Gotta say, the production quality for the ironman series this time around is insane. Loving it.

Agree, I know how much work goes into making videos with high production value like this, and I can tell you that it’s not easy at all! I don’t think he’s filming or editing these himself though, but even still, have to give credit where due as it’s not easy to even find an editor that can do this properly in line with his vision.

Hey Nick please do a video on explaining your exact 6 month training plan for iron man. How many swims a week, bike and run. How many hours that increases every week. How many brick days. How does that differ from your last training plan. So if someone wants to put in the same work we can have a written schedule to go off

Not sure if Nick or his team reads comments, but I was a competitive swimmer up until college and the single best pieces of advice I can give (because nobody ever mentions it unless you're deep in the weeds) are (1) you do not have to have your fingers together during freestyle -- there is enough surface tension on the water that you can give yourself "webbing" if they are a little separated and (2) when rotating from side to side, lead with your hips -- think about if you were doing a martial arts throw over your shoulder how much easier it is to lead with your hips/core and replicate that

Your protein far and away tastes the best, but the sucralose affects my digestion in a very perceptible way. Studies regarding its effect on gut bacteria are readily available from the public sector. Switch the other supps from sucralose to stevia or monkfruit and I will buy BPN exclusively for the rest of my life.

I agree 100%, but today’s culture is all about buying into quick fixes or whatever products promise faster or better results. Hi Nick! I love seeing more of your swimming in your videos you're doing awesome! I am a college swimmer at UNLV and I can already see three or more things you could work on that would help you out so much.
    1. Your catch looks different when you are swimming with a pull bouy, it looks better. When you're swimming with a buoy your stroke looks so much better because your hips have the help of the buoy to be lifted out of the water. When your swimming try to mimmic how it holds you up and helps you glide through the water better. See how it holds you up and how your arms lengthen out. You can go back and watch the video, you can see it clearly the difference it makes!
    2. When you breathe your bringing your head to far out of the water which is slowing down your stroke, at least one of your eyes should still be in the water when you breathe at all times.
    3. Lengthen out those arms, when you're entering the water your elbows are extremely bent, when your fingertips enter the water they should be in line with your shoulders. When YOUR arms are entering the water they are in front of your head. Lengthen out your arms and keep then strait, when you pull that it when you can bend your elbows but only a little bit!
Any ways I hope these will help, I love all your videos they inspire me every time I watch them!

I'm sure your coach will get to this eventually but you put your arms (more so on the right arm) in the water too early, which is creating some drag against you. If you enter it when your arm is fully extended, you don't have to push underwater to get your hand to the top of the catch. For 25s and 50s you won't feel it much but over 2 miles, that's a lot of drag.

@Michael Daugherty You can't talk about 'not knowing what you're talking about' and then say that he is a natural athlete. He is hard working, he really is. But he is for sure not natural, you just can't do that much low intensity training and resistance training and still make so much progress on both. You have to give up 1. He isn't natural, and he is wrong for saying he is so he can sell more of his stuff because people want to achieve what he has already achieved. I still have major respect for him for working that hard on training and his business.

@@benst7965 lol you seen any PRs from him in the gym? No...of course not. He's training hours a day for an Ironman. Hes not even maintaining his strength. He's only in the gym because he enjoys it. As he's said many times, he is way lighter than he used to be before triathlon training. You must be delusional if you think muscle just falls off your body when you stop lifting for hours a day. It doesnt...

Is the breath in every 2nd stroke your choice or recommended by your coach? Don't you get dizzy looking only one side?

Is there a reason why the strong greens seems to last longer than the strong reds? I’ve been stacking both for months and I’ve made each a level scoop?
