    I grew up in northeast Ohio about 25 miles south of Lake Erie when the farmers would plow and disk there fields then after a rain we could walk around the fields and pick up lots of arrow heads I had 2 cigar boxes full of them unfortunately I don’t have them now but what a thrill it was finding them.😊

      Hey Keith, appreciate the watch. That area you grew up in must have been an outdoorsmans paradise to grow up in. Alot guys on TH-cam are from Ohio with some killer artifacts, and some big bucks. Hate you don't have your arrowheads any more. I know what you mean about the thrill of the hunt. I still get excited with every point I find. Thanks again.

    Looks like bird point city there. I dug up a rock shelter once and found dozens of bird points and oddly enough, no other types of points or any other artifacts.

      Thanks for the watch. This field had a little of everything, Especially the late period points. Would love to hunt it if they ever put a deep plow to it. They only turned it about 8". My Grandfather had a garden like what you are talking about, always found bird points only. Appreciate the watch.

    While hunting twenty miles from Beaver, Utah some time in the late 80's we found several arrow points in perfect condition. It was the oddest thing to find...one or two perhaps but I think we found about ten and we went out in different directions for our hunts. It does not feel so odd now. During that same trip, I came upon the remnants of a cabin and I felt the anguish, despair and fear of a woman's spirit as I approached. The hair rose on the back of my neck for a moment and in my mind I saw a sad young woman with a worried look. I drove a 1986 F250 and with a carburetor it took some doing to climb that mountain out of Beaver to get to our camping spot so I can well imagine some pilgrim with a wagon trying to make that twenty mile trip. I believe I felt his lonely wife waiting for his return. That was Kay's meadow but don't know if that was Kay's spirit. Another time while on the blood trail of a deer in the Prescott National Forest in Arizona, I looked down while crossing a dry creek and something looked odd. It was a greenstone axe head. It is in perfect condition with excellent symmetry throughout. The grooves, like the rest of the axe are smooth with a nicely rounded head like a ball peen hammer. I have yet to see one so well made and proportioned. A very skilled person took the time to make this axe head.

      Thanks for the watch and comments. I would love to visit Utah on day. I follow the off road recovery guys from Utah on TH-cam. I love the scenery that is on their videos. Have seen several shelters and bluffs on their videos that I would love to search for artifacts. I too have taken an old carburetor truck thru the Rockies in the 80's. Young guys today will never understand the struggle. Would love to see that greenstone axe. Thanks again for the watch and comments.

    Cool finds brother. Too bad they use rotor type disc plow now a days they eat up bigger points. Why I don't hunt fields anymore. I liked the old style plows made bigger clods to break down in the rains. Thanks for sharing.

      Hey my Friend, thanks for watching. I wish they they would sink one of those old plows down as deep as they could there. No telling whats down two or three feet there.

    Great hunt Chris! A bunch of Hamiltons and it looked like a bunch of archaic points too. The one you thought to be a Thebes, I'm pretty sure is a Big Sandy. That Big Sandy blunt your cousin found was awesome!! Congrats and good luck on the next one!

      @chriskeenumhighhopesoutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Mike, thanks for the watch. Yes it was a good day for the small stuff. I get the Thebes and Big Sandy wrong about half the time. I agree with you that Big Sandy my Cousin found was a killer find. That's the one point I would love to have out of all them we found.
