Jodie, so sorry to hear about your wrist. I had the same problem years ago. Mine was carpal tunnel syndrome and I had to wear a brace for a few months. Key was checking out your brace and trying to flip your hand up to give him pets. My Sadie used to do the same thing. I hope you’ll feel better soon and I hope your Mom is getting over her cold. @Debra.Justice mine were so severe from my previous occupation that I had double carpal tunnel surgery back in 2019. Two week recovery for each hand, but I’m glad to be free from the pain. ❤ I hope yours is manageable. ❤

I’m retired now so I can finally take it easy, except now the arthritis is taking over my body. Getting old is a trip. 😉
Yeah, I have carpal tunnel syndrome & I have to sleep with wrist braces like Jodie's until I have surgery, so I sympathised with Key when he had to get one. My cat's on a mission to murder mine- I swear he's part puppy, he tries to murder my shoes too. Your dog flipping your hand up for pats is adorable.
I can relate. I had to wear a wrist brace for a while when I was cashiering. Also had to rest the elbow as it causes tennis elbow. Thank God I didn't need surgery. As @DebraJustice said, the arthritis is the problem now.

I broke it when this big girl came and pushed me and suddenly spun out of control and fell on my hand. I heard it pop. It swell y night time so my Mom, who is an amazing Mom like yours Jodie. Heal up soon and wear the wrist brace. It is designed to be worn on tendon injuries or twisted muscles. Hahaha I actually said 'twisted mus-cles'. 😂 I am a weirdo too. 😜 😊❤

Had something similar after I recovered from a broken wrist, and that thing was so good! Not having to worry about bending it in any wrong way. Hope it helps you too, Jodie.
I lived in Blackpool for a few years, twenty years ago. There was a guy always around the town centre, an ex soldier I think, whose left leg was missing above the knee. He got around on a pair of wooden crutches. He got himself a pet dog, a little Yorkie who always came with him whenever he was out and about. Sadly one day the little dog got run over by a car. The slightly eerie part of the story is that the dog survived but lost his left rear leg, the “same” limb as his human.
That's so weird that you have a wrist brace now too, on the same paw no less haha. I hope your wrist isn't too poorly, luckily you don't have to stand on it like Key, I can only hope both of your wrists get better. Key will continue hating his brace I'm sure haha 💗💗💗
Key was so understandable and those eyes looking up at you made me go aww so much, I hope the brace helps your wrist, my son needed one with his carpal tunnel he mostly used it when he slept as he bent the wrist in his sleep it helped a lot and rarely gets pain now 😊.
Jodie try a squeeze ball for your wrist as you don't have to move your wrist just your fingers . It's a way to flex your tendons without moving your wrist .
I wear one periodically myself, usually after days when I’ve been very busy at work (I’m a lorry mechanic). I’ve done something to the muscle group that goes from the base of my thumbs up my forearm to my elbow, basically any movement hurts a ton when it’s “not happy” as I like to say

Its not as bad as the Cone of Shame he once had, but a brace still makes Key uneasy it seems. But then, he also tries to avoid his harness. Or anything attached to his fluffy body.
I was thinking before that you'd benefit from a wrist brace. The moment I put my first one on in the aisle at the store, I felt such tremendous and immediate relief, I actually moaned out loud. lol Yours is a very nice one. I have to get the ones with thumb support, as well. Unfortunately, they inhibit working with your hands, everything from typing to art to housekeeping. So I stretch mine out eventually and have to replace them, because while I need the relief, I equally cannot stop doing. Hope your appointment goes well. 💖
Hi Jodie and K’eyush, Jodie your brace or wrist splint looks similar to the one I wear for Carpal Tunnel,however I wear the brace/ splints on both of my wrist’s, I that pink colour though,mines beige in colour, I find it really helps support my wrist in its correct position and lessen my pain even though I have had both wrists & thumb operations on, thank you for sharing this with us.
