- As soon as we arrived in Guam from Saipan we went straight to Sherlys shop to eat the crispy pata. They do have big servings and the pata was chopped to bite sizes.
Afterwards, we went to the base to see it since it’s my first time. The base was huge with nice housings and have their own beach area that would be exclusively for militaries.
Before the day ends, we went to the the popular mall in Guam, the Micronesia mall. With Filipino restaurants close by.

I thought they closed this base. Spent 3 years on Guam in the 80's. When we moved home port from Concord California to Guam the crew had some culture problems. Lots of fights and some guys tore up the trees by the barracks. Three things I frequently did on base, the gym, movie theater, and frequently went to McDonalds by the main gate then drove to Dadi beach to eat. Dadi beach was a quiet place nobody ever went to back then. Had a 1984 Mazda 323 hatchback. Still have pictures of it and Guam......somewhere. Sold the car to one of my shipmates when my EOS came up. Guam is a nice place. Back then you could set your watch at 2pm every day because it would rain every day at 2pm for about 15 minutes. Brings back memories. Have fun. 👍

Thanks for the tour! Will be heading to Guam next year and your video really gave me a good view of the base! Question, if you live in base housing is there an electrical outlet inside the garage? Asking because we own a Tesla and need to be able to charge. Thanks in advance.
