions often overlooked when demonstrating this type of instrument. We all know we can play it in the usual way but there are only so many times we need to hear Spanish Eyes for example. Great job. Very entertaining.
Excellent Demo which covers almost everything about the new keyboard technology from Yamaha. It also gives a hint about the upcoming keyboard features.
I've been a musician for over 30 years and I still can't figure out why anybody would pay thousands of dollars for an arranger or synthesizer when you have something like this for less than $400
Cool video. 😎 Please make an extensive demo with the styles and the grooves - after all, this thing is supposed to be an arranger keyboard, remember? Thanks.
Great video. It must take months to fully strap into that thing - I have a PSR-EW300 with fewer features but after about a year I’m still discovering new tricks it can do. This instrument isn’t aimed at my demographic but it’s very impressive. Hey, try to convince your Yamaha rep that an 88 key PSR-EW300 at a similar price point would sell, will you?
This demo was awesome. It's a keyboard with so much more, which he was demonstrating. Go watch another generic video and they can play jingle bells for ya LOL LOL LOL
There are something like 700+ instrument sounds (voices) and hundreds of rhythms (styles). I have a lower-level Yamaha keyboard with fewer voices and styles - just briefly stepping through all of them can take hours.
Nice presentation and groovy performance but I wanna have a Yamaha LCD screen to show me how to do the best dance moves to the music. With all the totally useful? features that come with this board- groover, live C. knobs, and quickie sampler- we certainly could use some more polyphony, say 64 or more notes. And for us free ranging piano pounders how about a full keyboard finger mode for those 76 keys? I enjoyed the dance zombies at the end and their dip. dip. dippitydip moves. Looks like Yamaha has got another lower end hit on their hands!
Hi there. That is a great question! You should be able to download the Yamaha MIDI styles from your computer onto your flash drive and then transfer that onto the keyboard. Usually when you have downloaded the MIDI styles, they will come up as a ZIP compressed file, so just be sure to unzip those before loading them onto the flash drive, otherwise the keyboard won't be able to read them. From there, it should pop up on the main screen once you plug in the flash drive and then you can open it and go from there. Let us know if you have any other questions! I know at the time of this comment, there is the PSRE473 and the PSRE425. But I got the PSRE463 for my birthday in 2020. I do lots of midi programming with it in Reaper on a Windows10 computer. I have looked at the midi reference manual and I am confused on how to use the system exclusive messages to change the reverb type and the chorus type. Note that I am not talking about the levels of these two. I try to find for example, the message for changing the chorus type and I look at the effect map and try to punch in a number. But then it does something weird like changing the voice to something else. Also I know that you can adjust control change 1 for modulated vibrato. But is it possible to change the speed of the vibrato at all?
Hi! I was wondering if somebody with more experience could help me out. This keyboard has 76 keys and amazing sounds. But I come from an old german piano and I'm worried about the keys, since they're not weighted and seem to kinda lack support (unlike the dgx series, for example, that go all the way down). Are they comfortable to play? Is this keyboard still recommended for me or should I keep looking? Thank you!
Does yamaha e410 have the 17 track recording feature with the help of which we can pre record some instruments and the superimpose the imstrument we want to play along with the precorded set in realtime??

Hi, Jonathan. That is a great question! You will be able to use the PSR-EW410 as a MIDI controller, as it does have USB to Host capabilities. Hello! Here are all of the apps Yamaha makes for this PSR keyboard: usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/portable_keyboards/psr-ew410/apps.html#product-tabs In addition to this, you can connect it via MIDI to any sequencer app that runs on a computer or tablet via a MIDI interface. Hello, Nani! Thanks for your interest in Sweetwater for your purchase. The PSR-EW410 has what Yamaha calls "Touch-Response" keys. Basically, 4 levels of response - Soft, Medium, Hard, & Fixed. They're pretty decent synth action keys. I actually purchased one of these for my daughter. Sounds are really quite good and I borrow it every now and then for a quick band rehearsal. The arranger has a lot of advanced features in an affordable, portable package. That's what it does best. Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss what you're looking for in an arranger. Greg Savino, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, greg_savino@sweetwater.com
Hi, Asif! I am a keyboard player, myself. Looking between the two, I would probably lean more towards the PSR-EW410 keyboard. It has 76 keys instead of 61, an additional main output for a professional stereo out connection, more drum kits, as well as arpeggios. This keyboard is definitely a lot of bang for the buck. Let us know if you have any more questions! Maryann Shirley, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1774
