Dude! Thanks for your video. I’m from New Zealand so the All Blacks are our “boys”! On a side note the All Blacks have won the Rugby World Cup 3 x times… and our female All Blacks (they’re called “the Black Ferns”) are current World Cup champions, and have won the women’s rugby World Cup 6 times! Also, you gotta check out some former All Blacks, from back in the day… especially Jonah Lomu! But also Christian Cullen, Tana Umaga or Richie McCaw!

Mate, NEw Zealand is a very multi cultural country. Rugby is the national sport so all the Pacific Islanders / New Zealanders grow up playing "footy" rugby. So the All Blacks is a team representing the country. So we have Maori, Fijian, Samoan, Tongans, and us whites all playing together as brothers and playing for family and country. The Polynesian boys are athletic specimens man... big and fast and with natural athleticism. The truely awesome thing is that everyone of these boys identify as Kiwis so unite under the Haka ( Māori culture ) the other pacific island boys have their equivalent, but fire up the Kamate or kappo o pongo with the passion of a warrior. It's one of the gems of all sporting events ever, watching the Haka. Think it's still the case that the all blacks have the highest winning average of any professional sporting team and been doing it for more than 100 years. The AB's have traditionally been determine the yard stick of the game of rugby. Enjoy your experience watching the World Cup mate it's a real treat. The World Cup is in the USA in 2032 I believe, it will be a real party 👍

New Zealanders/Aotearoans are a mix of Europeans, indigenous Māori and Pacific islanders. The Haka is not a dance, but a challenge. It's a sign of respect towards our opposition.
Caleb Clarke is still playing and with the team at the world cup.
The guy you want to watch the most is Ardie Savea an Aotearoan islander born here in NZ in Wellington. He plays number 8 at the back of the scrum.
Will Jordan is the other absolutely amazing player having scored 26 tried in 26 games. That's outstanding and beyond world class.
The smallest guy in the team is almost always the 'Half Back' he stands just behind the scrum and maul and distributes the ball to the rest of the team.
    And here:
Number 1 - Tight head prop
    Number 2 - Hooker
Number 3 - Loose head prop
    4 - Lock
    5 - Lock
    6 - Blind side flanker
    7 - Open side(loose forward ) flanker(loose forward)
    8 - Number 8 (loose forward)
    9 - Half Back
    10 - First five 8th
    11 - Winger (left)
    12 - Inside centre
    13 - Outside Centre
    14 - Winger (right)
    15 - Full back
These are New Zealand terms. The Northern hemisphere use slight variations, like calling the number 10 a fly half and number 9 a scrum half
    Happy to help.

Māori and Hawaiians left Hawaii about the same time 1000 a.d. the Māori went to New Zealand. Hawaiians went to Hawaii. They were superb sailors. One of the reasons they were able to survive has to do with their size and fitness. Captain James Cook, the famous British explorer was stunned by the size of these men. Numbers in Rugby Union are allocated to players by positions...1 is a front-row forward, through to 15 who is the fullback. Numbers from 16 to 22 are allocated to bench players who will come on later in a game. Bench players come on once, replacing a player who will leave the game permanently. Starting players will often have the same number game after game, but bench players can be any position, regardless of their number.

In Rugby the number indicate the position of the player with 1 - 8 being the forwards and 15 being the full back. No 11 is the left wing and was the position of the greatest player of all Johah Lomu who sadly died at only 40. Try doing a reaction to him.

Couple of points. Good reaction! The Haka is a Maori challenge performed before each game. I think the example shown was Kapo o Pango, a relatively newer version to take into consideration New Zealand's inclusiveness of other Pacific Islanders born/raised in NZ. The one performed in the game today against Italy was Ka mate (pronounced ka matay". The first lines of which are "ka mate ka mate, ka ora ka ora", roughly translated as "It is life, It is life, it is death, it is death", or "Am I dead or am I alive?" Also, the numbers on the players back are for the position of the player. No.11 is Left-Wing. There were multiple players playing that position in this video. Numbers 16-23 are Reserves and usually there is a 5-3 split between Forwards and Backs of the eight Reserves. So that number 22, was also a back but could have been a replacement for any Backline player (nos 9-15). Starting Forwards are 1-8. Hope that makes sense.

Hey mate. You'll see the numbers 1-15 in every game. In rugby the numbers actually mean something, they show what position the player plays, which is the same in every team ( 1, 3 = props 2= hooker 4,5 = locks 6,7 = flankers 8 = last man in the scrum 9= scrumhalf 10= fly half 11= left wing 12 = inside centre, 13= outside centre 14= right wing 15 = full back). Hope you enjoyed the Italy game, although it's not a very good match, when the two teams are very mismatched. Better to watch Fiji instead, enjoy the World Cup. Cheers.

And the Maoris have intermarried with European settlers so that most "Maoris" are now half, quarter, eighth- caste. A lot of Maori blood spread amongst New Zealanders! Also, there are a significant number of Samoan immigrants, and they are prominent amongst sports stars in NZ.

👌🏼 Thank you, it was frustrating me hearing that from the OP… All numbers are associated with specialist positions, Tight 5(1-5, scrummagers) 6-8 Loose Forward (the bane of the opposition) 9 Halfback(feeds the scrums and generally passes from breakdown. Also the littlest person on the field BUT they have the biggest heart and will Topple giants) 10 Flyhalf(Northern Hemisphere) or
1st 5/8th, should have the highest strategy or Gake IQ. 11 & 14 - Left and Right hand Wingers (traditionally, left has a been a bigger fast ball carrier, while Right is one of the speedsters with amazing co-ordination) 12-13 are the Centre’s, used to make but tackles in the mid-field and have strong run with ball in hand. (12 is called 2nd 5/8th for the majority of the world bar the UK) 13 is just Center.
Last but by absolutely no means least! The FULLBACK no.15. Has to be in position at all times to read where the ball is coming from and how best to return it with pace and the team dr sneaky kick n chase.
If you ever get a change and want to watch brilliance look up the folliwing
      ALL BLACKS

Any decent school boy 1st XV would absolutely embarrass the black ferns. Women's rugby lacks real speed, strength and power.

Hawaiians and Native New Zealanders are both Polynesian people. Polynesians are descended from a maritime people from the coast of modern south China, who spread across the Indian and Pacific Oceans all the way from Madagascar to Easter Island, andthey did it all paddling hollowed out logs.

Enjoyed your reaction. Most of these guys are Polynesian so born and breed in their countries but brought over and schooled here in NZ, and the rest are made up from our white NZers and Māori men. They also have a ruling that they respect the game on and off the field, that also goes for their attitude towards the fellow players and the opposition. You wouldn't find a better bunch of respectful guys that will get on the field and play their hearts out for their country but after that, they are all great friends. Hope your still watching the game. Keep it real 😊

the smallest guy is usually the half back, he puts the ball into the scrum, he's a distributer of the ball from rucks and mauls, he's usually around 85 kilos, also these guys are big because rugby at All Black's level is professional and they spend a lot of time in the gym.

It's not a food, it's who we are. We we're only colonized in the last 200 odd years, it means we literally were warriors just 3 generations ago.... it's in our blood ❤
